Still a cold wind here, Emjay. So this one here has no plans for going out. A roast beef meal for lunch.
Will be dashing off about 8.45 tomorrow morning to drop the car off at the garage and hope to spend half hour maybe on Ancestry in the library, before I catch the 9.50 bus home. There is somebody I need to research further, whether he is an ancestor of mine. He was convicted to 15 years imprisonment after committing robbery with violence, and was packed off to Perth, Australia. (Sorry Bruce). Problem is I canāt find an accurate birth date for his name. I found his details on somebody elseās tree details.

As one would expect, I woke up late this morning thanks to the noisy fireworks 
that seemed to go on forever.
Not breaking any habits, I did my walk around the cold and muddy field.
I am stealing their mud and when I scrape it off my boots, I am putting it into a pot.maybe I could grow something in it.
Nothing really planed, but must try and finish a story on my Kindle.

Tony has had a cold all week, I guess Iām catching it now.
I told him weād go his favourite walk at Crich in Derbyshire so Iād better get my skates on & start moving.

Morning all.
Up with the alarm, albeit reluctantly. Will walk Holly soon. It was raining last night and there was no way I was going out in it, so let her in the garden before bed.
Decided not to waste time in the library, as using the Ancestry site would be too addictive for a morning in which I have no time, so will go off and get milk and bread, which I do need. Then home for my weekly cafe meet. It has been closed for the Christmas break so been a fortnight.

I was also up early and plan to go to Sainsburys very soon. It is also still raining, so no morning stroll for me.
Maybe I shall go up and down the isles in Sainsburys a few times, that should put some mileage on the health app on my phone.

Going to hang washing up then decide where to go for some shopping.
Yes, strong gusts yesterday afternoon and evening. Walked down to allotment today. A couple of trees which had ivy growing up had been pulled down. The ivy must act live a sail to the wind. Roof of shed had lifted a little as not enough nails in one side. So banged some new ones in - not a big problem. Will be laying some new roofing felt so this should make it more sturdy. Ground still fairly firm underfoot except where forked over. Garlic shoots appearing more consistently now. Planning where to put things as time can now move along quickly.

Plans for today. Get the bin out for collection, walk the dog, have breakfast, catch the bus into town from 10.25, card shop first, then fetch the car home from the garage, to await 18th January and the tow truck to Nissan. Exciting times!
Might try and walk to the retail park in a day or so, depending on the weather.

Washing machine is on and the new smart meter is annoying me by whizzing round.
