Cold and damp this morning, but I donāt expect you need to know that, as you have the same.
Excitement of the day, is my cleaning lady comes.
At the Coffee and chat club yesterday, they celebrated my birthday with a card and cake, that was Shared with the other wrinklies.
The thing is my birthday is on the 20th. So it was a week early. Maybe they will do it again next Wednesday.
Ah, now we know!

Thanks Susie. Just washed my hair, will walk Holly quickly when itās dry then pop round to the salon.
Trying to get dates booked with dog carer but he is unable to confirm till this evening. But Shearings have one holiday available which they will hold for 24 hours, and will ring me back in the morning.
And bad news on the computer re upgrade from W8.1. Unable to do it free now, as too much time has elapsed. I may need to search Currys for a new one. This infuriates me.

Rather late today. But no one is going to sack me cos they canāt.
It is rather nice out, but cold.
My daughter is back from her holiday, so hoping that everything will return to normal.
I did my usual leg (knee) exercises yesterday, done a bit on the exercises bike, and then tried and succeed to back pedal on the Brompton. Well pleased with that.
I expect I shall go to lunch at Morrisons if the usual neighbours are there.

Losing the will to live here. Waiting for a 10am call back from Shearings, and in the meantime have fired up my laptop, to try and work on that. Just so unresponsive, so now on the iPad.
So will maybe spend most of the day messing about on that, and then after giving Holly a small portion of her dinner have to go off to a vet for her booster Vax. Will give her the rest when we get home. Awkward time of the day theyāve given us.

Been out with Minnie and it was not raining much, but just as we got in it started heavy. I must be good as the rain gods look down on me. They must see me out, and say, ā hang on guys, wait until he gets back indoors ā.
I have to go for my annual eye test at 1120. I shall get the bus there. I am not going to be talked into more glasses. I am quite happy with the ones I have.
Oh, two UK breaks booked. Going back down to Essex, London border in March, then the coach holiday to Whitby is booked for April.
My brother has booked me into the guest room just along the hallway to his flat for 2 nights, then I have paid for 2 nights in a Travelodge. The latter is in Harlow. Handily placed next to the carvery I meet up with brother, sister and in laws. And lots of stores to shop in!
The Premier Inn I stayed at last year was too expensive, just for a room. And hopefully the guest room close to brother will also help with savings (not sure of cost yet, need to phone Monday to pay.) and brother did say the breakfast was good - jokingly referring to their place I presume - but there are cafes round the corner if I wanted. And then there is the pie and mash shop nearby for supper!!!
Great Janet that you have booked your holidays, we will make sure we have our Chinese with you before March.

Yes I can hear that wind. I again refused to go out late last night so dog went in the garden.
I had a bad night, not able to sleep. Allotment friend phoned with more bad news. I said when are you going to call me with good?! Around 2am I took a herbal sleep aid, got up about 20 minutes ago.
Cooking another roast meal today (beef and cauli cheese, did a chicken one yesterday).
The sun is out now Janet, but still windy.

Itās very dull here - looks like weāve had rain overnight.
We hope to go a little walk round the park this morning and spend the afternoon with a box of chocolates watching one of our favourite old films - Spartacus.
Iām going to cook us a nice chicken dinner for tonight - best not eat too many chocolates!!

Done that. Washed her feet, fished a little dead fish out of the pond.
So now back indoors, and I intend to stay here.

Itās raining! What a surprise. Not. Looks set to last all morning, and heavy, so Holly and I will get very wet shortly. In the meantime sheās happy to stay in bed. Against my better wishes I left the heating on all night. Dang the expense.

Iām waiting in for a phone call from the doctor. It carries on from last week when she prescribed me some antidepressants. She wants to know how Iām getting on with them.
They arenāt suiting me at all so sheāll have to find me some more. Theyāre taken away my appetite & enjoyment of food - also given me indigestion. I hate taking tablets but need them to function it seemsā¦
Ah well, the rest of the day is my own. Tony & I will do a bit of housework & go a walk round the parkā¦
