Chit Chat Thread (Part 2)

The same old pain Janet.
Just been sorting out all the paperwork and forms i have got to take with me on Thursday and medication, making sure i have filled the form in correctly.

Morning all.

Nothing planned for the day, just a boring Sunday.

Have a nice day all.

Morning all, milder here this morning so no defrosting the car, yippee…

A morning in my favourite place the kitchen for me, stewing some fruit, baking some bread and making a large batch of spiced carrot and parsnip soup, some for lunch and some for the freezer, luvverly…

Have a pleasant Sunday everyone

Good morning all.
Also overcast and a bit milder. Still a bit muddy on the field.
I have got to bath Minnie as she is giving me itchy eyes when I cuddle her. Yes I am allergic to cats and it seems now I could be allergic to Minnie. It also could be that when I go to my daughters who has a very hairy cat, and I take Minnie and they play together.
I was telling you about the mess in the corner of the field. Picture of it.

Morning all.

Up late this morning, so I am behind.

Morning all.

Off out at 7.45am to do our weekly shopping, then at 9am we have decorator coming.

Have a nice day all.

Morning all.

An early one for me. Been for dog walk, having breakfast, then will think about getting out to Asda (shop and petrol) and maybe Dunelm.

Good morning all l
I hope all your aches and pains are not so troublesome this morning.
Well I shall not be going on the Monday group walk as my knees are giving me grief.
It is still gloomy weather here but not so cold. Did the usual fields walk with Minnie,

Morning peeps, no frost here but chilly and overcast, so not much cheer at the moment…

Just been doing the morning chores whilst Rosemary did the Monday Tesco thing. Having five minutes now before taking the hounds to the woods and I’ll be making chicken pie and mash for lunch, but no other plans as yet but hey, just a minute, I’ve just remembered that the photo comp ends today, so that’s my afternoon sorted now…

Have an easy day folks

Morning all.

Must get my blue bin out into the alley before I do much else. It is full to the brim. Went round the house the other day gathering together delivery boxes, dog food wrappings that I’d discarded, up in the spare room, and boxes of items bought. I don’t fill it up each collection day, which is every fortnight, and decided to get rid of what I could.

Then dog walk, a quick breakfast, and to the cafe for 11. Will take Holly this week.

Good morning all l
Been and come back from my weekly shopping at Sainsbury’s.
Also just got the making of a bread in the bread maker. Did I mention that I now use honey instead of sugar. It seems to make the bread lighter.
Done an early stroll around the fields, and really got close to one of theFoxes that was not paying attention.
Overcast and not really that cold.
Now going to do my morning puzzles on the other ipad.

I enjoy the morning puzzles too Emjay, good way to keep the grey matter going they say…

Good morning everyone, just walked the dogs and not much more on my agenda other than lasagne for lunch and clipping the dog’s claws, so I’ll probably do a bit more on my model for a couple of hours.

Wishing you all a pleasant and pain free day.

I keep meaning to use my new food mixer to knock up a bread from a mix. Haven’t had the time or inclination yet, lol. Bought two packets, and will use half to make a small loaf, each time.

I see ITV are now offering online games. I might take a look. The advert said play for free. Hmmm, remains to be seen. Fed up with the apps on my iPad so want something different now.

Edited. Nope, can’t find any sign of it.

I have the online paper @Jazzi , so get fresh puzzles every day. I usually do the crossword, an anagram game and a sudoku or two through the day in quieter moments.

I get the Daily Mail online too, but don’t do the puzzles. In fact, I’ve not read an edition for a few days now. Been busy stuck in a library book.

Barry. These model airplanes that you make, are they flying ones or plastic static.

They are only the balsa rubber band models @Emjay and I only use them for display. I used to build control line back in the day but we lost our flying ground so gave it up for many years after that, too busy anyway running a business. These days I make them just for the pleasure of making them, I have considered RC but can’t really be bothered with it all…

They altered the puzzle pages a couple of weeks ago Jan and I hated the new format, but discovered that right at the bottom of the puzzle page is a link to the puzzles in the old format, so Barry’s a happy bunny again… :+1:

Ah yes Barry. Those were the days of balsa and rubber power. ā€œ just another 10 turns, 7, 8, crash, the tail joins the nose.
I have been making flying models since a kid.
Later I progressed to gliders, balsa wings and tail, with plastic fuselages. With home built RC.
Moving on to about 15+ years ago I started again with the foam models that are so easy to repair. All electric RC. Also before they called them drones, trycopters and quadcopters. Early FPV was as I said cool after a first tried my mates.
As you said about loosing flying fields and also thanks to the idiots and their drones, the new licensing laws. Has almost killed it. I still have 13 models collecting dust.

Yes it seems these new drones have taken over most model aviation these days, but for me the pleasure was always in the building rather than the flying, and that hasn’t changed really. Trouble is I’m running out of space now for the completed aircraft and I’m currently building a Corsair, so I’ll have to think about passing some of the others on to my youngest grandson (5 years old). OK they’ll get smashed eventually but it may give him some pleasure first, plus making some room here for another one or two… :grinning:
