Chit Chat Thread (Part 2)

Morning all.

Ooh, did I forget to pop in here yesterday? Apologies.

Anyways, today’s plans are getting a stuffed Turkey breast joint from the freezer, and doing a roast meal at some point. Then I will portion and refreeze the cooked meat. I have two joints in there, an Aldi (for today) and one from Tesco, which I will do Boxing Day. I think they are both seasonal. I might even pinch a few of the Christmas pigs in blankets…

I was bored yesterday early evening, so switched the telly off and turned my attention to the kitchen worktop, which I cleared and tidied. I’d been watching some of those video clips on FB which give space saving hacks. Unfortunately the items are mostly sold abroad, (a stick on kitchen roll holder for underneath the cupboard, for instance) but they can give valuable ideas.

Have a good Sunday.

Good morning all, raining here.
Nothing planned for the day, apart from watching TV.
Last night I watched Hank Marvin for 4 hrs.
Coco is back to normal now, Barry Coco is an Indoor cat, so doesn’t eat anything outside.
Janet i’m surprised you can’t get an Kitchen Towel Holder, I have one.
Have a nice day all.

Good morning all from me.
Breakfast eaten, Minnie been taken around the fields. I did a blood sugar test first thing this morning, the prick the finger thing. 5.2. Now that ain’t bad. Why did I do it, because I had some really naughty cakes yesterday. There is yet another cake shop that has opened (up the mount), had to get some as they were really cheap.
Today… don’t know yet. I expect I will have a veggie and chicken :poultry_leg: dinner later.

Morning everyone, mild and dry here, we’ve walked the dogs so nothing else planned other than the armistice.

Have a pleasant Sunday folks

Susie, I have a roll holder which has to sit on the window sill. I don’t have anywhere else to put it, out of the way. No sides of cupboards available.

Half hour left for the Turkey to cook, but Holly wants something. Not another outing, surely? If so, I guess it will have to go on the timer, or let her wait. I’m still tidying up/putting things away. (By which I mean taking them up into the spare bedroom and shutting the door on the mess, lol.)

Good morning all, its dry outside at the moment.
At long last got the Conservatory Men coming sometime this morning, hope its correct this time. Then at 4.30pm got to go to the Hospital for my Spinal Injection.

Changed my Phone/Broadband over to Sky, they did it in the middle of the night, all I had to do this morning was plug the routa in, and all went smoothly.

Have a nice day all.

Morning Susie, good to hear your change over went well and good luck with the spinal injection this evening. Hope the conservatory build goes well too, they can be a great addition to the house…

Morning all, mild and dry here, and long may it continue…

Nothing much planned, just a pottering sort of day and I’ll be cooking pie and mash for lunch.

Enjoy your day everyone

Good morning all.
It is also dry here at the moment, but very overcast. The BBC forecast is dry. Yea right.
I think I shall be going on the group walk this morning, and hope my knee can take it. I shall also drop off my subscriptions to the chemist.
My grandson is coming here after work to help me recover one of my sheds roof.

Barry we already have a conservatory, but it was worn out and needed a new one, they came this morning and have pulled the old one down and covered it up for the night, tomorrow they will be back to put up the new one with a solid roof, so that we can make it another room to sit in.

Saw their van outside her house as the bus went past on my way home.

I bought loads of books!! Now need to find a home for them.

Collecting Holly shortly and will walk her for a bit.

Good morning all.

Just resting today after those Injections, both my arms ache now as well.

Making Chicken Curry and Rice today for dinner.

Conservatory Men will be here at 9am.

Have a nice day all.

Good morning all.
Sunny blue sky and early ground mist.
I feel so lucky that I have the fields to myself this early…
Yesterday I went on the group walk. I did a total of 5.2 miles. Yes every joint from my waist down aches.
I shall be going to Sainsbury’s a bit later for my weekly shop.

Good morning peeps, mild and misty here first thing, a perfect autumn morning.

Dogs have had a good walk and we are just having a brew before heading off to Derby to meet with relatives in the pub for lunch.

Enjoy your day folks

Morning all.

A pain filled night for me (hips, then buttocks when I tried to lie on my back for a bit, to relieve the hips). Got up late, so made my excuses to the coffee group. I’m skiving off (for the first time ever).

Got the tumble going from one lot of washing, and will get the WM going again shortly.

Need to take my bag of new books upstairs and find a home for them.

Shall rummage in the freezer for today’s main meal. Maybe I should have sorted that out yesterday when I was digging deep for the peas, lol.

Enjoy your day.

God, all you can hear are the Builders, shouting, laughing, swearing, mucking about, there are four of them doing the job.

You really need to have a word with their boss Susie, some workmen have no sense of place or manners when working on private homes, in fact sometimes they are no better than children… :rage:

Good morning all, we were up most of the night with out Cat Coco, she is not very well, I suppose its her age now, the Vet said to leave her for another 24 hrs if no improvement then to bring her in.

Another day with the Workmen ahead of me.

Have a nice day all.

Morning all.

Barry, I am currently sitting by my bedroom window (which I sometimes do when I wake up, with a cuppa and tablets) and witnessed something that my brain cannot erase. A youngish workman, working in house opposite, greeting a colleague, and clearing his throat, twice, in the gutter. Filthy bar steward. :face_vomiting:

Hope Coco will be ok.

In the cafe for me today, meeting my house seller, for a chat and catch up. No other plans, apart from folding up and putting away all of yesterday’s laundry.

Morning everyone, a little cooler her first thing but still calm and dry so no complaints.

Had our walk earlier and nothing else planned for the day, but no doubt something will turn up.

Sorry to hear Coco’s not well again Susie, hope she feels better before too long.

Have yourselves a pleasant day folks

Good morning all
It would seem you lot are having all the fun. Me? Boring.
At least the sun is shining but it is not warm out yet. Enjoyed my walk around the fields, but I could hear a occasional crashing sound. It was from the roof of one of the houses at the far end of the field where they are removing the slates and chucking them into a skip.
Nothing yet planed for today, I think I just might try and finish the book that I have been reading on my kindle.
