Today I’m meeting up with Beryl, a lady I met through Yours magazine.
We’ll browse round the shops in our local town (Alfreton) & then have a tea & tea cake in Home Bargains cafe’
Got to get back to Tony before 2.00pm as that’s the time he likes me to take him out. I plan a trip to Sainsburys & a walk round the local park with him. My day is quite full.
Good morning all.
Muggy is the only way I can explain the weather here today.
I have my cleaning lady coming at 10 til 12. And for now that is it.
All these holidays some of you people are having, that’s nice.
Me, I just say my life is one big holiday. Apart from the fact, I don’t have anyone to go on holiday with.
Also I could not leave Minnie at this time, as she is not a well dog.
In a nearby Tesco. Wanted a few bits. Caught the bus so I dont lose parking space. Will probs go into Toby for supper. Carvery or ordinary meal, then maybe toast n coffee in the morning.
Having a pot of tea. With nothing to dash back for, why not? Will pack the car later, with most stuff.
Had a lie down after trip to town, got up to check a message, checked the bus timing to this store, and flew out of the room, as due in 5m. Bus station right close to the TL, so been very handy.
Good morning all, mild here first thing and a dry forecast for a change, so not half bad…
Back from doing the weekend Tesco shop, extra supplies today though as we are expecting visitors for lunch on Sunday. Not much on today’s agenda other than pottering in the garden with some weeding and planting.
Good morning all.
It just started raining as I was halfway around the field. Just a few drops so did not get too wet.
As for Friday, lunch at Morrisons, and dinner at my daughter.
Jan. just de scaled my kettle with citric acid. I put a tablespoon of it and keep it boiling.
If there is more scale at the bottom which there was, I pore half of the water away and add more citric acid to the remainder of the water, and boil again. Looks like new again.
Thanks Emjay, I’ll look for some. Wilko usually stock it.
Home after a nightmare drive, in pouring rain. But it actually was a safe journey, just had to concentrate. Had to stop several times for a loo break, and at 1 found a Morrisons in Diss, had lunch there and did a shop.
Resting now.
Had an awful night, with noise above me. Sounded like they were stomping from bed to floor, and woke me at midnight. Went to reception and they went up to have a word. Still had to find some ear plugs and had just a few hours.
I have just had a cuppa, will go back to bed for a bit longer, then have a leisurely breakfast, take more paracetamols for this persistent headache, and finish unpacking. Will collect Holly later this afternoon, when I’m all done. Not sure yet if going back out, as I wanted to (original plan). Just wanted the big diy and gardening places, still on the lookout for a dalek compost bin, and maybe a wheelbarrow.
Good morning all.
Also a late birthday greetings to R/S.
Raining. So not going on the early stroll with Minnie.
Weekly laundry is being done. So nothing else is yet planed.
My daughter is at the moment in Southampton and with her husband they are doing a deliver of a very large air compressor.
Then they will get the ferry to the IOW. They will stay overnight at the farm, and back tomorrow.
No cat duty for me as grandson is at home.
Hope our weather stays dry. Unpacked now, just had some painkillers for this headache, and will shortly shower. Then get a pork steak in some marinade for later.
Tony & I will be taking flowers to our mother graves today.
Planning to have our autistic grandson Josh overnight. We love him to bits but he can be very naughty.
Belated greetings to realspeed. I hope you had a lovely birthday.
Been out shopping, some for allotment. Now in mcd waiting for dessert. Had lunch in Morrisons. Then must get home, unload car, put seat back, and get Holly. If not raining mite walk to get her.
