Chit Chat Thread (Part 2)

Morning all, thick fog here earlier but clearing a little now although still quite damp and miserable…

Dogs walked now and having a brew before doing a couple of odd jobs before lunch, but nothing planned for after that.

Good to hear you got the jabs eventually Emjay.

Have a pleasant day everyone

Morning all.

Brilliant news Emjay. Hope they work for you.

Foggy here, a bit, and some coffee group ladies have pulled out of the garden centre meet up, which is down country lanes. It may well have cleared up (it is from 11am) but I don’t blame them for being cautious, just a week before Christmas. I wasn’t going, myself.

I need to get out for some milk. Just thrown some away and so started on my last pint. Debating where to go, either a local shop, paying a lot, or jumping in the car to a nearby SM.

Good morning all, its very foggy here.
Have had the Bird in the oven since 5am this morning, its out now resting before carving up.
Nothing planned for the day.
Have a nice day all.

Morning Susie, nothing planned here either but no doubt I will find something to pass the time…

Have a good day everyone

Good morning all.
Resting my knee and watching TV most of the day, did not help me sleep last night.
So today I shall make sure that I do things.
Very Misty out, and damp.
Lunch today will be lamb cutlets, supplied by my daughter.

Morning all.

Spag Bol for me, that I should have had yesterday.

WM will go on soon, and when finished, I will pop to the retail park, a few places I want/need.

Emjay, does your knee feel better though?

Yes, that fog has been sticking around a few days. Nasty here. And cold with it!!

Morning all, another miserable day outside.
Only going to do my weekly shopping this morning and that’s it.
Have a nice day all.

Good morning all.
It is also very damp and miserable out. I have no need to go out today, also nothing planed.
Yes Jan the injections are taking effect, but as advised, taking it easy.
So I shall not be going on the Monday group walk.

Morning all.

Wise move, Emjay.

I need to get ready soon to take the dog out. But she did ask for a garden visit in the night, so maybe not quite so desperate.

Good morning all.

Sending Rob out this morning after breakfast to do some last minute things for me, QD, Wilko, Morrison’s, Butchers and pick up my medications.

While I just enjoy myself on my new laptop.

Nice to speak to you Janet.

Have a nice day all.

Good morning everyone, a quiet day for us after meeting the relatives in the pub yesterday, so just about to leave for our walk with the dogs and nothing planned for later apart from a quick microwaved curry at lunch.

Wishing you all a good day

Morning folks.

You too, Susie. Sorry to hear about all that pain!

I must get out today, for some shopping. Stayed home yesterday to finish a good book so will lay off the reading for a few days, just so I can get these other chores out the way. I know, I know, I will only be away a couple of hours on Christmas Day, just long enough for dinner with sister and her visitors, and the rest of the time is my own, but it would be nice to forget about washing, tidying, laundry etc for a couple of days.

I will make my own Turkey dinner and trifle on Boxing Day, with most of the stuff in the freezer/cupboard. Just need to make sure there will be enough veg, milk, bread.

I am getting a bit concerned with Pets at Home, as their stock of loose dog biscuits is very, very low to the point of non existence. When I was in Sunday half of the tubs were completely empty. It’s getting worse each time I go in. I’m still annoyed with them, changing the selection, but as Holly does have her favourites am not sure what to do if the time comes I cannot stock up. I always leave her bowl well stocked up each day, and she rummages about in it at any time when she’s peckish, especially just before bed time.

I’d best get dressed and walk her, have breakfast then get out.

Have a good day.

Good morning all
Just back from Sainsbury’s, and got all that I needed. It was already busy so good thing I went when I did.
My daughter beat me to it as she was coming out as I went in.
So got a bit of cooking to do today and tomorrow.
I did my early walk with Minnie as usual, and it was still dark when we went out.

Good morning all, got a lovely red sky here.
Nothing planned for the day, apart from cooking a Beef Casserole.
Have a nice day all.

Morning folks.

I shall stay home today, apart from the usual dog walks, and find stuff to do indoors. Bed linen needs to be washed (forgot the last load and plan to change the bed soon). Check Holly’s worming and flea treatment, when due.

Also, I had my email from the car insurers, with next month’s premium. Might need to phone because it has doubled. This is, of course, due to the two scrapes I had, with both drivers claiming against me. It is now £756. Never had it that high. I was under the impression I was not allowed a third strike, so now I am not sure what this means for my NCD. When I am sitting comfortably I will get out my password and open up the documents. No point in trying comparisons because of the details they need and ask for, like the cost of each claim.

Have a nice day.

Morning everyone, hard frost here but dry and bright so not bad for late December… :sunglasses:

Just back from walking the dogs and planning my few jobs for the day, but apart from shopping for veg, warming up fish pie for lunch and combing the dogs it’s an easy enough day.

Always worth a comparison @Jazzi , when Rosemary had a serious prang (12k’s worth😳), it only put twenty quid on her premiums…

Hope you are all ok and have a pleasant day

Good morning all.
COLD! And frosty. But I expect you all know this.
Just back from morning stroll with Minnie.
I expect a visit from my son and grand kids. He is taking them out and will be just stopping to say hello. They will not be coming into my house as my son is very anti vaccine. He has had both jabs but refuses to have a booster. I don’t know what the situation is with his kids.
So apart from that, I am going to make the mince for the shepherds pies, that I shall bag and freeze for when needed.
I might take a walk to Morrison to get a plant for my son-in-laws parents.

Oooh Barry! Mine were surface scrapes, though my car had a few parts replaced on the first one. I didn’t claim for my own car the second time, paying it myself.

Yes Emjay, it is very cold!

Got £90 off, loyalty discount. I told the very helpful young lady that the document was still showing as protected bonus, which has confused me. But it has been removed thanks to the two claims. Oh well. £90 off is better than nothing.

Good morning all.
Sent Rob out at 6am this morning to Tesco for me, when he came back he said it was packed, at that time in the morning.
Have a nice day all.
