I canât make up my mind what the weather is going to do today.
Yesterdayâs venture via bus and a walk to the local market was a failure. Holland and Barret were out of stock of the capsules that I wanted.
My daughter is going to Braintree this morning, so she will try the branch there.
Off later to the Wednesday coffee and chat.
When I get home I must make a bread.

Did some work on the allotment yesterday afternoon and hope to do more today. Lady nearby came on and helped, but if I donât put my foot down she will try and dictate how my plot should look! She wants to reposition the pallet collars (raised beds) I have on there. Problem is I have other stuff growing on spare ground. I said to her, before I left, please donât move anything in my absence, and she did at least reply that she wouldnât. Tut.
The man expected at 4.30 looked around, said heâd do the quote for the shed base, but wasnât all that interested in doing any more work, which is when this lady piped up that she would help me. Oh well, she is hard working and enthusiastic so maybe I should let her, ey?
I pulled up some veg to bring home.

The lady down the road that I take to the Wednesday AgeUK, is trying to get me to play scrabble online. I have never played it. She goes online at 10pm, me, I go to bed at that time. It ainât never going to happen.

I am late this morning. So it seems is everyone else that comes on here.
Weather is ok here, so enough of that.
Now the fish drama of yesterday. I got a phone call from my daughter just as I was having lunch.
She was at her MIL house down the road. MIL is now in a home.
âCome here quicklyâ she said, âand bring some buckets as there is problems with the pondâ. Well the pond that was there, I have seen bigger puddles. There was only 6 fish in it. 5 when I got there, as the big carp had died and the others were gasping.
The pump had failed to do its job and was pumping the water out of the pond. We caught the others, and put them in the buckets, and now they live in my pond.
End of drama of yesterday.

So I am all on my own this weekend as my daughter is away.

I need to get a birthday card for my granddaughter, and also some more fried fish from Iceland.

Already been and done my daughters cat. It was super going there on a very quiet Sunday morning. No traffic.
I have just this evening one to do.
The fish that I adopted are not doing well. I just buried one of the silver ones, and the other 2 silver ones donât look too well.
The gold 2 seem ok at the moment.
I have my friend coming to see me this morning, maybe she will stay for lunch.
Iâm sure the fresh air and exercise will do you good after being ill. Havenât had a roast for ages now. Was able to grow a number of good sized baking potatoes on our plot this year without any holes in but will keep these for later as weather still quite warm down here. Chicken stew with pink fir apples today.

Hoping to do more today. I will have a 150g bag of green manure seeds delivered today (to a shop for me to pick up from), and I have some cleared areas ready for them. They can then stay as so over winter. I will only do a max of 2 hours a day, so Iâm not leaving Holly too long (or being away from a loo, 
)

For me it is Sainsburys shortly for my weekly lot. And also expecting a visit from the lady that used to live in the house opposite, as she is in the area.

Hahaha Emjay, not that bad yet, we decided to go to the beach instead of the cliffs today, because it was too windy up there and there are no railings etc. to hold on to in case you fall.

Took one paracetamol about 1.30, slept in till 6.30, then back to sleep till about 8.15. Nice. Just on my second coffee, having a break from all the washing up, bin has been taken down the alley, and I will shortly take Holly for her first walk.
Cafe meet this morning. Maybe more work on the allotment. Yesterday I went after giving Holly an early dinner so I had more time there. Starting attacking the Russian vine thatâs choking my Holly tree. Not sure how much further I can go with it as there are obstacles in the way, and it goes high. All good fun, lol.
I suppose I could go and apply the green manure seeds that I collected from the local shop yesterday (from Amazon). The sooner they go in the better.
