Good morning everyone, cloudy here too but very mild and forecast dry so no complaints.
Just pottering about this morning, then this afternoon I’ll be taking Rosemary on a Chesterfield canal narrowboat cruise with a cream tea as a birthday treat.
Good morning all l
There must be a lot of holiday cancellations going about at the moment. Shame about your one Carol, and it was not even abroad.
At the moment the weather here is ok, but change is on its way.
Again it will be the usual Friday, with lunch at Morrisons, and dinner at my daughter’s.
They took her FIL to the hospital yesterday and they kept him in. He has an infection on the brain, antibiotics have been given.
When he went to his local GP a week ago, he was just given pain killers. Humm.
I need to go to the post office today to return a long dress I bought for my Warner Holiday. I would have kept it but it doesn’t suit me. I really should stop buying clothes off the internet!!
Later, Tony & I will go to Tesco for a weekly shop & maybe a walk in the woods, weather permitting.
Happy Birthday to Barry’s other half for yesterday. I hope the canal cruise was good.
Today I need to find the venue for a new ‘Dicky Tickers’ class I’m hoping to start on Monday.
Once found we hope to have a walk round the village & maybe go in the local pub.
Late afternoon, Ady is dropping my 10 yr old autistic grandson Josh off to stay the night with us.
It was my idea to have him. Paula looked at me as though I was mad & said ‘Are you sure’ I just want to give them a rest & the opportunity to have a lie in bed in the morning.
Josh is so naughty lately & getting worse. The last time he was here he tore some pages out of my books, smashed a teapot on the floor & then pieced it together again & replaced it in the cupboard, poured body lotion down the toilet etc etc. I was supposed to be watching him too!! I plan on getting some spy cameras for the rooms he goes in.
They have it 24/7 & never complain. I hear the desperation in their voiced sometimes & I feel the need to do what I can to help…
Morning all, another dry day forecast here today I mean wow, two days on the trot it must be summer…
After a smashing trip on the canal yesterday we are just taking it easy today pottering around in the garden and possibly expecting some family to drop in, so no other plans.
Good morning all.
Doom and gloom it would seem everywhere at the moment.
It’s not looking good for him down the road. Well he is not down the road now but in hospital.
So I just don’t know what I shall be doing today. I suppose it’s just a case of what develops.
I just done my walk around the field, and it still feels strange not to be followed by Minnie.
Weather here is overcast and rain is forecast.
Was at the allotment 10-12. Hacking at some high nettles, weeding, hoeing, then the chap on the other half offered me some leek plants, so I got them in the ground. Also sowed a few random seeds in peat pots, in situ.
Home to walk the dog, then it decided to rain for a bit, so we missed it. I have been relaxing ever since as my poor body feels done in. Into a good gangster library book. Female NfH has gone away for her hen weekend (yippee!!!). It was feared to be in jeopardy as one child of her friend had got scarlet fever, but fortunately for me (and my friend down the road), they have gone. Peace for the weekend. Cheers again.
Oh I could do with this peace and quiet every day!! Not a peep from NfH house, and young family other side were out till late, somewhere. Came home quietly late last night but made up for it at 6.30am. Father went out to work slamming car doors and then I could hear the boys. That got me up.
I will do a roast meal lunchtime but also might do a little more work on my allotment.
Good morning all.
My daughter’s FIL died early this morning. It was expected.
There is not much I can do for them, but I have offered my support.
Already been out for my walk. I did both fields.
The weather is ok at the moment, but rain is forecast for later.
So nothing planed, I shall just let it happen.
Good morning all, rain overnight but eased now before forecast to start again later. The garden is loving it of course but me, not so much…
I need to mow Mum’s lawns but they need to dry off a bit first so may put that off until tomorrow but we’ll see how the day goes. Nothing much on my agenda other than that, so will just play it by ear and potter about as normal.
And yes, congratulations on the birth of Sofia Abigail, she looks like she has a good pair of lungs already…
Good morning all, sun has just come out.
Nothing planned for the day.
Emjay, so sad for your FIL.
Carol, lovely baby and I love her name.
Have a nice day all.
