Me too Susie, sitting right by the bedroom radiator for a short while. Going downstairs in a minute.
Just saying, it’s 2 years today (well, 16th Oct 2019) that Holly and I made the move here to Suffolk from London, and I don’t regret it one bit. As she has also made lots of fans I don’t think she does either. Not that I have fans, you understand.
Morning everyone, cool here and really autumnlike in the forest earlier now that all the chestnuts and leaves are dropping.
A couple of jobs do do outside later and some pottering around to do in the garden if it’s decent, but no pressure to do anything really, so I might do that instead…
Good morning all.
Dull and looking like rain later.
Just put the second load into the washer, first lot in the dryer.
So still going on about phone batteries, I did my old one (iPhone 6s) first, just incase I did it wrong.
I got the batteries through eBay, I will admit it was a tricky job. After watching a few videos on YouTube, I felt confident to do it. Some of the screws are so small that if one went on the floor, it would be difficult to find. (if this happens I use an old mag mount) A full kit to do the job came with the batteries.
The hardest part was getting the old one out. It is stuck down with double sided tape.
Changing the battery in the iPad, seems more complicated. But as it is bigger it would be not so tricky. Yea right.
First of all, the House was too cold especially in the winter being a very old building and it was a Listed Building so can’t make any changes.
Secondly, the garden was getting too much for us.
Thirdly, they took away the Bus Service and I don’t drive.
Fourthly, didn’t get on with the Neighbours.
No, I loved the Duck and all the Pheasants and Wildlife there.
Emjay, I watched YT clips of people trying to remove the tape from inside phones and it was like watching paint dry! I was mentally trying to pull it out with them! . It has been advised to use a hair dryer to warm up the adhesive. I shall leave my phone in the shop and go out, leaving it to them. How they do it, I won’t know. As I said, I couldn’t find a battery myself on the internet.
I wasted an entire day on the laptop and phone, and ended up transferring files internally onto the SD card. I have now removed that (stored safely in the box that the phone came in) and I might pop out today for a new card.
When I tried transferring files from the iPad (I think the phone ones did ok, putting the card into the laptop), my Cloud backup drive became full, giving me red Xs everywhere! Flipping nuisance! I then had to Google how to stop back up to that, because I sure ain’t paying a £1.99/m charge. I need to either find one of my external hard drives, or buy a new one, and get all photos and vids onto external storage.
I can’t seem to get the outstanding transfer of files onto the laptop as it wants to try the Cloud, or encourages me to get more storage.
Good late morning all.
I am shattered. Had such a bad night with Minnie. Twice she got me up. 2am and then 4am when she was sick on the stairs and hall and kitchen. Of course I had to clear it up and wash the places.
Also my friend stayed over, and that’s all I will say about that.
Yes Jan. removing the tape was the most frustrating thing. If you are lucky it can be got out in one piece. Otherwise it is a pain but can be done with the plastic tool provided.
Chicken and lots of veg for 2 later.
Morning Jan, enjoy your day oh, and good luck with the battery exchange.
Morning all, looking gloomy here now after a clear start with showers for later they say.
No definite plans yet for the day, just see what turns up I guess but hopefully something interesting, otherwise I may have to resort to cleaning the bathroom… eek…
Good morning all, beautiful red sky outside.
Hope Minnie is OK Emjay.
Got a new Conservatory going up as from this morning, going to take them 4 days.
Janet have a good trip to Norwich.
Have a nice day all.
Thanks folks. Trying to encourage Holly to eat some biscuits but she knows we are going out, so won’t. I have packed some and I hope he leaves them out for her.
Good morning all.
Yes Minnie is much better and hope she stays that way. Thanks for your thoughts.
Dull, Misty, and overcast. But not too cold.
Just been out collecting chestnuts from the back of my garden. There is a tree that overhangs from the rear garden. But there does not seem to be many big ones at the moment. I have to wear gloves as they are very spiky.
Not a lot planed for today, but I will have to go to the Morrison chemist to pick up the prescription for the injection that is planed for Thursday at my GP.
Emjay glad that she’s better, it’s worrying when they’re not well.
Are they horse chestnuts? Because they’re not edible, if that’s what you’re collecting them for. or are they for a game?
Good morning all, it was pouring of rain last night, but has stopped now.
Nothing planned for today apart from making a few phone calls and emails.
Have a nice day all.
