Sorry to hear about your sister, I bet she was so disappointed. I hope another kidney becomes available soon…xx
Good morning all, off into Town this morning, stroll around the shops, see what I can buy.
Have a nice day all.
Morning.
I would have joined you, Susie, but not wanting to be out in the cold any more than I need to. Maybe when I have the car back and don’t have to wait for buses. I don’t need anything yet.
So will potter about indoors, fold up yesterday’s washing, and think what to do for main meal. I am trying to run down fridge freezer contents, especially as I can’t do large shops yet.
Good morning all.
So yesterday evening after a long drive to this pub called the Woodsman in the Essex country side, it was quite old.
I had fish and chips. Cor! The cod was enormous as were the amount of chips.
I could not eat all that. So the others shared them.
I don’t know what plans they have for me today. Not more dining out I hope.
I did look in the Library Janet, to see if you were in there, no tea or coffee going as they had loads of children in there, didn’t see you though, so came home.
Susie, the tea and coffee is only out on Mondays and Fridays. Just back from second dog walk and am frozen.
Morning all.
Well I am still cold, only just put the CH on but did have a portable oil heater on beside my bed in the night. But at least outside temperatures are supposed to be better. Up until yesterday dog walks were still a horrible experience.
Cooking a roast for lunch today.
Finished the library book I collected a few days ago (that was on reserve), Simon Kernick, and can now go back to his one before that, I am reading. My own hardback. Or I have a paperback I’m in the middle of. Will bus to the library tomorrow, return their book, and may as well get myself a free coffee in there!
Good morning all.
Last night it was very windy and cold, then my next door neighbours had music on very late that disturbed me. It suppose to be double figures today but at the moment its only 6c.
Have a nice day all.
Susie, surprised to hear that about your neighbours. Not heard you mention any disturbances before.
Good morning all.
Just back from a walk around the block. No field at the moment as I don’t need any more mud from it.
I was overloaded with presents yesterday. Very nice but did I need another outdoors coat.
Socks, pants, a multi tool, a very good recipe book for air friers.
Happy Birthday for yesterday Emjay, hope all went well…
Morning all, rained and windy last night.
Off out now to do our weekly shopping.
Janet, don’t normally have problems with them, but he is a deaf and he puts the volumne up on the TV.
Have a nice day all.
Good morning all.
No serious wind damage here, just a few bits in the garden got blown about.
I did a walk around the field just now. You never know what you can find when we get these winds.
Off to Sainsburys shortly when the bread is done.
This afternoon it is tea, cheesecake, and a natter and talk about other people at hers down the road.
Morning all.
Made a bread from a packet and that is now in the mini oven. Still got some washing up to do, but just had breakfast and watching Classic Doctors. Dog walk done.
Too cold and windy for me to go out for bread.
Morning all.
I have someone calling round at 9, to quote for a garden gate. Hope he turns up! Reliability is thin on the ground here.
Cafe meet as usual, then I don’t have any plans.
My bread was rather delicious. Just had a few slices with spread, as it was, for supper. Will probs have it toasted as the days go on. As for main meal, just remembered I have two portions of bolog sauce in freezer. Taken one out which will go nice with the new bread on the side, for wiping up sauce. Oh yum. Might not defrost till tea time, so could have something in the cafe, like sausage or bacon bap.
Good morning all.
It has just started to rain here. So no walk this morning, but will do a bit on the exercise bike.
Yet another funeral coming up. My daughter’s mum in law went yesterday. She had been in a home for a while.
Off later with my daughter to Sainsburys. I don’t need anything, but it is a bit of an outing for me.
Sorry to her about the lady’s passing, Emjay.
Chip has been to quote for gate and fittings. He reckons about £350.
That sounds about right Janet, is that made to measure, ours was.
Yes. No paint or staining but inc fixings. I said I want a Yale lock or something similar. Bolts top and bottom. He did the measurements before calling me out.
Good morning all
Cold wet and windy here so no need to venture out therefore I am not - weird for me as I am usually off somewhere. Plan on doing simply nothing really, roast duck breast in plum sauce, mash and spinnach for dinner later, have had boiled eggs and toast for breakfast so a relaxing day intended.
@Emjay sorry to hear of the lady’s passing my thoughts are with you all.
@Jazzi Janet that sounds about right price wise I would consider asking him to stain or paint before adding the fitments but easy to do afterwards at your lesiure.
