Good morning all.
Sunny and almost a blue sky. But I don’t think it will last for long.
Took Minnie to the PDSA yesterday. The vet I saw was more efficient than the last one. He even trimmed her claws.
He subscribed different eye drops. They are the same ones that I was advised to get from the chemist for humans. The difference was, £15 from the chemist, and £18 from the vet.
Off to the Wednesday coffee and chat later.
This morning I’m taking Tony to the surgery for a health check with a health care assistant. In my opinion a waste of time. Last year I told them how tired he was but he was never offered any medication or help or advice… He’s still exhausted - just struggling from day to day…
After the surgery, I’m leaving Tony at home & meeting my friend Chris for lunch.
After my lunch with Chris I need to get home to Tony. I plan on taking him to Sainsburys & a walk round the park late afternoon
Increased type of tiredness? I’ve suffered from that for a long time after my father died as he was the one taking me to my regular doctor’s visits and they came to an end.
Okay, enough of the sobs stories You need some help. Mind you not a specialist but been there done that. Here goes… Welcome to my health world
Lack of iron as in iron deficiency. Causes anaemia and one major symptom, you sleep for hours on end and you still feel tired. Yes, I’ve had a lifetime of that. One blood test for iron levels should confirm or clear it. Then iron supplements daily depending on severity.
Low blood pressure as in hypotension. Sucks your energy like you wouldn’t believe. A blood pressure test from a home kit after a doctor’s one to keep track. Personally, I don’t require medication for it, on days that it’s bad, a little extra Himalayan Pink Salt does the trick.
Thyroid gland. Hyperthyroidism meaning the gland works overtime and burns calories too quickly and weight plummets. Hypothyroidism, everything slows down, my situation. You gain weight and you become sluggish. Selenium was the key for me to keep it in check. One or two tests for H3 and H4 hormones from the thyroid gland should identify the cause.
I know it’s a lot but knowing what to discuss with doctors usually helps. Good luck. You’ll be in my prayers.
You all know these days that electricity prices have been through a huge jump in cost. Trying to reduce said costs is sometimes difficult when major appliances have changed in their production and the famous “A to C” energy ratings seems to have gone out the window overnight.
With hubby, I’d be discussing alternatives to replace two appliances which are nearly 10+ years old.
So my question: I’ve a separate fridge and freezer, medium size freestanding. The freezer is a nightmare, ice getting thick and having to trim constantly. Daughter and I are considering replacing both of them with one combined appliance. Should we wait until they break down or replace now while item is on special?
1.Modern appliances use much less energy than older ones, therefore a new appliance would save money longer term, for as fridges and freezers are notoriously long lived machines then the running costs of keeping an older appliance until it breaks down would not be cost effective.
2. Also if you wait until a breakdown then there is a good chance that you will lose your stock of freezer food whilst you try to organise the purchase and installation of a new appliance, hence more wasted money.
3. If there is a decent money off buy available at the moment then that is another incentive which won’t be around forever.
Personally then, weighing up the above, I would seriously consider swapping now…
Heading into town after my washing is finished. Take all library books back, have a good browse. Into The Works for something. Then get my £30 winning lotto ticket paid out, get one for tonight and maybe tomorrow.
What I do afterwards depends on the time spent there.
Good morning all.
Blue sky, sun shine, but cold westerly wind.
Expecting my cleaning lady today at 10am. She does 3 hours.
Then I have to go get the prescription for my daughter’s FIL .
Also my daughter is on her way home on the M25 at the moment. ( got a tracker on her).
I went and bought a solar powered fountain for the pond off eBay. It was cheap, but it ain’t working yet.
I have put it in a tray with sufficient water in and on the table in the garden. Watching it in eager anticipation.
I’ve been doing that for years. I prefer wash and wear styles and after the hair dye damages of 2020, my hair have now regrown anew.
I’m now sporting a reversed Bob cut. Done by cutting your hair to the length you want under the elastic of a ponytail. My natural hair colour is back as well as all my natural curls. So happy!
Thanks to regular applications of coconut oil treatment as well as honey treatments too.
Have a look at this video below. When you can’t afford regular maintenance, you have to have courage. Since 1978, I take care of my own hair. During pregnancy I lost my hair twice. So it’s third time after failed colouring lol. Now doing that again anytime soon lol!
Thanks for the advice SN. Tony has alzheimer’s & tiredness is a major symptom. I’m afraid nothing can be done.
At his health check he was diagnoses as borderline diabetic so he’ll have to cut down on his chocolate.
Ladies Only - In Your 50s Get Rid of Pinching Bras!
Hello ladies, I’ve suffered for years the strangest pains with my shelf LOL!
Once I’d reached my 50s I began ditching the metal inserts in bras and as well used yoga-style support bras. After two years, the pains caused by the metal inserts creating pressure on my chest, were gone.
Yes, I’ve had it checked by GPs and everything was A-Ok! So, if you’re suffering, consider these. You get support, comfort and no more pains. Underwire free!
Shall hoover first before my shower, before Holly comes home later today. And I will go off by bus to Gt Yarmouth, have a look at the fair and walk down to the sea front.
Good morning all.
I could see the wetness approaching from the west, so Minnie and I went out early.
I judged it well as it has started to rain.
My daughter is home, so I hope everything will be returning to normal.
I have got to remain home as I am expecting a delivery by Royal Mail between 10-2. Nice of them to inform me.
I hope it is early as I don’t want to miss my lunch at Morrisons. 2 fried eggs and chips, and a pot of tea.
