I had a broken night too , so woke up hungry made some Toast and Tea at 4am ,had a read and fell back to sleep till 9am , Ive rushed round dressing .
I may get a visit from the local Gas boiler service man today , he just drops by once you ring him …
Very mild outside , so got my windows open …

I’m feeling a bit washed out today, so on the advice of a nurse from the British Heart Foundation who phoned me yesterday I shall potter about the house for half an hour & then go back to bed.
Once again Ady is coming to the rescue by taking Tony a walk this afternoon & call at the local pub with him.
I might have a walk down the garden path.

As usual laundry is in the machine, Minnie and I have been out.
Daughter has just phoned and told me we are going to Debden shopping mall shortly.
I hope she don’t drag me to Nandos for lunch. I have had so much chicken lately, I think I am growing feathers.

Daughter Sue is calling this morning to tell us all about her recent holiday in Portugal and to do some shopping for me.
I’ve still got the pneumonia cough & aching ribs though I feel a bit better in myself.
I shall go another 10 minute slow walk round the park with Tony but I will be mostly resting in bed. I feel so absolutely tired.

Yes it is raining here, but a man’s got to do what a man’s got to do. Well I ain’t got a woman to do it for me.
Bracing the elements, Minnie and I did our walk around the fields. So we got a bit wet.
Jobs for today. Make a bread, cut up the remains of the chicken that my daughter gave me, put it into bags and in the freezer for Minnie’s dinners.
It’s only 0825, why do they mess about with the clocks going back and forwards?

Heavy Footsteps ,Bad smells .Do I believe it ? … Well when we inherited this Property , I often had a smell of Cigarettes smoke , my MIL smoked heavy …That was the only experience …
And I slept in the Bedroom my FIL died just 7 months before .
The Fireworks started last night the biggest bangs Ive ever heard , my dog was terrified . Why are such fireworks allowed . They should ban the loud ones … I remember growing up with what I call normal fireworks , They are fine .

Daughter Karen is coming soon with some shopping & to help me with a few domestic problems.
I am once again taking it easy, keeping warm & keeping to my bed (mostly)
I still have cough & ribs ache from the pneumonia but I believe it can linger for weeks.

I bought a Dog Crate yesterday, Im hoping that will give my dog some where to hide when the fireworks go off , Ive had to stop her getting in the Wardrobe and try to dig holes in every room .
She slept in it all night , door open … pleased about that ,
We had a monsoon down pour yesterday ,while out shopping ,not been in that much rain in a long time .

Somebody posted on FB this morning, from my old home town, that they bore scratches from where they’d tried to restrain and help their dog during fireworks, and sarcastically thanking those responsible. Seems their pet has an extremely bad reaction to the noise. Hope you and yours can get through it, Eliza.
Might do a Tesco run this morning, and get back to the writing. I finished a library book yesterday, so can start another. Which reminds me, they all need renewing but I think a visit to the branch won’t be till Wednesday the earliest.
Damn, looks like I can’t renew online so will need to go today. Some have reserves on them.

Blue sky and sunshine here at the moment, and it was nice just to be able to ‘stroll’ around the fields with Minnie.
Off to Sainsbury’s shortly for my things that I need. I might try their DIY scan system. My daughter tried it and said it was so easy.
The photo that could not be loaded. It was a reminder to put your clocks back. But it was a car speedometer with the milage being put back.
Did I mention that I can now use my exercise bike. It’s a bit of pain, but can’t yet ride any of my other bikes such as the Brompton.

I’m having a nice easy day indoors (as usual)
I managed to put some washing in the machine. Got a nice ironing lady coming tomorrow to collect it for ironing. My daughter & daughter in law did offer to do the ironing for me but I declined. I know how busy they are & I like to save their help for my more urgent needs.
Sue is coming to take Tony a walk to the local shops for a few bits & bobs & to call at the chemist for me…
Tony & I are managing ok between us. I give the instructions & he does the work! lol

Rain, sunshine, clouds, blue sky, and wind. I have had all this so far this morning. But my gods, whoever they are must have been looking after Minnie and I as we did our morning stroll. Just the sunshine and wind.
I had a rotten lousy night, so I feel tired. I am not going out to the bowls club.
I shall just sit here and feel sorry for myself.
