Morning folks.
I shall rest today after doing gardening yesterday (did a stint at the allotment). I can’t do anymore till the ground softens, other than plan. I even struggled to get metal tent pegs back in, as all ground coverings had blown loose. At least the way I’ve left it now, committee will see I’m making the effort.
As for what I shall do today, no doubt picking up watching The Grand Tour on Prime, and reading my library book. And folding up washing from the airers.
I was so tired after being on the allotment, I went to bed for an hour and didn’t even give Holly her second walk of the day at lunchtime. She waited till about 6, but popping in and out the garden meantime, then I let her in the garden last thing, and again in the night. Thank goodness I moved from the flat to this house/garden, which my older sister reminds me the reason why.

Cold frosty and foggy or should that be Misty? I suppose mist is natural, and fog is man made.
Just had my son deliver my birthday present. Another orchid in a glass container, shirt, and yet another box of biscuits.
All the chocolate and biscuits that I have should last me until Easter.
Not doing much else today. Says he. Until it happens.

I have things to do today. Return a library book that I can’t renew, as it has reserves. Collect my goods from Wilko. And go somewhere to get bread. And no idea what to have for lunch/dinner.

Done most of my morning chores including the morning walk. The footballer were out on the field yesterday. You can tell by the rubbish they leave. There are 4 bins for rubbish, but they are too lazy to use them.
I have a bloke coming this morning to look at my car. I believe that it is the starter motor or solenoid.
What with all the biscuits and chocolate that I have been scoffing, I checked my blood this morning. 6.9. That’s up for me.

I’m waiting for the doctor to phone this morning - hopefully she will have the results of my gall bladder scan & also I need to discuss medications with her. Something is giving me terrible indigestion which I’ve never had in my life before. I suspect a new blood pressure tablet but will wait & see what she says.
This afternoon Tony & I will go a walk round the park - nothing else planned except to laze around.
I like to pace myself nowadays.

It seems I have polyps in my gall bladder & the doctor told me the hospital will probably want to ‘whip it out’
I said ‘What the polyps’ & she said ‘No your gall bladder’

Sorry to hear about your problems Carol, although I do know a few people who have had their Gall Bladder removed and has benefited by it, it seems to be one thing after another for you, thinking of you.

I had mine done by keyhole. You still need to take it very easy afterwards.
Cafe this morning, then writing group this evening.
Sis’s car broke down again yesterday and she waited for recovery. She was too far away for me to go help her, as she had been to see her son. It is now outside a garage, as was booked in for service on Thursday. Goodness knows how she will get to work. Leaving her to it.
Mine goes in tomorrow so that will be me without. I will have to get a cab home and then back again as too far to walk. My usual garage has now sold up. At least from there I could walk into town and get a bus.

Good very late morning.
I had to take my car in early to have a new battery fitted. They took so long trying to secure the clamps that hold the battery in place. If fact I ended up showing them how to do it. ( can’t get the staff)
As usual done the early walk with Minnie.
She is not very well. I have applied to the PDSA for a renewed registration. After the experience with the local vet with her foot. I just don’t trust the overpriced facility.
Sorry to hear about Minnie not being well, hope she gets better.

I’m picking my friend Chris up but not decided where we’re going today. Maybe the garden centre?
Got the ironing lady coming with a delivery late afternoon. £35 this will cost me. I’m trying to get my strength up to do my own ironing!!

Susie, 8 of us at coffee group, but the married couple (wife only comes fortnightly and it was her turn to pay for the pot), left early so we could all sit round the table, rather than use up two. A nice chat. When I told the crowd I was dropping the car off today for service and mot one of them invited me into her home for a cuppa this morning. She lives opposite the garage, so I shall do just that. Then I can walk round to the retail park, do a quick bit of shopping, and get a cab home.
WG was fun, too. Lady of the house was resting in her room so just 4 of us. We finished just before 9. As usual I was driving round and round till I could squeeze into a parking space. Our roads always fill up by the evening.
Young family came home from their holidays late last night. Dad was complaining how cold it was here. Said they landed about 8.30, Stansted I think. Never heard them come in but could hear the boys this morning.
I must crack on then. Laters.

Minnie is old like me. She is about 15 now and has slowed down a lot. She is drinking a lot and also peeing a lot. I have to make shure that she goes out often. She has had a few accidents on the lounge carpet and kitchen.
Well we have already been out and it is still a very cold wind.
Off later to the coffee and chat group. Walk and bus it.
