Morning all, its cold, frosty and icy outside.
Just a visit to see Janet this morning and that’s it for the day.
Have a good day all.

Morning all.
Good morning all.
That horrible white slippery stuff started to melt yesterday, but it froze in the night.
Crunchy underfoot, as I did my morning stroll with Minnie.
I don’t mind as it improves my knee with the walk. I am still doing the recommended exercises.
Nothing active planed for today. I shall finish watching a series on Netflix, read my story on the kindle, make lunch, and no I will not watch the football. There might be some rugby somewhere.
Good morning everybody.
Just a slow walk to our local co-op this morning for a few bits & pieces.
After that - just taking it easy.
Have a good day all…
Good morning all.
Hooray. The white stuff has gone. It rained yesterday afternoon and the temperature rose, so that sorted the ice and what was left of the snow.
Part of the field was flooded this morning, but easily avoided.
Of to Sainsbury’s shortly.
Good morning all.
Not sure what I shall do today, whether to do a supermarket visit for one or two bits. I will decide in a while. Still having breakfast.
Might be an idea for me to see what I have and what I need. Milk, definitely.
I took Holly out early this morning, seeing as I refused her last walk last night in the rain. We had got wet on the 6pm one (I didn’t know it was raining till I got to the front door), so later I just let her out the back for a wee. I thought, she either gets me up in the night for another visit, or she doesn’t. And she didn’t, love her.
Morning all. Gotta taxi my daughter to work and my wife + friends out for a Christmas meal later.
Apart from that, will finish off a small diy job that can be done now the frost has gone.
Nothing else planned.
Morning everybody.
I’ve got my son in law Nim here this morning trying to sort a leaky toilet pipe out for me.
He’s a keen DIYer but I fear I may have to get a qualified plumber!
The insurance pay out for my car accident has come through & I’ve been offered £7,000 for the value of my Fiesta.
Just to cheer myself up Tony & I may go to the car sales this afternoon to see what we can get in that price range.
I have no intention of rushing into buying one yet - If/when I do, it will be the new year.
No harm in looking though!!
Have a good day all…
If your son needs help with the plumbing, he could ask on here:wink:
Are you going to accept that, Carol? At least you will have a budget in mind when looking.
Having a quick nosey based on Carol’s reg, but without knowing any other specifics like mileage, engine size, model etc, £7k may not be too far off the mark.
That sounds good then, Dex.
Put in your car info to "We buy any car " and you will get an idea of value, Insurance hope most accept
first offer thats usually lower than true value IMO
Yes I’ve accepted the £7,000. If I can get a car 6 years old - same age as my Fiesta. I will be happy.
Looked round a small car sales this afternoon but saw nothing suitable…
Morning folks.
That’s a shame, Carol, but maybe by the time you are ready for the road again something will come up.
Cafe group this morning, but no other plans for me today. Must get my black bin out first, though, now it is full.
Good morning everybody.
My aganda for today is to accompany Tony to the dentists. We can’t get him on as a NHS patient anywhere so we’ve settled for having the old dentures mended (if it can be done) This is going to cost us a mere £200!!
As it is in a town 10 miles away, Ady & Paula are taking us.
I have also asked Ady if he will take me to the cemetery so I can take a wreath to my parents & grandparents graves.
Also I am hoping there will be time for him to take me to Tesco. I have to do everything I can whilst I have a car at my disposal!!
This will give him a taste of my needs. Maybe he will change his mind about me having another car. I hope so.
My confidence is returning & I know I want another car - just got to break the news to Ady. I know he will not be pleased…
That certainly will show him, Carol! But it all has to be done, so hopefully, yes, he will come round to your way of thinking. Be as independent as you can, for as long as you can. And as you have said before, they haven’t all always been available to take you places (ill health, work, circumstances).
Good luck Carol…I think as you say showing how much you rely on your car might change his mind.
Good morning all.
Not too cold now but damp everywhere.
Just netted another dead fish from the pond, also one of the frogs.
One job for today is to find the family history documents.
I had to change the envelope that it was in, as it was getting torn, and put them into another. Where it has gone, I do not know. Well it has to be on the shelf with all the other stuff. It was done professionally by my brother some years ago, and we both had a copy.
I bought some chicken thighs yesterday from Sainsbury’s, and I am going to cook them in the air fryer. Under my daughters instructions.
Good morning all.
Off out at 8am to do our weekly shopping.
Have a good day all.
