Call from Nissan late afternoon, telling me car is all done, mot as well. Sis will take me in the morning, as I’m unsure of the one way system to get out of GtvYarmouth.
She works there so knows the roads. I’ll follow her to the A47.
Morning all.
Still windy out, but dry at least.
Morning all.
Great news Janet, you have your car back.
Off into Gorleston this morning.
Have a nice day all.
Good morning all.
No excuse today for not going out for my early walk around the fields.
Done that.
Off shortly to the AgeUK Wednesday coffee (tea for me) and chat.
My daughter is busy with all the paper work and the funeral arrangements. It is on the 21st of February. Same date that my wife died.
Good morning everybody.
I’m meeting my friend Chris today - just for lunch & a browse round the shops.
Neither of us feel like walking today.
Tony will be out with Ady exploring the Peak District.
I won’t be doing much else.
Enjoy your day everyone…
Well not yet, Susie. I need to see how it drives first. Any sign of the recent problem and I’ll be straight back.
Back with car, drives nicely and was good to give it a good run. We stopped off at Tescos, then across the road to McD for an early lunch.
Booked Holly’s booster for Friday, next job will be to get the car serviced. A good few advisories I need to get done.
And tomorrow you have the Gate man coming for a quote, don’t forget to mention us.
I said to him on the phone you were pleased with the work but will see if he remembers you.
Morning all.
Lots of driving about today.
First up, expecting the carpenter near 10am for new gate quote.
Shopping, lunch out in Morrisons maybe, then seeing to sister’s cats. Texted her at 7.30, she’d had bloods done, but dr not there yet. I said at least they’ve started with you.
I had a full night’s sleep, which is most unheard of. Woke up at 6, toilet, then back to sleep till 7,30. Nice.
Good morning all.
It has started to rain here, just as I was doing my walk.
I was comparing milage with the bloke that does the white lines for the football pitches. He has 5 pitches to do every time he comes. There are normally two of them, but he is on his own today.
Cleaning lady comes this morning.
I must phone my GP to organise an injection in my right knee, as it is starting to give me grief at times.
Morning all.
Popping into town this morning and its now drizzling of rain.
Have a nice day all.
I am devastated to report that my little sister passed away earlier today. Her heart had problems when the renal clinic put in her dialysis line and she was transferred to ITU.
My niece phoned me to say they’d been called and wouldn’t say more on the phone, and she then called a couple of hours later to say she had gone before niece could get there.
It was so hard later telling our older siblings.
Please, no mention on FB, those that know me on there. Thank you.
Flipping hell Janet my deepest sympathies to you all. What a terrible shock.
Thanks Kazz. Maybe I’ll know more in a day or so when her four children have come to terms with it. Sis did have a history of a bad heart and I can only presume that with the kidney only having 8% function now, it all got too much. I had thoughts that maybe she’d had a panic attack with the line going in (she was very nervous), or even a heart attack. Then I thought, oh heck, does this mean long ongoing care? I never thought this would be the outcome.
She and all of us knew of the risks with dialysis, putting the line in or having a transplant.
She would have been 70 in a few weeks,
That’s horrible news Jazzi. I’m so sorry for you and your family.
Not the news we were all expecting.
Same here! We and she knew it was a huge risk going for dialysis now, but as my cousin said when I phoned her, sister didn’t have any options. To be without dialysis or a new kidney would have been fatal for her anyway. We just didn’t expect her to go this way.
I have walked the dog, cancelled my plan for the morning (to see a friend), as my niece and family will be at the house from tonight, for a few days, so I can call round to see them. I want massive hugs from them. My older nephew also will ring me. We tried just now but he was driving home through a bad signal. Bless him, he had sent me a text asking if I was ok. Even in his grief he thought of his auntie.
What shocking news for you and your family, Jazzi.
My deepest sympathy to you all… (hugs)
