Chit Chat Thread (Part 2)

Morning all, nice and sunny here but still very windy.

Not going out today.

Have a nice day all.

Good morning everybody.

Now my upper back pain is miraculously better I plan a day in the garden.

I want to clean a space behind the shed & use it for storage - also want the clean the greenhouse out & scrub the patio with Pro Kleen.

Lovely & sunny - just the day for it.

Have a good day all

An old Doberman starts chasing rabbits and before long, discovers that he’s lost.

Wandering about, he notices a panther heading rapidly in his direction with the intention of having lunch.

The old Doberman thinks, “Oh, oh! I’m in deep trouble now!”

Noticing some bones on the ground close by, he immediately settles down to chew on the bones with his back to the approaching cat. Just as the panther is about to leap, the old Doberman exclaims loudly, “Boy, that was one delicious panther! I wonder, if there are any more around here?”

Hearing this, the young panther halts his attack in mid-strike, a look of terror comes over him and he slinks away into the trees.

“Whew!” says the panther, “That was close! That old Doberman nearly had me!”

Meanwhile, a squirrel who had been watching the whole scene from a nearby tree, figures he can put this knowledge to good use and trade it for protection from the panther. So, off he goes.

The squirrel soon catches up with the panther, spills the beans and strikes a deal for himself with the panther .

The young panther is furious at being made a fool of and says, “Here, squirrel, hop on my back and see what’s going to happen to that conniving canine!”

Now, the old Doberman sees the panther coming with the squirrel on his back and thinks, “What am I going to do now?”

But instead of running, the dog sits down with his back to his attackers, pretending he hasn’t seen them yet, and just when they get close enough to hear, the old Doberman says, “Where’s that squirrel? I sent him off an hour ago to bring me another panther!”

Moral of this story: Don’t mess with the old dogs.

Good morning all.
What a quick change in the weather this morning. I had to put a coat on when I went out for the morning stroll.
I decided that I needed another printer. So I went to Argos and got the cheapest Epson that they had.
What I intend to do is replace the ink pads on my other Epson. I have seen a few videos on how to do it on YouTube. Looks easy enough. I have already ordered a set. What else does one need? EBay and YouTube.

Good morning all.

You’ve beaten us all, Emjay. Yes, sometimes it is better just to buy a new printer. That is what I have done in the past when a problem occurs. Mine won’t connect wirelessly with my PC, or even print on demand at times (have cable attached). Maybe I need a new PC then (which, to be fair, is W8.1 and therefore no longer supported). It is a few years old so expect I will be shopping for new soon.

Given me an idea. I haven’t switched the pc on for awhile. Could do that and fiddle with the printer. Maybe do a reinstall.

Taking it easy today, spending time with Holly. My window cleaner should be here to do the back of the house, as I missed him last week.

Morning all, its cold and grey outside.

Did my weekly shopping this morning, not much on the shelves, will have to make out another shopping list for Wednesday when we will go to Gorleston.

Have a nice day all.

Hi everyone, I’m late on here today after a busy morning shopping and cooking. Cold wind and cloud again at the moment but hopefully we may see the sun this afternoon.

More cooking first though as I have to cook a big lasagne for the freezer ready for a family party here in a couple of weeks’ time, before going out into the garden to battle the first aphids.

Enjoy the rest of the day folks

Morning all, its another miserable, dull day here.

Not much planned for the day.

Have a nice day all.

Morning all, just off to the dentist for a check up, catch up with you later

Good morning all.
Yes also a miserable morning here as well. I expect like yesterday it will get better, I hope.
I shall be playing with the new printer again to get it to communicate with my iPad and phone.
I came across a SCAM, in a supposedly Epson help page yesterday.

Morning all.

Shall shower soon, when finished breakfast. Take the car round to cafe, then afterwards go straight to my sister’s, and see to the cats. The person she is paying will be round twice tomorrow, and may have gone twice yesterday. Had thought of going before cafe meet, but there really isn’t time. Yup, back to the time consuming dog walks, lol.

Yesterday evening, had incoming phone call from allotment friend. Holly then started mithering me for her walk, as we hadn’t done the 5-6pm one, and I hadn’t done supper. So by the time I got back it was 8.30. My meal was therefore a slice of bread and butter and some milk. Had wanted a banana sandwich but didn’t want it that late. Just as well I’d done a decent roast at lunch time.

Good luck Barry.

Thanks Jan, morning all

No problems at the dentist but just need an appointment with the hygienist apparently. A new dentist today though, the one we’ve been seeing for the last 35 years has now retired but the new bloke seems a decent sort of chap.

No plans for the day now other than preparing a salad for lunch, so will just take it as it comes.

Have a good day everyone

Good news Barry, but lucky you actually having a dentist to see.

My Dentist is a rip-off, last appointment cost me ÂŁ350.00.

Remember that.

Morning all, no sun yet, looks a bit brighter though.

We are off into Gorleston this morning, need to get quite a few things, then having Breakfast/Lunch at Morrison’s.

Have a nice day all.

Good morning all.
Yet another cold start to today. I don’t know if the weather is going forward or backwards. Maybe someone should tell it that is is supposed to be summer. In 14 days it will be mid summer. Yea right.
Off to the Wednesday coffee and chat later.
There is no Ukulele class this afternoon. So I shall have to find something to amuse myself with.

The longest day is 21st June Emjay, then the nights will be drawing in.

Morning all.

Yes you’re right about the weather. I can’t believe how cold it still is.

Only been up about 10 minutes. My time is my own today. Don’t have to see to the cats till tomorrow. If it stays dry and maybe warms up a bit I should get to the allotment and water my plots. And perhaps put in my potatoes. I also have a few more tomato plants at home that I need to repot.
