Cleaning lady hopefully is coming this morning.
I am trying to get my DVD player to work, as I acquired a box set of DVDs at the AgeUK yesterday for a small donation. I know I am doing something wrong, well I ain’t used it for ages.

I will be going to the church hall quiz, that I’ve missed for a few months, what with one thing or another, and being collected at 9.40. (10-12).
Might find out today if getting an invite to Christmas dinner but I have no idea if there will be anyone to take me, so it might be left unsaid.
Home to walk Holly and put a fish pie in the oven for lunch. Later will distribute cards to neighbours, and post off the rest in the morning when I get into town for all my stamps.
That community cafe I go to each Monday afternoon is having a session on Christmas Day, between 11-3, so if I am on my own and fancy talking to someone, I can always pop down for a cuppa and sausage roll. It will be easy as I know the people who volunteer there now.

Just done my stroll and the fields are muddy. I confess to stealing some of the ground there as I have to clean my boots when I get back, and put the stolen soil into a pot. I might plant something in it later.

Usual Friday I expect. Lunch at Morrison and dinner at my daughter’s.

Yes Susie, I will. I need to find my thick combined hat and scarf for dog walks, as I’m always having to hold the coat hood up with a free hand. It ties up tight at the neck and the scarf bits cover the chest. No idea where it is right now.

I don’t think this is going out weather that I have here. But I bet that my daughter will drag me out somewhere.
I have a squirrel that I hate. It is damaging the bird feeders getting to the seed. It’s bad enough with some of the pidgins that don’t let the smaller birds get a look in.
I did get some parakeets on it the other day.
Emjay, you are right about it being ‘staying in’ weather, which is what I wish I’d done. Had to text Susie to say my bus was running late but I didn’t know how much I could take, standing in the cold. I did decide to go home after all, having been out in it for half an hour. Long enough to chill me to the bone.
Bus never showed, so could have been dropped from schedule, or running late. Definitely not the weather to find out for sure.
I still need the PO for the US stamps. The 2nd class I can buy from the shop my friend works in, and the post box is outside. Library book return can wait a few days.
Remember seeing parakeets over our Walthamstow allotment, Emjay. Seems there could be several flocks in the area.
Oh, a friend here also has a squirrel she wants to catch. She has been going on about it for weeks, lol!

I have had 2 fence panels blown out from my fence. I shall not be repairing them, so it has already been arranged for my grandson will pick some up and replace then for me.
No intention of going out anywhere today.
As for the parakeets flocks, I did hear that there was a cull of them. For a while there were not so many, but it would seen that the numbers have increased again.
