Chit Chat Thread (Part 2)

Morning all.

Dog walk done. A colder wind today, unlike yesterday when it was warmer and not so unpleasant.

May have a day off from gardening. We had rain last night so hopefully some watering done for me. Might just shoot over to check my rain buckets, see if enough to tip into water butt. I can go after the cafe meet, as it’s close enough.

As for later, hmmm…undecided. Might be an idea for me to tackle the front bit, all the weeds.

Morning all.

Well, a nice drop of rain if I may say so! All evening and all night. Only just passing by now. Can’t wait to see what this has done to my flower buckets on the allotment. But right now spect it’ll be too wet n muddy to go and see. They are at the back of my plot and I ain’t slipping and sliding for anyone!

Lady at the top of my road, who I always stop and chat to, has invited me in for a cuppa so going at 11. Leaving dog at home as she is looking after a cat. Been in there several times now so one day I will suggest I take her to our local cafe. After that, is anyone’s guess. I do want to get to the library but not sure if I will have time today.

Tomorrow is my hair trim, at 11.30, so my trip to town may have to wait till Friday now, as I usually prefer going in the morning. By that time I shall no doubt need bread and milk anyways.

Good morning all.
Sunny at the moment, but clouds approaching from the west.
I also had lots of rain yesterday evening and into the night. The water but is full again.
I have not looked at the one by the greenhouse.
Coffee and chat meet this morning. I shall be picking up my neighbour to take her, unless I get a text saying that she is other wise disposed.
There is no Ukulele class this afternoon, as it has finished. But it might start again in a few weeks time.

Hope your little dog is improving Emjay x

Good morning everyone, a bright start here but very little rain yesterday so my butts are not much more than a third full at the moment, I must get some more over winter for next year…

We’ve walked the dog and I’ve got bread rising, so now I’m having a cappuccino before planning what else to do with the day, so no plans as yet.

Enjoy your day everyone

Good morning everybody. It’s dry but dull here.

I’m off to meet Chris (friend) in Belper this morning.
We hope to do a short walk - about 2 miles. Afterwards it’s lunch & a browse round the shops.

Have good day all…

Good morning all, the sun is out and my washing is in the line.

Hope Minnie is still doing well.

Have a nice time with your friend Carol.

Have a nice day all.

Morning all.

Hair trim this morning, collect my repeat meds, then will see how we go from there.

Good morning everyone, sunny here too and not as cool as of late, looks like being a nice one…

My Mum is visiting for lunch and we are having pie and mash with cabbage and baby carrots from the garden, followed by Bakewell tart and custard, yum yum… better get the hoover out first though…

Enjoy your day folks

Good morning all.
It is quite nice out here some high cloud but not rain looking type.
Cleaning lady comes today, 10-12. She does a good job. My daughter has started to use her.
Minnie. I again had to carry her back home. She tries poor little old soul. Remember people, she is 17 and has liver and kidneys problem plus a growth on her kidneys.
As I said the other day, she is still eating, drinking, and other bodily functions. I feel it’s just a matter of time for the one way trip to the vet. Yes it is sad.

That is a good age, Emjay.

Relaxing in the garden after a shopping trip to Tescos and had a cuppa. Spent rather a lot. Eeek. Holly will want her dinner very soon. Maybe another few minutes.

Not been to allotment since we had all that rain. Just not had the chance.

We’ve had very little rain here and desperate for some more, our sandy soil drains much too quickly…

Morning all, nice and sunny here.

Off into Town this morn ing, see what I can buy for myself.

Have a nice day all.

Morning all.

A day early, Susie. Might be going myself later this morning, to the library.

Good morning everybody.

This morning Ady & Paula are coming to help us get something sorted in the garden. I am clearing a space behind the shed to store tubs & plant pots etc. It needs clearing & some golden gravel putting down.

Later they’re taking us out to lunch which we look forward to.

I am not feeling so achy this morning so I’m putting it down to the use of my new Tens machine last night. Pleased I won’t have to take so many painkillers…

Have a good day all…

Morning everyone, bright start here too and forecast very warm later, so I may have to find those old khaki shorts and string vest again… :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Back now from doing the Friday Tesco shop with absolutely nothing else on my agenda for the day, so will just have to see what turns up.

Have a pleasant day folks

Good morning all.
Has summer returned? Sunny and very warm.
Shortly I shall go by bus to the post office to return an Amazon packet. They sent me 2 as it was thought that the first one got lost.
It’s very complicated now. They sent me a email that included a barcode, that I have to show the person in the post office, they then have to print out a label that has to be attached to the packet.
So then as usual, lunch at Morrisons with my daughter, and then dinner at hers later this evening.

Yes Janet a day early because tomorrow i’m going to Great Yarmouth instead of Lowestoft.

Good morning all, hot and sunny here.

Off into Great Yarmouth Town Centre.

Have a nice day all.

Morning all.

Enjoy GY Susie.

Lovely sunshine.
