Very cold here! And the dog took forever, and me walking her round and round the streets, before she would toilet. Had to get her sorted as being out this morning.

Have already been and done my weekly shopping, I will now get the bus at 10.10am and go into Town for a little while.

A stay at home day for me. Maybe wash the bed linen, give Holly her flea treatment, and look for jobs indoors. And look forward to relaxing on the sofa later with my book.
I know one thing I want to do and that is try to reach my cylinder carpet shampooer thatās in the shed. Itās behind a few other large items so it will be a scramble. I have the hoses and attachments in the spare bedroom. Think itās time I gave some rugs (and bedroom carpet) a clean. I had an upright Vax too but got rid of that when I had rubbish clearance recently. No point having the two.

I had two men knocking at my door last night in the dark , I shouted what is it they wanted , I wasnāt going to open the door to them, they were selling Pet food . Bella and Duke .
There should be a law against door knockers late at night .

When I took Holly out last night two blokes were talking in the alley. As one passed me he said there was a teenage boy, knocking at doors, claiming heād been beaten up, then robbing the households if he was invited in.
Criky, Jazz ā¦ I always look out my window first ā¦ If I dont know them I dont open the door , I shout through the window ā¦ Quite funny when they are looking where my voice is coming from .last night one said to the other I dont see herā¦

I can talk to strangers that come to my door through my security camera. That is mounted on the wall below the upstairs bedroom. They also often look around to see where the voice is coming from.
My daughter is coming soon to take me to visit a property that they want to move to in the future. Lots of land comes with it.

I have a Ring doorbell, or I look through the glass of the front door to see who is there. Quite often I ignore the doorbell, if Iām not expecting sister or a parcel. And definitely a no no during the darker hours.

Re: The gas/electricity. I was distraught when they put my monthly charge up to Ā£295 - this was double what I had been paying.
However my credit is slowly building up & as of this morning I am Ā£749 in credit! Feeling very pleased - that will pay for a twixtmas break at Warners for Tony & me (which I have just booked)
Going to Sainsburys this afternoon - no other plans.

I did put my heating on for an hour, just to take the chill off the house.
At the present time I donāt have any plans for today.
But as usual for a Saturday, I am doing my laundry.

Got up late today but no matter.
Yes Emjay, same here. Just turned mine off. Managed to go most of the night without any on, apart from an hour or so with the small oil filled rad by the bed. I can wrap up but itās the dog I worry about.
Depending on whether I can open up any windows later for airing, I might start washing some rugs in situ with the Vax shampooer. I have no need to do them all at once.

I couldnāt get to sleep last night - no reason, just couldnāt! Spent the night listening to music & reading.
I reckon I got two hours sleep - I finally got up about 5.00am for the need of a cup of coffee.
Just housework & car cleaning planned for today. (and maybe an afternoon nap)

Yes since my knee replacement. I also have not been sleeping well.
I have tried all recommendations without success.
I thought with all the walking that I did yesterday, 2.3 miles, and the exercises that I have to do for my knee, I thought that I was bound to sleep.
But no. Even after a hot shower, and a couple of paracetamol, no luck. I do manage to doze off but then get woken with the need of the toilet.
I have decided that if I feel that I can have a nap in the afternoon, I shall. I have not been doing this as I thought that I would sleep better at night. WRONG.
