Funny weather here in Kent! Had a very heavy shower for no more than ten minutes or quarter of an hour. May have been lightning as well. It washed all the moss off the garage roof into the gutter thus pulling two screws out of one of the brackets. So had to quickly put new screws in when rain stopped and clear out the guttering. Seems to have fixed the problem thankfully

Pond cleaning that I shall start doing shortly. I have my daughter, grandson, and his girlfriend coming to help.
Later we will all be going out to the local carvery.

Some fireworks going on last night but Holly wasnât bothered in the slightest. Went for our walk a little earlier as I guessed she needed to toilet. Back home I watched Payback before going to bed.
Breakfast just finishing, then a little later I will go to the retail park. Need bread, milk and other bits. A light meal today, ie not a roast, as going to carvery tomorrow with sis, using the Groupon voucher. Emjay, if you are going to Toby, can not someone in your family sign up for it? Two courses for 19.99. Think it covers two adults and several young children, but sure you can order more vouchers,

Iâm up bright & early after a restless night.
Iâve got my ironing lady coming to collect a pile of ironing in half an hour.
I think I may go back to bed when sheâs been.
Itâs a lovely sunny morning. At some point weâll be going a walk round the park. I find Iâm able to walk a bit further than when we first started so getting there I suppose.

Good morning all.
Well I did get to clean out the pond yesterday, the help that was supposed to come, came late, after I had emptied most of the water and removed the fish.
They had a few dramas of their own. A group of car stealers, tried to get my SILs truck. They got into it, But run off when my grandson shouted out of the window. They could not get it as it was wedged between other vehicles. They did cause a bit of damage to the truck, wall, and my daughters car.
Off to Sainsburys shortly for a few things.

Still seems fairly cold out there, though. I might chance going to the allotment later, assess if any damage from recent storms. I havenât set foot on there in weeks! I have also come to a decision about its future and will step away after another year or so. In that case, there will be no shed or any other heavy expense, I will stick with what I have. The money I have already set aside can pay for gardeners to do some work, like hacking away at the Russian vine, or doing some digging for me.
Yes itâs true I wanted it for a quiet sanctuary but maybe I need something smaller, so will check in with the reps in a few years time. Unless I manage to find a co worker.
Maybe my NfH will move away or I find somewhere else to escape to when they get noisy in the warmer weather. PffffttâŠ
Wondering if my friend will still be at the cafe this morning, the one with the sick dog. I donât know how he is or whether she has another vet appt.

I expect I shall go to Sainsburys with my daughter later. I donât need anything. I have got her to use the âsmart checkoutâ device.
She realises how quick it can be especially when we went on Saturday and the long queues at the staff checkouts.
Blue sky here, but feeling cold. Lots of Canada geese on the field again this morning.
Emjay, where is that building work, behind the green netting? Is it still the one on the corner of the main road, opposite Morrisons?
No. It is on the old Stadium site. They are again (2nd time) replacing the cladding on the building.
The one on the corner of Highams station ave opposite Morrisons entrance by the traffic lights, is still as it was.

Itâs a lovely bright morning here.
Iâm managing to walk a bit further each day & today I plan to go as far as the local co-op to pick up a few bits & pieces.
The stoma nurse is coming to see me this afternoon.
I had a worrying letter from the hospital this morning. They want me to go back in to have a camera inside my stoma to examine a polyp. Just when I thought I was over the worst!

I know the Homebase building works have ceased, company in administration.
You sometimes donât need to spend a great deal of money on things like this.
Both sheds on our plot were acquisitions from someone who was replacing theirs and looking to scrap them. You might also find that a couple or three burly chaps will walk it over to your plot to show off their masculinity, if you find one. Is your site fairly friendly? Most gardeners seem to be or perhaps the reps can help!
