I thought I might buy a Air Fryer , not for myself but a presant for someone else , well it seems theres not a Ninja in my local area .Even have to be on a queue list and be notified .
Looking on Ebay and theres a Guy selling them from his Kitchen , for £50 more than in the shops . It seems theres some out to make a fast buck .
I wonder if Royal Mail are shooting themselves in the foot , with all these strike days , Online shops will turn more to White Van deliveries , I much Prefer Hermes to RM.
I say this cause im waiting for a parcel delivered by RM.
Morning all, not much happening here, just macaroni cheese to cook for lunch and then I have to pick up a parcel and deliver it to my daughter, so I may call in on my Mum on the way back.
Having bought a 4L Tower fryer (with the drawer) I am now on a FB group, and lots of members bemoan the fact that they have missed the boat by not getting one sooner. They are now out of stock in most places, and rising in price. I am used to this model and type, and don’t really need the larger one. Pffft, couldn’t get one even if I wanted to.
Good morning all.
Bright here at the moment.
Off soon to the indoor bowls club. ( Short mat)…
I have 2 hot air fryers. There is so much that you can do with them. You can also do roast chestnuts.
In case anyone is interested, there is a partial eclipse of the sun occurring in the Northern Hemisphere right now, visible from the UK, Europe, and parts of North Africa.
It’s lovely and clear by here on the Somerset Riviera and is due to reach maximum coverage at about 11 am.
Carol one thing I learned from my cancer is that morbid thoughts actually interfere with your ability to get better (my oncologist’s words, not mine) so throw them out of the window!
I know the coughing and discomfort makes you feel exhausted, but positive thoughts about what you are going to do when you are better really help. The coughing continues for a couple of weeks after the infection has cleared, but that is just to clear any rubbish that may be irritating your lungs.
Get plenty of rest & speak to a doctor if you are not seeing any improvement in how you feel… that is what they are there for!
If you can, watch TV, a film or even read a book/magazine, because it may help you to stop thinking miserable thoughts…and anyway we haven’t given you permission to stop chatting!
Take advantage of being able to put yout feet up for a while!
Hope all you poorlies, and there seems to be a fair few of you, either ill or have injuries, are feeling better.
We were talking about my nose op last night at writing group and our hostess mentioned, other than that it has healed nicely, that I now have a confidence about me. And I demonstrated, with my hands over my face, saying ‘cos I no longer have to sit like that!’
I have no specific plans for today, it being free. I will see what happens hour by hour.
Good morning all
It mild out and low risk of rain so washings out on the line blowing in the wind .
Today I have a collection , so have to stop in till they have taken it … (Car Wheel with Tyre on )
Wishing everyone good health ,Have a wonderful day
My Christmas plant is budding , pleased that its not died , I mostly kill house plants , unintentionly.
Good morning all.
Weather here looks good at the moment, but must remember that it is still October and anything can happen.
I got my latest bill from my energy suppler, and with the increase and the government allowance, it ain’t too bad. In fact I will be in credit.
Off shortly to the coffee and chat morning, but got to wait for a bread to Finish before I go.
Good afternoon everybody. I’ve only just risen from my bed.
My temperature is down but I’m still full of aches & pains especially my ribs & my cough.
I’m going to make an effort to get dressed this afternoon and go a very short walk with Tony round the park that backs on to our house. Whether I’ll make 100 yards is anybody’s guess!!
I’m so tired all the time so may well go back to bed after our little walk.
It’s nice & sunny here. I hope you all are having a good day…
Carol, pleased you are taking little steps in your recovery. You’ll know when you can do things, and when to rest.
Today, apart from awaiting window cleaner, I will be finishing off a dvd of family video clips, as my sister is seeing her youngest D over the weekend and would like to take the disc with her. My niece is (im)patiently waiting to see herself when young, especially when we did the tiger photo shoot. Sis was watching that a few weeks ago and screeching whenever Khan turned his head toward’s niece’s face, or laid a massive paw on her knee (she just calmly lifted it off and made a face to the camera). I said, look, nobody was attacked, or hurt, and that had she been there, still screeching, I am sure she would have panicked Khan and actually caused an accident. Glad it was just me and my parents. I believe he was 10 months old and still a cub.
I shall also do another roast dinner. Had one yesterday and it was so yummy. I do love going out to a carvery now and then but firmly believe my own are the best. Minted lamb swirls today.
I’m keeping myself busy today by doing some editing on my heart attack blog. It’s had an interesting response so far & I hope to post the rest of it in the health forum later. I called it ‘Diary of a heart attack’ original eh? lol
It’s been quite therapeutic writing it.
No other plans for today. Daughter Karen is coming to take Tony out to lunch & for a drink.
I shall just take it easy today - maybe do a bit of light dusting.
Morning all, sun is out, washing on the line.
Have already been to Aldi, to do our weekly shopping, back home now form the day.
Have a wonderful day all.
Good morning all.
A bit late this morning, but who’s counting?
My cleaner is not coming today as she is not well. That saves me £30 and I shall do some of it myself.
It just started to rain when I got back from my usual morning stroll with Minnie.
I had a chat with the groundsmen, who are doing the white lines of the football pitches. (5 of them). That’s pitches mot men.
Nothing yet planed, I expect that my daughter will come later.
Good morning all.
I saw some spots of rain on the window as I was about to go out with Minnie. So on went the waterproofs. Not needed as it did not rain.
Another bad night without much sleep. Before I had the knee done, I could sleep anywhere and anytime.
Plans for today? My daughter will be coming and lunch at Morrisons. Then dinner at her place later.
