Good morning all.
Not so good here. Misty and it is cold. I don’t know where the forecasters get their info from, saying that it is above temperatures for the season.
In my little pond where I put the frog spawn from the big pond earlier this year. (Because the fish eat the young tadpoles). The tadpoles are not progressing into frogs. There are a few that have back legs. But they should have all changed by now. I wonder if the changing climate has something to do with it?
I have considered making a tiny pond over the allotment, using a plastic basin, or whatever I can find.
It has been mild here.
Went to start my car earlier, to meet sis and niece in Tesco and my car wouldn’t start. They came to me, got it jump started, and I was able to continue with plans. Did a shop, went to sis’s house for a coffee, meet niece’s in laws, and to cuddle the baby. Got some smiles from her. 2 months old. Had to come home and cook my roast, they were just starting their veg, hence Tesco trip. The in-laws weren’t really expected for lunch.
Late eating mine, but worth it. Yum.

Don’t think there will be anything done today on the plot. We have rain forecast for the day. I’ve got stuff that can be done indoors. Tomorrow being Writing Group Check-in day, I could switch the PC on, do a bit more to my latest project so I have something to report.
Also must do a clothes wash. Would put the dehumidifier on to help dry the washing and keep dampness down. Or hang the expense and use the tumble dryer.
Having had two roast meals these past couple of days, I need to think of something different for my main meal. Spose I could defrost a portion of bolog sauce, cooked recently. Edit, just got one from the freezer.
Right, that’s breakfast finished. Dog walk soon.

I had that as well yesterday Eliza. My post had to be verified by a moderator. I wrote it in the morning and it finally got approved in the afternoon.

The weather here is very foggy or Misty. What is the difference? I suppose fog is man made, and mist is nature.
I had to phone my surgery early this morning for a phone appointment, on my Dr request via a text. Got next Monday at 0830.
Right. Time to go to Sainsburys for my weekly shop. This afternoon my daughter and I are going to Costco. All I need is a big jar of cashews, and a large pot of set honey, until I see other things.

Ive been taking advantage of FMP free viewing at the weekend and its thrown up a story of interest in the Newspapers of long ago , 1972 +1951…
The 1972 is none other than an advert my hubby had put in the local paper to sell his car which was a Hillman Minx… It brought back memories of it and that time …
The 1951 was about my Father driving a Car not fit for the road …
Did you know theres an Egg shortage ? yes I had trouble to find a complete box on my shopping trip , looking online theres talk of no eggs for Christmas …

@Jazzi Ive always got a tray of water down , for the birds , they love to splash and bathe in it … a small pond would encourage Frogs , needed for slug control .

Got Lady coming down at 9.30am to cut my toe nails, then at 10am got a gentleman from Andersons to measure up all my windows in the house, we are having Shutters.

Well if it’s raining here I’d best stay home, maybe do some more writing on the PC. Or I could go off to the retail park after cafe meet, Holly is due flea treatment and I’m not sure I have any left.
Instead of going out yesterday to the allotment in that glorious weather, I stuck myself indoors, writing. But was very pleased with how much I got done.

Just not going to do much, I might just read the story that I am into on my kindle. ‘World without end’ the second book of a series. Also downloaded the newest one that is the beginning of the story of the first one.?

I’ve just had a chat via facetime with Paula, Ady & Josh who are currently in Iceland hoping to see the Northern Lights.
There they were in an outdoor thermal bathing pool bobbing up & down in the water & talking & waving to me. Paula said the water was really warm but outside the temperature was really cold!! … I am still puzzling how she could have taken her phone into the water?
It brought back memories of when Tony & I were in Iceland 20 years ago…
It’s raining quite hard here so no chance of a short walk but couldn’t anyway. I am expecting a plumber this afternoon to fix me a new kitchen mixer tap, bleed the radiators & look at a possible blockage in the bathroom wash basin. The water goes down very slowly & Mr Muscle hasn’t worked.

I had a bad night again last night so at 3.00am I decided to make a shopping order out for Morrisons courtesy of a free trial of Amazon prime. I must remember to cancel it before the trial period is up! It suits me very well seeing as I’m not allowed to drive until four weeks after my heart attack.
Today I want to make a big pan of chicken stew & dumplings and get the rooms I’m having decorated cleared & ready for them to start work on Monday. I need to get it done now as I don’t know how I’ll be after I have my angiogram tomorrow. I have been told I just have to take it easy for a day or two.
I may go a short walk round the village with Tony & pop a letter of complaint into the post box addressed to Derby Royal Hospital. I didn’t like the way I was treated in there following my heart attack. I wasn’t going to make a fuss but a nurse from another hospital told me I ought to. That they like to know about such things…
@eliza Yes Paula must have had a waterproof cover on the phone. That girl can’t go anywhere without her phone. She dropped it down the toilet a few weeks ago!!!
