Chit Chat Thread (Part 2)

Morning all.

We went to bed before 8. I was uncomfortable on the sofa, nothing on telly, hurting everywhere so thought, dammit, let’s go up. Had to get dog outside for a wee after I’d had a little read, but settled down to sleep. A reasonable night for me.

Going back into bed now, had a cuppa and first tablets. Too early to stay up.

Might pop into town, see if my meds are ready, and collect a library book. Other than, an easy day is planned.

Good morning all. COLD. Yes it is. Although bright out but was glad to get back.
I am going on the Monday group walk later. 11-12, so that should warm me up.
Oh you poor ladies. I suppose that is the results of an active early life. Hold up. What about this man? Knees, back, clicking thumb and fingers. Join the club. I have. :weary::hugs::crazy_face:

Good morning all, sorry to hear of all of your problems, but also rather embarrassed to admit that I feel quite well…:flushed:

Yes, good frost here too but at least forecast a bright day anyway… :sunglasses:

Just back from the Tesco shop and no other plans at the moment.

Try to have a good day regardless

I could feel that cold yesterday, Emjay. Even throwing a long coat over my DG for the dog’s wee, I could feel it. And she just kept sniffing, circling the stones (traffic calming measures outside the house, with grassy bits…ideal for her quick wees), and then looking up the road, I’m saying to her, all the time ‘come on Holly, do a wee. Good girl wee wee. Come on, I’m cold!’ Lol.

But I am glad to say I feel marginally better (and brighter) this morning. Maybe yesterday was a combination of my fall, and the booster jab, but I needed that bed rest. I will still take it easy.

Sorry to hear of others suffering.

Thanks for the weather warning. Will don my thicker coat.

Edited. Blimey Barry, I’m not even finished breakfast or dressed, and you’ve been to Tesco and back. Sheesh.

We always have a lie in on the winter months until 5.30 Jan, rather than the 5.00 rise in the rest of the year, so actually quite late for us… :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Errrrmmm…5am, 5.30. Usually still asleep. Still the middle of the night for us. :astonished::astonished:

Good morning all, had a better sleep last night.
Going to try and venture out this morning to the shops with hubby and end up with Fish & Chips.

Have a nice day all.

Good morning all.
Very cold out here. But I expect that you all know that.
Frost crunching underfoot as I walked around the fields with Minnie.
I am going shopping a bit later this morning, give the staff a chance to fill the shelves. Maybe about 0900. Also the early traffic would have subsided a bit.
So unless my daughter tells me that she is going to Hatton garden again, then I shall go with her. Otherwise nothing else planed for today.

Good morning all.

Not going out today.

Got the Boss from the Conservatory Company coming down sometime today, we had an argument with his yesterday afternoon on how bad his Workers man of the roof, so we will see what the outcome is.

Have a nice day all.

Good morning all.
Again it is cold out here. Colder than yesterday, I think.
Plans for today! I am going to the ‘cake and company’ for a natter with the ladies and the other men. More woman than men, and at times in the past I am the only man there, yes the woman do fuss with me. “More tea, have you tried this cake”? :croissant::pizza::birthday::pie::cookie::doughnut:🫖
Oh it is wonderful.
Again the Hatton garden outing with my daughter was cancelled. Now planed for Thursday.

Good morning everyone, sounds a real treat there for you Emjay, you old lothario you… :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Nothing anywhere near as exciting here, justva cottage pie for lunch and I’ll be sorting out the photo comp this afternoon.

Hope everyone is feeling better and recovering from their woes.

Good luck with the conservatory people Susie, worth noting any problems now rather than trying to get them back later…

Have a good day folks

Morning all.

I had no time for all my good mornings yesterday, what with rushing to get out for the trip to Norwich. Just six of us. We had a coffee when we got there (well I flasked mine), left for a walk around and met up again at 1 for lunch. Four left for an early train home, and that left two of us to also separate. I got the 2.55 train home, the other lady followed me an hour later. Got the sweets I went for. Triple yum. But so annoying, in that I carried my coat with me the whole time (folded up in a bag) and never once wore it. You can bet, had I left it at home, would have needed one.

Collected the dog at 5, once I’d had a cuppa.

I hope to rest my poorly body today, so after the dog walk, a little tidy up (the laundry still hanging on airers), sort out the meals for today, and check the milk situation, I plan on going back to bed with my book.

Just been and had 3rd covid jab this afternoon. quiet a queue waiting which was impressive.

Good morning all, still dark and cold outside.
Not going out today.
Having Hair cut at 9am, then in the afternoon having new Bedroom Suite delivered by Wayfair Furniture, so this morning will have to empty all my drawers out from the old suite and both of us try and get the old suite downstairs and into the Garage and store it there until tomorrow when the British Heart Foundation are picking it up.

Have a nice day all.

God morning all.
Blue sky, sun shining, but very cold northerly wind. I did not legalise until I went out how cold it was.
I have got my chicken, carrots, onion, and other bits in it cooking. I am doing it now as the Hatton garden outing is on for this afternoon.
Going to meet my daughter at 12 at the station.

Good morning all, bright and cold here but a sunny day ahead I reckon… :sunglasses:

Walked the dogs now, so just warming back up with a steaming cappucino before tackling a couple of small jobs in the garage, with just a re-heated moussaka then for lunch out of the freezer.

Blimey Susie watch that back of yours, moving big furniture really isn’t recommended as a treatment for your condition!

Have a pleasant day folks

Morning all.

Barry, I am gasping at Susie’s plans, too!! Not advised.

I will be sorting out my chest freezer, seeing if there is a stray pint of milk down in the depths, and look for main meal inspiration. A trip to Tesco’s will either be today or tomorrow, as I need to stock up on their cereal.

Enjoy your day.

Like the sound of Emjay’s meal. Yum.

Good morning

I have got a very sore arm today after that third covid jab,but rather that than collapsed lungs and on oxyen in hospital. After cutting down a tree my next neighbour wanted down a couple of days ago I don’t feel up to starting the chain saw just yet, anyway he has gone to his other house for a couple of days. I don’t think his wife will be too happy if I did without him saying how he wants it chopped up.

Strange noise from behind me, oh it is Teazle on the red blanket snoring away bless her,she loves being with me in this room

That is for 2 meals Jan as there is 4 chicken thighs in it. I serve it out into 2 bowls and when cool it goes in the fridge.
I will have one this evening and the other maybe for lunch Saturday.

RS, after Saturday’s booster I had a lot of bed rest, but that was also because of my fall last Wednesday. I too had a sore arm, but no bad adverse effects, as a lot of people reported.

Emjay, yes, I freeze extra portions of casseroles.
