Chit Chat Thread (Part 2)

Yesterday afternoon I had 2 visitors in my garden.

Morning all.

How many of us tried clicking on the arrow on Emjay’s pic? Or was it just me, lol?

Damp n miserable here too.

Still not sorted out sis and her gas top up. I will probably be going to hers today to see if anyone at her supplier answers the phone and can help. A priority is getting her new card ordered.

No, not just you Jan, I tried to play it a couple of times too

Good morning all.

Me to, nothing happened!

Its cold, wet and miserable outside.

Have a nice day all.

Morning all, same here too weatherwise, not much joy out there

Nothing much of any consequence to do today, just the usual pottering about and odd jobs to do in the workshop

Have a good day everyone

Morning folks.

Emjay had us all fooled then, with it being just a photo.

Sis has now been sorted. Her supplier emailed her later yesterday with info on where to collect a blank gas card and how to top it up. It is in Gt Yarmouth where, fortunately, she is at work later today, so can collect it. Phew.

So, on that note, I will go off to the retail park today. Specifically Pets at Home for some flea treatment. Wanted to do Holly last week but somehow hadn’t got round to buying a new pack. Thought I had, and have searched everywhere. I can see if any new biscuits have been delivered, but doubt that, and can go into Morrisons also.

Getting there will be easier now the junction has been reopened following works. We had to detour and that was a nuisance. My way is a quick cut through.

Enjoy your day.

Good morning all.
Just back from Sainsbury’s and my daughter has just turned up. She is away for 2 weeks from tomorrow. Sainsbury’s was almost empty with lack of customers.
Might go and visit my friend later this afternoon.
Yes that was just a grab shot from the video and enlarged. I tried to post the video but it will not let me on here. Unless I am doing it wrong.

I had to wait a bit for my washing to finish in the TD, then I made my move to the shops. Still coming down in fits and bursts, plenty of large puddles everywhere.

Got what I wanted. Watched the assistant in PaH rummaging right at the back of the till cupboard for the flea treatment, thinking ‘please let there be a box’, and he found it. Yay! Spent a lot of dosh in Morrisons and home bargains.

We shared toast for lunch then did her walk. I shall now not do anything strenuous for the rest of the day. :grinning:. Will settle down with my library book till time to feed her.

Looking forward to Spring. At least the days have started to get lighter. But
I was thinking what are the odds given this mild winter that we will have blizzards in May ?

Good morning all.

OFF OUT AT 7.45AM TO DO MY WEEKLY SHOPPING AND THAT’S IT.

HAVE A NICE DAY ALL.

Morning all.

Oooh, hope not, Annie! :astonished:. I am so fed up of feeling cold, and getting wet on dog walks.

Hopefully a lazy day for me. Sister’s problem still not sorted but she intends trying to ring her supplier today and just asking for the replacement gas card to be sent out. The shop couldn’t activate the blank one with the code she’d been sent. Everything made difficult with the extra bank holidays, meaning severely restricted services and no post, as goodness knows when she will receive it. She could run out of gas in that time.

Have a nice day. I will finish my current library book at some point.

Now there’s a cheery thought

Morning all, and once again it’s pouring with rain, looks like another walk with the dogs a little later rather than sooner

Once again no plans but having developed a nasty cold over the last day or two then a jigsaw in the warm will be quite enough thanks

Have a pleasant day everyone

Good morning all.
Weather here is not all that wonderful. I noticed that the rain had stopped so I did the morning Minnie walk earlier than usual.
I went to visit my ‘new’ friend yesterday. She has a loverly bungalow, just a short 7 minute drive from me.
We had tea and biscuits and a good natter. She still works, and does mostly charity counselling.
Today? Might get the vacuum cleaner out. My SIL gave me a book that he had just finished. I started to read it and it is one of those stories that it is difficult to put down.
Daughter and her lot are off now to Antigua for 2 weeks and are at the airport now as I write.

Good morning all.
Not going anywhere today.
Have a nice day all.

Morning all.

Get well soon Barry.
And Susie, with your continuing pain.

No specific plans for me today, but at some point I need to decide what to do with my laptop. Do I try the computer repair show near me, for a new battery? Or take it to the service centre in Lowestoft of the shop where I bought it, in case it’s something else? I suppose getting a new battery would be the first obvious choice. But first I need to see what is on the laptop that I wouldn’t want to get lost. Suppose that’s my day sorted, then.

I’d like to install Office software on it, but thought, best wait till new battery sorted, and then also get a new internet security suite. Was looking at the latter in Currys.

Good morning all.
It’s a bit late for me now, but it don’t matter. I have no need to go out for anything so it is safer indoors.
Minnie got me up at 0130 as she wanted to go out. Don’t know why as it was no emergency. She just wandered around the garden and then did a wee.
Done the usual walk just now. Going to do my morning puzzles, and then will just let it happen.

Many thanks @Jazzi but it seems a little better today, although Rosemary is still laid low with hers after a couple of weeks so fingers crossed :crossed_fingers:for me not going down the same road

Morning everyone, a much better start here, dry and very mild so no complaints for a change. :sunglasses:

Just back from walking the hounds and having a brew before making some bread and cooking cottage pie for lunch, but no other plans as yet.

Have a pleasant day folks

Are you not on cat duty?

Took the dog for a walk to the computer shop just before lunchtime. Wearing my heavy coat. Laptop bag slung over my shoulder. The bag containing Holly’s bits needed on our walks. And her, straining this way and that on the lead.

Front door slammed a bit on my way out, I put that down to the open bedroom window.

Computer shop closed. Weather warming up, coat had to come off on way home. Holly still flipping pulling me.

Get home.

Argh!!! Back door wide open! I’d gone out and left it like that. How? I mean
how!!! I always close and lock it when she comes in from the garden. How did I miss it after visiting the bathroom before leaving?

Someone elsewhere said good job the neighbourhood cats didn’t come in. Yup. Think Holly would have flushed them out by now.

I really must pay more attention to what I’m (not) doing. :astonished::astonished:

Good morning everyone, very mild here and sun forecast for later, so I may try to get out in the garden for a couple of hours to do some tidying up, seems ages since it was last fit to do so.
No other plans but no doubt something will turn up

Wishing you all a pleasant day and safe celebrations for tonight.
