Who is the photography guru on this site?
Filthy day up here in Edinburgh.
Heating on.
Just been out to top up the feeders.
Note to self wear shoes rather than slippers when doing this, that way my feet will not get very wet and very coldā:smiley:
Good morning all, looks like it might be a nice day.
Eating out today in Gorleston, having Chicken Kebab, Rice and Salad.
Hope you are all well.
Have a nice day all.
Morning all.
Barry, I was referring to the seaside part. Sadly the town centre is losing many shops, with some closing completely or relocating to elsewhere, Gt Yarmouth for instance. There was rumour that Wilko would close too. I do hope not.
Morning everyone, chilly here and maybe a shower later on they sayā¦
My Jeep has gone in for MOT this morning, although itās in pretty good nick and itās low mileage, it is nearly twenty years old now so just hoping Iām not going to get a big bill for something underneathā¦
Yes Jan I was referring to the seaside bit, I donāt think I ever went into the town, just not my thingā¦
Have a pleasant day folks
Itās pretty good, IMO. Plenty of places to stop for a drink or bite to eat. Lots of beach huts to admire. A lot of sand, boats on the horizon. I love it.
Good morning all.
Just back from Sainsburyās for my weekly shop. I also had to get a few things for my friend that I shall be going to her shortly. She had both of her knees injected yesterday, so not very mobile at the present time. The effects of the injections should come into play soon.
Barry. I also have to take my motor in for full service and MOT tomorrow. 13 years old and just 11666 miles.
Wow @Emjay, eleven thousand miles and 13 years old, thatās amazing, I thought the Jeep was good at seventeen years old and 85000 miles! Iāve owned the Jeep for six years now and put less that 1000 miles a year on it, so Iām really hoping it will get through without a big bill. Good luck with yours tomorrow.
Just looked in my rear garden and there is a giant Rat nearly the size of a small Cat, so iām going to have to stop feeding the birds.
Good morning all, a bit cloudy outside and the heating is on.
Nothing planned for me again today.
Have a nice day all.
Morning all.
Good luck Emjay and Barry with MoTs.
Oh gosh Susieā¦you donāt want that in your garden!! The only one Iāve seen around here was lying dead in the gutter, but a bit of a walk away. One thing I do get in my garden are cats. I watch the saved clips from my garden cam and have seen several, which look like they are just about to crawl under my shrubs (no doubt to do their business!). I need to put something there to stop them.
Library today to return a couple of books, and pay a small fine. Exciting times. Now, shall I walkā¦or drive?
Put pepper down Janet.
Morning all, thanks Jan the Jeep passed OK with just a small job needing fixing which they did whilst it was there, so no big bill this year thank goodness.
Looks like being a workshop day for me as Iām going to build a new canopy over the bedroom window, so no other plans at the moment.
Have a pleasant day everyone
Good morning all.
Just back from taking the car to the garage. Nice walk back. So the second walk for me today.
Cloudy, dull, and chilly.
Apart from some cooking, there is not much else for me to do.
Rats. Get a dog Susie. Minnie has disposed of 2 that dared to venture into her domaine.
Good morning all, its much milder outside.
Not fed the birds this morning until we get rid of that rat. I would love a Dog Emjay but my Husband doesnāt really like dogs that much and we wouldnāt have a Dog while we have our Cat. We like the Old English Bull Dog (Churchill one), they are so ugly that they are cute.
Have a nice day all.
Morning everyone, overcast here but quite mild so no complaints.
Just some painting to do this morning and then Iāll be taking our daughter to her radiotherapy session later on this afternoon. Chicken tagine for lunch.
Enjoy your day folks
Morning folks.
No great plans for today. I have an Amazon parcel coming later, to collect from the shop round the corner when itās here. Yesterday when at the retail park I bought a new Samsung Galaxy tablet, and ordered the cover on Amazon. Was going to buy the tablet when on my trip to Norwich on Monday, but now I can do other things when there. Shall still go. Paid Ā£219 on my credit card. I want a spare tablet for when the iPad is on charge and I need the internet quickly.
I spent the afternoon after full charge downloading certain apps and applying the password. At one stage I was up and down from my seat like a flipping yo yo, to grab something I needed. Then my card holder fell to the floor, scattering cards under the sofa. Hope Iāve got them all, lol. (Needed the debit card for my banking app.)
I wonāt get every app thatās on the iPad, as some wonāt allow multiple log ins. The WhatsApp for example, and I might delete Messenger. Have got my forum tabs open on the internet icon (got my priorities right! )
One app I did find was the one I use for ordering repeat prescriptions (didnāt know there was one). After several failed attempts to log in, I realised the password may have changed from what the surgery gave me. Yes of course it had. Duh! Found it in my password book, and hey presto, I was in. Saves me inputting the full URL each time.
I then phoned my surgery about the prescriptions (said a review needed by 22 Oct), I was advised to reorder early and the doctor would look at them, before updating. I was also able to book a flu jab, but this isnāt till early November. Eek.
Good morning all.
Cold but clear skyish except for very high cloud.
So the Dr phone appointment that was for 4.30-5pm, did not happen. I shall phone them at 9 when the phone lines are open and have a moan. Not that it will get me anywhere
Nothing else yet planned for today, so just let it happen.
I have 2 iPads Jan. the older one I think the battery is dying. I wonder if I can replace the battery? I managed to do that on both my iPhones. Tricky but easy when you know how. Youtube shows you how.
I heard itās not possible on iPads @Emjay , one of the ploys Apple use to make you buy a new machine I guessā¦
There are loads of āHow to do itā on YouTube. If the battery is almost dead, there would be nothing to loose. It would just be the cost of the new battery. In fact if I did it, I would remove the old battery first before getting a new one.
