Chit Chat Thread (Part 2)

Good morning all, its raining outside.
Our Electrician has just turned up at 6.40am to do some jobs for us, he will be here for about 1 hr.
Have a nice day all.

Does anyone know why all of a sudden I can’t get on any of my forums except this one? they seem to have all disappeared, I have tried typing them in and still they won’t come up. Don’t know what else to do.

Morning all.

Seems I forgot to pop in yesterday.

Susie, I managed them ok. Wondered where you were.

Good morning all.
Cold and dry out at the moment.
I still have to get to the chemist to try and get some of my meds that I am running out of. They told me yesterday when I went there that the holdup is at the surgery as they have not processed the paperwork. It would seem that this surgery is not very popular lately. On local Facebook pages there are other people complaining about it.
Nothing else planed for today, so will just let it happen.

Good morning all.
It is a cold and frosty morning here. But in the NW corner of the field there is what I call a sun trap. It’s just nice to stand there for a few moments and feel the warmth of the sun.
I still have to go chase up the chemist for my meds. I did not go yesterday as I said I would, changed my mind.
Apart from that nothing else planed for today so will just let it happen.

Morning all.

Susie is offline again, waiting for the provider outage to be resolved.

I might rush out to Morrisons soon for some copies of our local weekly paper. They are running a pet of the year contest and Holly is in there! I chose a photo of her with her cute pose, half in half out of her bed. Going to buy a few copies in case someone somewhere wants to see. (And maybe vote for her.)

Morning both, sunny here now after a frosty start so quite pleasant

Been out for my booster today so nothing planned in case I get any after effects, although that would be unusual for me

Enjoy your day folks

Morning folks.

Holly was very good whilst the fireworks were going on, except for one sudden loud bang shortly after we left the house. That did surprise her.

I have my flu jab today, then afterwards will go on to my little sis. I know I saw her Thursday, but there is a reason, lol. And my nephew might be there to say hello to. Time permitting, I could also pop in to Aldi on the way home, see what bargains they have.

Lowestoft is still suffering internet problems, with the fault now rumoured to be lying with Open Reach, as various Next Door members say they are with different internet suppliers. It is unlikely we will see Susie back on here for a day or two, if other reports are to be believed. I will give her a call this morning, and update her. She is fed up with no internet. I think I would be too.

Good morning all.
Looks like it could rain later, as the heavy clouds are approaching from the west.
As usual for Saturday, laundry day. Second wash on and first in the dryer.
There did not seem to be many fireworks last evening, I am wonder if people are saving them for tonight. Minnie was not bothered by the few that went off.
Nothing else planed for today so I will just let it happen.

Morning all, mild and dry here with chance of showers later they say

Lots of fireworks here last night but they don’t bother the dogs much so aren’t a problem so much as the smoke from the fires, we just have to make sure all the windows are closed.

No plans for me yet either, so I may find an odd job or two outside this morning then do a jigsaw this afternoon

Enjoy your day everyone

I’m back on-line again.

Good morning all, lovely and sunny here.
Not going out today.
Having Duck for dinner today.
Have a nice day all.

Morning Susie and everyone else later.

Just back from our morning walk and contemplating the day over a cuppa. Nothing decided yet but there is always weeding to do in the veg plot, it never ceases to amaze me how those weeds keep growing through the winter when anything useful dies

Just soup and a roll for lunch today which is nice in the winter

Enjoy your day folks :blush:5

Morning all.

Just finishing breakfast, cuppa n tablets, then will walk the dog.

W/m going, with latest change of bed linen. I only washed the last lot a few days ago, as I forgot, so catching up.

I was out yesterday, getting my flu jab, popping to see sister and then on to Aldi, so will be a stay at home day, with the dog.

Will do a roast meal (frozen spuds n parsnips, and pork slices) for lunch. Easy, and yet still tasty.

Then later will finish the latest library book, just a few pages remaining, and start the remaining one.

Isn’t (retired) life grand?

Good morning all.
Also weather is nice here at the moment.
Collected a few rocket sticks from the field. Handy for holding up plants and things.
Lunch today will be yet another lamb shank with steamed veg and hot air roast potatoes.
Chore for this morning, clean wet room and toilet area.
Later watch more episodes of Homeland.

Good morning all.
Off out at 7.45am to do our weekly shopping.
Have a nice day all.

Morning folks.

A good idea, Emjay. My allotment friend tells me that the cost of their garden canes has shot up! They order in bulk for their onsite trading shed.

I do hope the fireworks have stopped now. Holly is incredibly unfazed by them, but they do go on a bit.

I will go to the library some time this morning, unsure whether to do 30m free parking and not hang about, or pay for 2hrs, but linger. I could do with getting more milk, so reckon on the 2hrs then.

Good morning all.
A bit late this morning, but it doesn’t matter because I can be.
Like everywhere, cold but bright.
I was thinking of going on the Monday group walk, but my left knee is painful.
I managed to do the walk with Minnie around the fields.
A bit of easy housework for me then this morning.

Wilkos Canes are very cheap, that’s where we normally get ours from.

The trading shed buys various lengths of canes, which are delivered, with the rest of the order, by lorry, so making it convenient for plot holders to buy and take straight to their plot, without struggling to transport by car. I believe they supplied 4, 6, 8 and 10’, but not sure.
