Chit Chat Thread (Part 2)

Good afternoon to you all, may I be so bold as to ask you all to take a very short break from your Christmas preparations and with bowed head join me in showing office photocopiers that we really care. Tonight is the office Christmas party, a time when a lot of office photocopiers fear and a time when they are abused.
The photocopier at the Labour Party HQ was very badly abused by Diane Abbott last year and has since been taken into care, the photocopier not her.
Thank you for reading and sharing this moment with me.

Was it a big bum Vlad being photographed?

Morning all.

Not going out anywhere.

Have a good day all.

Morning all.

I have a trifle to make, most probably today, but if next door starts up the ā€˜loud music while they do bakingā€™ I might have to go out. My older sister on the phone yesterday, ā€˜so they need loud music while they bake?ā€™ Almost incredulous.

Depends on the weather and what time I have. If I canā€™t go out, then my own stereo is on standby. Susie, I plugged in the USB stick with the music. Plays it nicely.

I also need to set the WM going very soon, and include the dressing gown Iā€™m wearing right now.

Happy Christmas Eve.

Good morning all.
Well I ainā€™t doing anything for the Christmas festivities. Really there is nothing to do. I shall be going as always, tomorrow to my daughter for the feast.
Bah humbug.
Weather here this morning is bright and sunny. Done my out with Minnie.
Second load of clothes in the washing machine, and first lot in the dryer.
I am going to give Minnie a haircut and bath shortly. Oh that will be fun.

Good morning everybody.

Iā€™m expecting a visit from a few of the family.

Have a good day all.

Got the dehumidifier running for my washing.

Morning all.

I was forced to get up at 7, half hour before my alarm*, first by the dog continually licking my face and wanting belly rubs (and I thought she wanted to go out), and then by a WhatsApp message from a previous colleague, sending me Christmas greetings.

Why on Earth canā€™t people do this at a reasonable time???

*because I have a lot to do I didnā€™t want to risk oversleeping.

Anyways, Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas to all.

At this moment in time, the kitten is driving me mad, she is running around the rooms like then Road Runner.

Have a great day all.

Good morning all and a Merry Christmas all and I hope you have a good day.
I shall be going to my daughter and I have to pick up my SILs parents. They only live down the road to me.
There is a fox that is getting brave when we go out in the afternoon around the small field. I have been enticing it with Minnieā€™s treats, and comes quite close at times.

Good morning all.
Up with the larks, thatā€™s me.
I hope you all had a pleasant day yesterday, as did I.
The question for me is, do I go shopping today or tomorrow? Sainsburys is open from 10-5 today. But I wonder if they will have the things that I need.
Decisions, decisions.
Blue sky here but cold. I know this as I have already been out with Minnie.

Morning all.

Not been out yet, but suppose Iā€™d better make a move. Then prep more veg and stuffing/sausage for another roast lunch. Yum.

Iā€™ll give the supermarkets and shops a miss for a few days. No room in fridge or freezer, and I have bust my own budget, lol. I try to rein in my spending. Brother responded to that with he canā€™t stop. Yep, I was like that, but every so often I draw out a sum of money, and use that cash for daily spend. Plus the fact there is nothing I want or need yet.

Happy Boxing Day.

Morning all.

Not going out today and no bus service until tomorrow.

No more Turkey left now, thank god, it will be Chicken today.

Have a nice day all.

Morning all.

Yes, it is still a holiday today. I am not sure what will be on the menu here. Nothing much or heavy, most probably.

Neighbours have started putting their bins out. Wonder if they presume they will get emptied today (not!)

Good morning everybody. Iā€™m up bright & early & had a decent nights sleep thanks to diazepam!!

I will leave Tony to slumber for a another hour as Sue & Nick arenā€™t picking us up for our four day break at Thorsby Hall until 11.30am.

Hoping this little break will do us both good - me especially. I just want to relax & walk in the grounds. It has acres & acres of parkland & when Tony wants a lie down I will go in the pool & sauna. Will be giving the gym a miss though.

When Sue & Nick leave us we will be on our own. Without the car we wont be able to go to the surrounding towns & walk in Sherwood forest. It will be quiet but that is what I need really.

Ady is going to take me car shopping in the new year. That is all sorted now & he is happy for me to drive again.
I know he was only thinking of my safely bless himā€¦

Enjoy the rest of the Christmas holiday everybody ā€¦

Carol, hope you and Tony have a lovely time, and that it will do you good. Maybe not having a car and feeling tempted to dash out and about will be what you need. Just enjoy being waited on and fed for a few days.

Glad Ady has given in. :+1:

Have a good break Carol, time to relax and enjoy yourself.

Good morning all.
First I will also wish Carol to have a good rest and enjoy your break.
I have just been to Sainsburyā€™s for my weekly shop.
It was almost empty and I got everything on my list and a few other bits.
Now wondering what to do next.
Been out earlier as usual with Minnie around the fields. That really wakes me up, as I can now walk at a fast pace.

Good news Emjay. You seem to have recovered well from the knee op.

Just made a bread pud, that is in the oven in two foil trays, and I am having a cuppa. Lot of washing just done. Opened a tin of chocolate biscuits from M&S - a gift - rather disappointing as only two varieties.
