I may get the bus into town this morning, see if I can get more milk and bread to see me over the weekend. M&S is always handy for them.
And if the library is open, return a couple and browse for more.
Will mean carrying everything but I haven’t used my bus pass for awhile and the stop is closer to home. (The route had been changed for a long time, meaning a longer walk to a stop, different bus number.)
Holly, bless her, needed to go out around 7.30. I got an unexpected lick on the face to alert me, while I was still half asleep. It was still dark when we went.
Morning everyone, just back from walking the dogs and catching a brew before nipping over to Mum’s with her xmas gifts.
Nothing much else planned but there is always cleaning the bathroom…
Good morning all.
A little bit late today but it don’t matter.
Just back from the muddy walk with Minnie.
Not a lot to do today, just going to make a bread, and give Minnie a trim.
I have changed an ingredient in my bread making. Instead of using sugar, (one teaspoon) I now use honey. I find it makes the bread a lighter feel.
Good morning all.
It is also mild here at the moment, but very damp.
I have a friend coming for lunch today, (a new one) ??? it will just be sandwiches and filling of her choice with my super home made bread.
I know what you mean Barry about boring Christmas. After the festivities of tomorrow, there is not a lot one can do. Thank goodness for Netflix and Cinema. But that even feels like there must be more than that in life.
Maybe I need another hobby. Stamp collecting? Yea right.
Yes, apart from seeing sis and her family for a brief couple of hours tomorrow, it will be business as usual for me and the dog this weekend.
I have gift wrapping to do today. Some toys to take over the road to neighbour’s dog (as she hinted there was something intended for Holly from Daisy). The bags containing sweets and biscuits for sis’s three children going tomorrow are already in the car boot, hidden.
Some tidying up to do. Just the usual boring everyday stuff!
Got the dinner in the oven whilst typing also washing has been done and in the dryer.
Will do breakfast next. Then prepare my Prawn Cocktails and Prep my Vegs.
Good morning all.
No cooking here either. I am going to my daughter for the feast.
Just going to open my presents soon.
As usual for Saturday, the laundry has to be done. First load nearly finished.
So as said… Have a nice day all and remember, you are celebrating the birth of a loverly Jewish boy.
Muzeltof.
Good morning all.
So after the festivities of yesterday, it now becomes a day of rest. Well what else can one do? It is raining now and even Minnie will not go out. Fortunately it was not raining when we first got up so she did wander around the garden, doing what ever.
Amongst other things, I got a Karcher window cleaning device. I am still trying to work out what all the bits do.
Have a good day People.
P.S. Sorry to hear that Susie. What can you do? Just keep taking the tablets, but I know even they don’t help much.
So sorry to hear that Susie, not a pleasant way to spend any day never mind Christmas, sending (((hugs)))
It’s been tipping down most of the morning but we are hopeful of getting a walk after a light lunch of soup and a baguette, maybe a film then before teatime.
Tried to get on here this morning but first dog wanted a play, then time was spent phoning/texting sis and/or her daughter, sis was sposed to come this afternoon but she phoned not long ago, saying she’d fallen asleep. So that leaves me with the afternoon free.
We still have the small matter of having to contact her energy supplier. The card went missing yesterday, so after her D spoke to the supplier, they went out this morning and fitted a new meter, with £10. But she needs a new card and if they don’t open till 4th January, we need to speak to someone. I want a code so we can try getting her top up put on the meter.
I had earlier cooked a Turkey dinner, out the front with Holly for a quick wee. Fed her.
Good morning everyone, fog and drizzle here again, where has the sun gone…
Once again no plans for the day, just leftovers for lunch and then maybe a film or something this afternoon, although I may spend a pleasant hour or so deciding what seeds to order for spring.
Good morning all.
It is not raining yet but damp and what I call miserable weather. Not even the foxes were out, so that must mean something.
Got a bread making and that should finish in 34 minutes.
I am going with my daughter to Bermondsey this morning to take their COVID tests to the testing place, for the pre-flight certificates, as they are going away on Wednesday.
That will be an outing for me, yea right.
