Chit Chat Thread (Part 2)

Good morning everybody.

I’m taking advantage of my newly renewed membership & am going for a class at the Leisure Centre this morning.

This afternoon Tony & I will probably go a walk round the pond & a trip to Aldi.

Have a good day all…

Once again, I got thwarted lol. No, not you dear…

I’ve been planning to take daughter and I for a swim trip at our Waterfront Leisure Centre.

Usually, it’s the weather. As of this morning, it’s a head cold… Bummer!

It was closed to nothing but memberships and as my exercise routine is at home doing Tai chi or yoga, these memberships are useless and overpriced. Now isn’t everything that way as it seems we’re the ones paying for the costs of a pandemic we’re not responsible for… Darn!

Now that it’s reopened, early April, every time I try, blam there goes my weekend…

Wish I had one of these at home… They call these Endless Pools!

A nice few hours at Gt Yarmouth. Went by bus, so free. But spent money on sweets, and snacks. On way home by 1.15. Waved to Susie as we passed her house, not sure if she saw me.

Relaxing with second cuppa, for a daily tablet, updated all my spends for this week (eeeeeek!! Surprised I have anything left).

Shall collect the dog about 4.30.

Morning all, sun is coming out now.

Off out into Town this morning, stroll around the shops.

Have a nice day all.

Morning all.

I shall spend the weekend with my dog, doing bits indoors. Get my new drill charging, tidy up the shopping still on the dining table. Fill up Holly’s biscuit box. And put the new meds in the daily strips.

Morning everyone, the rain has stopped here but still dull. No frost though, so no complaints really… :sunglasses:

A friend of ours has just set up his own dog grooming business so we are going to let him groom Oscar in the future, and his first session with him will be this morning. When we’ve dropped him off we will go to the garden centre for some compost and some hanging basket plants, then pick Oscar up again after lunch.

Enjoy the day folks

Good morning all.
It’s not very nice out here in the NE of London. Very damp, and cold.
Just back from the morning stroll around the field.
One of the foxes was watching me and it was also watching Minnie. I got quite close to it.
I wonder if it thinks that Minnie could be a nice dinner.
Laundry being done as usual for Saturday morning.
I don’t know what my daughter has planned for today, I will just have to wait and see.

Good morning all.

Well today Tony & I are going to clear the hallway & the gym/playroom ready for some furniture being carried through. My leather settee was in a shabby state so when I saw a leather one for sale in the Heart Foundation Charity shop I snapped it up. It’s almost like new & got a Marks & Spencers label on. In much better condition than the one I’ve got.

Ady & my son in law Nick are coming to carry my old one through the front door & dump it in the front garden ready for the council to come & collect it. They charged me £35 for the privilege of taking it away…

My new one is being delivered on Monday.

Tony & I hope to go a walk round the local pond later.

Have a good day all…

Sticky Fingers & You Get Double Your Order, But Worth It

Since the Pandemic happened in March 2020, it has been near impossible to get the wee spice bottles with Minced Onions and forget it… Completely nowhere to be found when it comes to Onion Granules aka the lovely ground powder to flavour anything and everything except your creamy fudge :joy::joy::joy:

Daughter and I were at our witts ends. We’d gone through all the local and next village grocery stores to no avail. In a desperate bid, we’ve decided to risk ourselves and buying bulk from Amazon UK.

Boy oh boy, no disappointment there. Woohoo :raised_hands::raised_hands::raised_hands:

I read the whole description and all the comments. I made my decision and I can sincerely say, I’ve no regrets whatsoever.

It arrived quickly, the packaging keeps the product fresh as it has a two parts seal.

The only thing is that I added it to my basket and when I was ready to order, I added it again. LOL… So yours truly now has two (1kg) bag of delicious onion powder. Pretty much for a year or more.

Thanks to Alpine Store on Amazon, our dishes have amazing flavours again. It’s a French thing… We love herbs and spices naturally!

Link below if you’re looking for same or other spices that might have disappeared from your stores. Happy cooking!

Morning folks.

Might go over to the allotment today, the weather looks set to be nice enough for it. Holly was fine me leaving her yesterday for a bit.

Morning all, milder here overnight and looks like being a quiet day weatherwise…:sunglasses:

We have guests arriving for lunch who are both vegetarians, so I’ll be making a sweet potato and spinach dahl, with some naan bread, vegetable spring rolls and wontons.

Have a pleasant Sunday everybody

Good morning all.
It also looks like it could be a nice day here as well.
Already been out with Minnie for our stroll.
It is getting difficult having to give her the eye drops and also the Calpol. Don’t know why as the Calpol has a nice taste.
Nothing else planed yet for the rest of the day.

Thanks @susiejaeger , it worked out well and everyone enjoyed it… :man_cook:

Quiet Sunday but bit busy with freezer’s ice removal. Managed to clear one shelf. Satisfaction but both of us had bleeding knuckles.

Put the 4 pints Pyrex cup with hot water. Did the trick for that top shelf. Tomorrow, planning to use steamer to clear another two shelf.

Was a bit upset of paying so much for a frost free that turned out to be frosted all over. As you know, Comet stores closed shortly after. We couldn’t exchange and no insurance…

Oh well… We have till Wednesday to fix it.

Currently, recovering from head cold after huge allergy overload. Just watching “Smallville” series with Tom Welling. Kitty kat on sofa between me and daughter, purring away…

Busy week ahead!

Morning all, its another beautiful sunny here.
Nothing planned for the day, so might sit around the Sand Dunes later, if the sun stays out.
Have a nice day all.
