Rother is home to the second-highest proportion of pensioners in England and Wales. The 2021 Census has revealed 32.4 per cent of people living in the East Sussex district are aged 65 or over.
so what happens? banks closing down so have to go into Hastings or Eastbourne, great for OAP’s without transport . Bexhill town is now mainly cafe’s ( even the banks are moving out )and eating places that is if you can get in to park a car anyway.
Yet house prices are increasing above the national average. Mine has gone up 2/3rd according to Zoopla since we bought 8.5 years ago. No way could we afford it now just glad we bought outright when we did

No specific plans for today, but do think it’s time I did some hoovering, so maybe that. Might have a tidy round, move spare shopping upstairs.
Susie, heaven knows what you will need to do stop the cat jumping onto the fish tank. Don’t envy you. Was telling my sis when driving to collect her car and she said about when she and daughter first got their two cats as kittens and the damage they did. Including to an expensive lamp. Holly, fortunately, was more into chewing electrical cables, which were easily fixed. Hope you can get something sorted.

The vet said that Minnie seems ok, but have to take in a wee sample on Monday.
I thought that it would be fun trying to catch a wee. So I had a practice run this morning. It was easy. Just hope it is as easy on Monday.
Not doing much today as shall not be seeing my daughter.
I expect I shall find things to amuse myself.

It is cold out again today. Done my usual morning chores, and that is it.
I don’t have anything planed for today, so I shall just let it happen.
I’m freezing indoors, Emjay. Blinking freezing.
I have the heating on and it is just 20c in the lounge. Just had another cupa and still cold.
Its 22c in our Lounge and we don’t have any heating on, we did put the CH on at 6am this morning for half hour and that’s it.

Speaking of heating, I have my thermostat set at 20c but I’m going to put it up to 22c & blow the cost. Nothing worse than a cold house this time of year!
This afternoon Tony & I are going a ride out to find a destination I need to go to on Feb 8th. It’s called Morley Hayes. It’s a posh hotel, spa complex etc. No such luxury for me - I’m going there for a speed awareness course. I got the ticket for speeding a few days before my car accident last December.
Anyway, thanks to sat-nav I’m sure we’ll find it alright but I always like to have a practice run if I’m going anywhere different.
