Written most of my cards, so pleased about that. Had to buy a few more just now in the local shop when out walking the dog. Finished lunch so will crack on.
There was of course a brief interlude during the writing as the dog wanted a play, so it was a case of throwing the ball, fetching it from inches in front of her nose, or getting down on hands and knees to fish it out from under furniture. I really must find a way to block them (sideboard and two tv units).
Good morning all.
The rain has cleared but still very cold.
As always for me on a Saturday, it is laundry day.
I had my daughter and grandson here last evening, and then my son also turned up as he was passing and on his way home. Family gatherings what?
Nothing yet planed for today, so just let it happen.
Well as it is a rotten day out there, I donāt need anything urgently, cards have been written, dog has been walked, Iāve finished breakfast, I might go back to bed for a little longer. Feel tired still.
A home cooked chicken casserole has been taken from the freezer to defrost for later. Any other jobs can wait. Night night!
Have been phoning 119 to get my Covid Booster, 3 times I have phoned them, but none left in my area, but yesterday going through Gorleston in the Car I noticed a Walk-In centre what was opened and a queue outside, so we are going to try it this morning, hopefully it will be open, and get there early, if its close then we will just have to come back and try again another day.
Good morning all.
Cold and damp here. It was raining earlier when I got up, and was late in doing so.
Being in London Susie, it is so easy finding places for the jabs and boosters, which I have already had.
I was thinking of phoning a friend and seeing if she wanted to come for a walk and tea or coffee later. But it will be too cold to do this for her.
Lunch! My daughter brought me some cooked lamb and veg. All I have to do is some baked potatoes.
Ah! Just looked at the light shade in this room where I am sitting, and I am going to clean it.
Sheep or Lion, which are you? do you run with the crowd because you donāt have the guts to go it alone, or a person who does their own thing irrespective of what others think.
Me I have always stood out from the crowd, I canāt bear the sheep type that crawl and try to please all and sundry and donāt realise how demeaning they are making themselves.
Morning everyone, a real cold wind here today, but weāve walked the dogs now so back in the warm with a hot brew and no intentions of going anywhere at the moment.
Nothing on my agenda so a jigsaw and film day ahead methinks.
@susiejaeger , have you tried www.swiftqueue.co.uk to book your appointment? We used it up here for all three, and they always seemed to have some left nearbyā¦
This may be of use to you. I was searching around where I live and found that the NHS websites didnāt list chemists now doing the booster jab. Boots and Halls chemists are doing them and there are both walk-in and appointments so perhaps worth checking out. The link below is the NHS website for Suffolk, which I believe is your area:
I had managed to book my booster (online) with no problem. I wonder if the venue is the same one Susie drove past? But donāt think it is a walk in centre.
When dog and I left for her first walk it was dry. The sun was rising nicely in the east, there was a wonderful rainbow over in the west. We turned a few cornersā¦and it started raining on us! Argh. We got damp enough that everything had to be hung up to dry when home.and oh lookā¦a clear blue sky now. Grrr.
Had my Booster done at 8am this morning at James Paget Hospital, when I came Janet, there was a big queue at the one you went to, near the Police Station.
I was in bed at 7.30pm last night, as I was in agony with my Back, Bum, Leg, and I just couldnāt sleep, I had painkillers that didnāt work, so iām up early this morning and still in pain.
Sorry I disturbed you and hubby last night when I tried phoning, just thought it was early enough. Will try and talk later. Hope you feel better later.
I must get to the library, then nearby PO, get the cards sent off to the US. And withdraw some cash from their machine. I need a tenner to hand over to the lady tomorrow organising the meal.
Good morning all, a cold wind out there today and a maximum 3Ā°C forecast with sleet and rainā¦ brrrrrrā¦
Just back from the Tesco shop and having a brew to warm back up. Iāll be cooking pie and mash for lunch today then we are having a run over to The Range for a look around and to maybe pick up some paints.
Susie you sound in a hell of a state, I feel for you I really do, thereās nothing wears you down more than chronic pain and I do hope it eases for you before longā¦
Good morning all.
Yes cold again but well it is December. Not raining yet but I am watching the muck moving in from the West.
I am hoping to go on the Monday group walk. Got all my waterproof stuff if it does rain.
Aches and pain comes with age. Just got to grin and bare it.
Got my knee injections booked for 19th at the Roding hospital.
