Chit Chat Thread (Part 2)

Good morning all.
Blue sky and sunshine. But I was not fooled as it is cold and frosty out. At least there is no mud on the field, just frozen and crunchy ground.
My cleaning lady come this morning, and that could be the excitement of the day,

Ooops, spoke too soon! Hoovering has hurt my aching back and shoulder blades so taken some pain killers.

Clothes wash hanging up, back room window open for now for air flow.

An easy lunch, the rest of yesterdayā€™s lasagne and McCain fries.

Will do my spend diary for yesterday then maybe soon it will be time for Hollyā€™s second walk, and then tv and book. Started a Simon Kernick, my own hardback.

Morning all.

Any frost where you live Emjay?

Janet sorry to hear you have hurt your shoulders.

Decorator coming today about 2.30pm.

Have a nice day all.

Good morning all.
There was frost yesterday Susie, but not this morning. In fact it feels a little bit warmer. Maybe because there is no wind.
I have not been out for my morning stroll yet but will go soon. I will wait until the bread that is being made is finished.
Later this afternoon I have got to go to my daughters and turn on their heating, as she will hopefully be getting home in the early hours of tomorrow morning.

Morning all.

Susie, not feeling so bad today thanks. Iā€™m more worried about my sister. She sent me a photo of her face yesterday, following her minor head surgery a few days ago. She now has a massive bruise under the eye! She saw her nurse yesterday for other things and who then brought the doctor in to see sis. They prescribed some strong medication.

I phoned her when I saw the photo. She said her manager is popping round to see her today. I said at least you have visible proof.

Iā€™m going into town this morning. Drop a library book off, and get some milk from somewhere.

Good morning all, dry outside.

Off int town this morning, stroll around the shops, see if there are any bargins.

Janet, sorry to here about your Sister.

Have a nice day all.

Good morning all.
Not a lot going on here, Just the usual Saturday morning. As usual laundry day for me and that is going well.
My daughter is home to this freezing weather. Although I went there yesterday afternoon to turn the heating on, it seems that there was a fault and did not come on.
When she phoned me a while ago, the boiler man was there sorting it out.
I have not done a walk yet, but will do it shortly.

Morning all.

Emjay, sorry to hear your Dā€™s boiler broke down. Hope itā€™s soon fixed. Not nice coming home to a cold house.

It is flipping cold out today again. I had thought about braving the bus to Tescos but sis wants to pop round here lunchtime so maybe her face (eye) has improved. She said sheā€™d be ok. So my plans are scuppered.

Thanks Susie.

Good afternoon everybody.

I was up quite early to get ready to go to my colostomy group meeting.
Iā€™m so glad I went. There was about 2 dozen people there - some my age & some younger.

A stoma nurse from one of the big companies came & she was giving advice & answering questions.

After that we had a quizz & I teamed up with the chap sitting next to me. We came almost bottom with 8/20 but I did know an answer that nobody else did - What is the smallest country in the world?

Then we had a raffle & I won two prizes.

I got talking to a lovely lady called Mary. She was 77 yrs old & very attractive, nice hair & make up - very feminine. Sheā€™s had a stoma for 2 years. Sheā€™s recently got herself a new man friend and she wears a lacy belt over her stoma bag when she goes to bed. I thought that was so lovely.

I met a chap called Rob who was on the committee & he joined me up with their WhatsApp group so now I have understanding friends at the touch of my fingertips.

Iā€™m feeling very optimistic today but unfortunately still coughing!!

Have a good day allā€¦

Sounds great news Carol, and encouraging. I hope all this helps you. Wishing you well. Will there be more meetings?

Thanks Janet - yes I really enjoyed it.

They meet once a month & are also planning for us all to go out for a meal in March.

I was chatting to a committee member & I suggested they do a few other ā€˜outsideā€™ activities such as a walking group - it could just be a short one.

He seemed interested in the idea - we shall have to wait & seeā€¦

Good morning all.

Nothing planned for the day.

Have a nice day all.

Good morning all.
Quite late this morning but I had things to do. Even been up a ladder to reposition my front door camera.
I have been for a walk around the field and it was not so muddy.
I shall attempt to make some baked potatoes in the air frier later.
I have found a new word on here, that I shall look up later?

Good morning everybody.

Itā€™s a lovely bright sunny day here. I plan to get the car cleaned inside & out today & then have a browse round Iceland. Itā€™s not a shop I go in much but have heard they have some good things.

This afternoon we will settle down on the settee & watch a film.
I have a pre cooked lamb dinner from the other day so no cooking for me today.

Have a good day allā€¦

Good afternoon all

Not done anything bar get up shower have boiled eggs, toast and coffee now lstenign to the radio and on here.

Lunch roasting nicely and I plan to do nothing else today either. Although I have earmarked which plantS need to come out in the garden or repostioned in the Spring the removed ones will be donated to volunteer gardening group (I belong to sort of) and plan on trimming back a few evergreens. I am on holiday next week so that is my plan weather somewhat dependant and of course my inclination. LOL

Good morning all, was up at 6am, its a little bit of frost on the cars.
Off to do our weekly shopping now, then come back and wait in for the decorator.

Good luck this morning Janet at the Hospital.

Have a nice day all.

Good morning all.
It is also frosty here with blue cloudless sky.
The sun is not up yet, I expect it is having a lay in.
Also off to Sainsburyā€™s shortly.
I have not done my morning walk, but will do it later.
