Morning everyone, cloudy here but warm and dry, so no complaints…
Just back from doing the Friday Tesco run and having a brew before nipping over to Mum’s for a chat and to do a few odd jobs. Nothing planned for after lunch though so will have to look around the garden for something for me to do, or maybe have a trip to the tip, but no doubt something will turn up…
Good morning all.
Sort of high clouds but very humid.
Done the first stroll of the day.
A bus ride for me about 10.00 to the post office. I have to top up my eBay/PayPal account as I have been buying lots lately. I don’t keep much in it for just in case of dodgy dealers. Down to my last 1,000,000. In there. ( yea right I wish).
Later as usual lunch at Morrisons, and dinner at my daughter’s.
Good afternoon everybody.
Thanks for the Good Luck’s. The CT scan went ok, now all I have to do is wait for the results.
Just shopping for us today if I can drive the car. The sciatica in my leg is very painful…
I’m thinking I could order an online delivery free with Amazon Prime. I’m on a free trial & it runs out soon.
Not sure of plans today yet. Might go into town, but depends if pet shop has certain dog biscuits in stock. Could spend longer in the library to choose some books.
My plans for today are to get some cleaning done but must nip to Argos at one point to collect a new hairdryer I ordered online.
We have no sun at the moment but I think (hope) we’re going to have a nice day…
Good morning all.
Earlier it was blue sky and sunshine. But now a heavy cloud cover has come from the west. Is it bringing rain I ask?
Laundry is doing itself, and only need to do one lot.
I don’t have much to do today, as my daughter is away again.
I expect some jobs will turn up.
Good morning everyone, broken cloud here but very warm already, perhaps thunderstorms later they say…
Not much on my agenda, I have to check the front brakes on my old Astra as they seem to be sticking, and I will have to water the veg plot if it doesn’t rain… such an exciting existence this retirement…
Went into town earlier, got hold of Susie asking if she wanted to meet for a coffee and we went into Greggs. She paid. Tut. My turn next, then.
I went into Wilko and the library after she left for her bus, and caught mine at almost 12. Dog walk done, sitting in garden with a cuppa, as a bit quiet (yay). Oh, scrap that. Holly is yapping at the bedroom window. I can hear her from here!! Surprised she hasn’t followed me out here.
Yes, we have ominous clouds overhead, and shortly I will put the chair and Holly’s mat in the shed, and close up the garden. Lunch is beckoning (whatever it is).
Good morning all.
Blue sky and not a cloud in sight. Hot and humid.
I have a few aches from yesterday doing the strimming and other things in the garden.
Don’t know what I will be doing today, as little as possible.
Up early. I was meant to get a text last night, between 8-10, from my Baxi engineer giving me a three hour time slot for today’s appt. Needless to say that text didn’t arrive so set alarm for 7, but was up at 6. Having my first cuppa/tablets, and will get the dog out after. I hate this, having to hang about. Bet I got up early for nothing.
Good morning all.
Still nice out this morning, but, there is a cool breeze from the east.
I am waiting for a parcel to be delivered to Morrisons Amazon hub. It went there yesterday after Morrisons was closed. So hoping that it will get delivered there early this morning.
I was going to pick it up this morning, and then go to Sainsburys for my weekly shop.
I shall wait a bit just to see what is going to happen. I don’t really want to make two trips,
Morning everyone, bright but cooler here this morning, much more comfortable.
I’ve got to repair a couple of things this morning and I will have to water the veg plot later too, as the promised thunderstorm didn’t appear, so lots to do and I’d better get started.
Disappointed. Engineer could find nothing wrong with my boiler. Recommended another application of the sealant, at the beginning of the heating season. I still think that is putting a sticking plaster on the problem, but hey ho. He said sometimes it takes two bottles to seal any leaks, so I will give that a try.
Went off to see little sis, did a shop in Aldi, big sis phoned as I got in, she then had to shoot off as a roofer had arrived, and we spoke again this afternoon. The chap quoted about 2k for the job that needs doing, off the top of his head, which shocked them both, but as sis then pointed out, my BiL has done work on their home in the past and not had to deal with tradespeople and their prices.
Tried to rain when I was on dog walk a short while ago. Certainly looks ominous up there at times.
