A cool wind again here but no matter as we aren’t going out with the dogs as Oscar has hurt is leg and is on bed rest for a few days. A trip to the tip is all that I have planned but no doubt something else will turn up as the day progresses.

For me today, it might be a bit of rearranging stuff in the back bedroom (well, the boiler room).
Thanks @Jazzi , he’s just sprained his back right leg as he leapt over the patio steps, (which he’s been doing for years BTW), so I guess it must just be an age thing now and he must learn to slow down like we all have to eventually. Anyway the vet says he’s OK and not broken anything so no worries really and he’s just on enforced rest and pain meds.
Hope Oscar will be ok.
Thanks Susie he’ll be fine, just needs to put his feet up for a day or two if that’s possible, he’s such a live wire usually…

Like us humans, animals also get old. I don’t think they realise that they cannot do the things that they used to do. I keep telling Minnie that.

Sunday morning and all quiet at the moment, until the noisemakers footballers arrive. The main problem is that the car park only has 16 places, so the rest have to find somewhere else to park. There are a total of 5 pitches on both fields, but fortunately not all used at the same time. When the traffic warden comes, he has a field day. Cars parking with wheels on the pavement, over drives. Etc.
Lamb shank for lunch or dinner, whatever you call it on a Sunday.

@Barry, just another word on the tablet v ipad debate. Having tried to get on with my new Samsung Galaxy tablet, bought a few weeks ago, I realise how much I prefer the display on the iPad. The forums, for instance.
Yes Jan. it is the iPads for me as well. (I have 2). Not touched my other tablets or the PC for ages. iPhone is also useful.

On the Samsung the text is small and I have tried enlarging it in Settings. Then you have to zoom the page so I think, ah…let’s use the iPad! It is so much easier on the eye, IMO.
Did anyone else (apart from Susie, have seen her photo) get that brilliant sunset last night? Members of our local FB page put up some wonderful photos, showing it in all its fiery red glory. I will try to transfer mine onto her from my phone, seeing as I have the app.
Shopping for me too later this morning.

Morning all, just back from walking the hounds, the first time in days now as Oscar has recovered from his leg sprain and is looking like his old self again.
Just have the snapshot comp poll to sort out this morning then this afternoon I’ll have a trip to the tip with some old bedroom furniture that we’ve replaced.
I suppose it’s just what you get used to with the tablets Jan, and as for text size I’ve never had a problem, in fact it looks just the same as on Rosemary’s iPad but hey, you pays your money and you takes your choice…

Just catching a cuppa now before attempting to make some bread, I have cooked many things over the years but never had much luck with bread, so here’s hoping I get it right this time…

Just back from Sainsbury’s. Not very busy in there this early.
There were no tills open so had to go on the do it myself checkout.
Got to go out again soon to the post office to send a small parcel.
Weather here is also mild and perspiring quite freely from the rushing around.
Barry. Get yourself a bread maker. Saves all the hassle, and very little mess.
We used to have one Emjay but we enjoyed the bread that much we put on loads of weight, so now it’s just the occasional treat and besides, I do like to try to do things the traditional way if I can…
