Chit Chat Thread (Part 2)

Does your wee Minnie have a water fountain with a filter system to have access to flowing water?

It helps greatly for cats.

I’ve found these to help having reading material on what ails her. Hoping it helps!

Hope Holly is OK now Janet, give her plenty of cuddles and kisses.

Thanks all, she’s over it now. My finger however is bruised from her bite this morning, and very sore.

Morning all.

Not a very exciting day, doing our weekly shopping and that’s it.

Have a nice day all.

Morning everyone,

A nice day forecast here so we’re going to have a walk then a picnic at Thoresby Park.

Good to hear that Holly is OK, and also good to hear that Minnie is on the mend too…

Have a good day folks

Morning everyone.

A busy day. Blood test at 10.45, a little drive away, 15-20 minutes, and at 2.30 a haircut (trim), fortunately just a walk round the corner.

And dog walks inbetween.

Been searching for cheap caravan deals for this weekend after my neighbour tells me they will be having a huge party on Saturday, spilling out into the alley. Usually this means fag ends being dropped out the front (can’t understand why they won’t use ash trays or drop them in the garden), a lot of noise, bbq smoke, and complete disturbance. Maybe till the early hours. Reluctant to pay the charges asked for, though. I still have time, and will keep checking, see if rates have been reduced. Not happy about being stuck here, unable to go into my own garden or indeed into my back room and kitchen.

At least the sun is shining today.

I feel for you Jan, it’s bugger when you can’t get out in your garden on a nice day, we thank goodness for good neighbours such as ours… we really are very lucky…

Good morning all.
I also send my good wishes for Holly. As with Minnie, been there when a Doberman slipped its collar and went for her. I managed to get her away, and was surprised at the assistance of the passers by. One even had stopped her car and asked if she needed to be taken to a vet. Fortunately there was no damage done.
Weather here is sunny at the moment, but still cold and windy. Could rain or saving it for Saturday?
As for a Thursday, cleaning lady coming.

Went grocery shopping today after nearly 3 weeks waiting in new fridge/freezer.

It’s a new configuration, so it was fun to arrange things as in the block game TETRIS :joy::joy::joy:

Had to ditch the bag of ice we’d bought extra for keeping the food cold until it was delivered.

Thankfully, the two bags of chips we got fit perfectly in the top drawer.

On another subject, someone was talking about loneliness. Having been married for 36 years until hubby died unexpectedly a year ago now, I miss our daily chats.

Planning the Todo lists and the meals for the upcoming weeks. Otherwise, when hubby went away on his work contracts, I had enough to keep me busy.

First there wasn’t as much direct debit as they are today. So, paying bills was a weekly thing… However, there was a phonecall at the end of the day. That’s no longer happening so it’s missing.

Hopefully, daughter and I have a new system in place and it’s good. Regardless, when you married for love and that disappears overnight, it’s tough. I still cry, still don’t have much of an appetite. But the love of a good man has been wrenched out of my heart.

No worries, still recovering. It’s a slow progress but we’re getting there one day at a time. Thanks!

PS can’t help the chit chat, I miss that a lot…

Morning all.

Sending hugs Super. I can’t imagine what it is like to lose one’s partner, but did feel a long term grief after my mum died.

Spent the evening looking again for last minute caravan deals and might phone one company today, to book something. I am hopeful of getting something quite cheap. It would mean going this afternoon and amid a flurry of packing, but I do not want to be around at home when the idiots next door have their party this weekend. If they intend spilling out into the alley then goodness knows what disturbance there will be. My friend in the card shop reckons her own neighbours will be joining them. Eeeek.

Good luck with that booking Jan, sounds like the best idea if you can pull it off…

Morning all, raining here and looks like being set in for the day.

Just a trip to the hospital with Mum this morning to investigate a problem with her eyes, but nothing else planned for later as yet.

Have a good day everyone

Good luck with Mum, Barry.

Unfortunately, weather wise, we could be hit by thundery showers by mid morning, and spilling into the afternoon. Might put a dampener on my own plans, let alone next door’s. Sigh.

Too true Jan, could be a pretty damp weekend by the sounds of it…🫤

Morning all, nice and sunny here.

Janet hope you find a deal for Saturday.
Barry good luck with your |Mums eyes.
Hope everyone else is well.

Good morning all.
It does not look to good here weather wise. I have already been out with Minnie. She was a bit sick earlier. That’s been cleared up and the blanket is in the washing machine.
I don’t really know what I shall be doing today. My daughter and her lot have gone to the IOW for a long weekend, back Tuesday. So I am on cat duty in the mornings. One of her friends does the evening shift.
P.S. Just been notified that I have won £50 on premium bonds. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Thanks @Jazzi ! Much appreciated.

My two pence worth regarding the (many) parties which will take place this weekend… Take it with a grain of salt deary, as the last major one equal to this was back in June 1953.

Lots of time ago. So, grin and bear it, it’ll be over as soon as begun. However, I’d be more concerned about the other kind of disturbances that might be going on. Just mentioning the track record of the 1980s between Charles and Diana, seriously not good.

I’ll be watching but with a weary eye… I love history and pageantry. Regardless, I’m nervous of adversity and hatred, it’s all around (too much, I might add, when one prefers PEACE!) but he was pelted with eggs already, the incident at BK the other day. Oof, nail biting time.

If all goes well, it’ll be good, if it doesn’t… Watch out for the fallout!

Praying that Tuesday the ninth is here quickly and all is said and done!

Blessings!

You’ve not lived next door to my neighbours.

Well done Emjay.

The company I phoned had nothing cheap, so the caravan I wanted, I’ve sent a message to the owners. Just waiting now. I will also look elsewhere. Just been to Morrisons to stock up, just in case.

Now, do I pack?

Granted dear, I may not know your particular situation. However, I’ve had decades of bad experiences with nasty neighbours and police services which were useless.

Put them troublesome neighbours in a virtual box, locked it up and send it into the void. Karma will get them!

Sending healing vibes to you fir a peaceful weekend. Blessed be!

That’s the thing, super, it won’t be a peaceful weekend. It will be horrible. There will be no escape. I can only hope it rains.

Not having much luck re booking a caravan. Not on my budget, anyway.
