I’ve got a handyman coming around 9.00am to fix me some internal door locks.
I really believe this one will come because he texted me last night to say he’d got to pick the locks up & would be with me just after 9.00am.
Fingers crossed!!
My upper arm is aching quite badly from the covid jab yesterday - a quiet day today I think.
Tony is over the gout so we might go a walk round the local pond.
Josh had a lovely birthday. He’s a very lucky boy.

My Covid jab made me very tired.

My daughter gave me some stuff to put under the tongue, and also a spray for the pillow. “That will help you sleep” she said. Might for millions, but not for me. I might of headed for the land of nod, but Minnie decided she wanted to go out a 12.45am.
Fortunately I am past the stage where I need pillows under the offending knee. It is much better that I can lie on either side of it. I did use an inflatable pillow that my daughter got for me at times.
Plans for today. ??? So I will just let it happen.
It rained in the night, and there were just a few lingering spots when I went on my usual stroll with Minnie a short while ago.

Sitting on the sofa after having my cuppa, too cold to move. Got to get the rubbish bin out into the alley very soon, or at least before I do dog walk/go to the cafe, in case bin men are early.
Repeat meds to pick up from the pharmacy. And writing group this evening. If I have time this afternoon I could cobble together something to email to the others, but if not, will just go, show my face. I didn’t bother going last meeting, was too tired.

Lady coming this morning to cut my toe nails, then off to Gorleston to do some shopping.

I have or had, a bit of sunshine, with a cold wind, and as I came back with Minnie after our stroll, a few spots of rain.
I shall be going to Sainsbury’s with my daughter later for our weekly shop.
Later this afternoon I have my cleaning lady bringing me some fish from her pond for my pond. She is closing down her pond.

It’s nice & bright here today. Tony & I are going to the insurance brokers to renew our household insurance.
I don’t bother searching the net for anything cheaper. This company are so good. When we were burgled they came to out house & helped all they could - ordering locks to be changed etc. The lady who came even calmed us down & made cups of tea…
Tony also wants a walk round the park this afternoon.
We are out with Ady & Paula for a meal tonight.

I had a text from my friend Chris last night to say she’s made up with a cough & cold so won’t be meeting me today.
Tony is going out with Ady as usual on a Weds so it leaves me at a loose end.
I don’t mind though - it will give me a chance to have a good house clean. We are going to Skegness for the weekend on Friday & the house must be left clean! lol

Lady at the cafe said her next bill has dropped to £22. My energy provider is taking £67 something each month but we will see what the bill costs actually are before I take any action. I am still over £200 in credit.
Enjoyed the writing group last night as only 3 of us. The lady of the house was in bed unwell so her partner hosted, and there was me and the other lady. We did get to read our work and had a lot of laughs, talking about roller coasters and fun fairs. Left there at 9, nowhere to park in my road, at all, so I will see what room there is during the day and move it closer.
Might get the hoover out today. Such exciting times!

Just done my morning stroll with Minnie.
I am off shortly to the Wednesday club.
So it has been 6 weeks since my knee replacement, and today is the last day that I have to wear those compression stockings. Hooray.
Got another session with the physio this evening at the hospital.
Crikey Emjay I gave up on those compression stockings after three days… !
Morning all, cold again here but hopefully may see the sun later.
We have bathed Oscar this morning and I have cleaned the bathroom. Just enjoying a cappuccino now before going down to collect my Jeep which has just passed the MOT with no work to do… phew that’s a relief…

I went and had my C.Booster yesterday , my arm is fine , only side effect was same as before , as soon as I was home I fell asleep .
Its been raining here and i think we are still in for some more .

My Covid booster last week made me very tired. Having the shingles jab this morning.
Afterwards I might go off to Dunelm. I want a heavy curtain. Petrol and some shopping at Asda next door.
Then I might get a cheeky McDonalds to bring home.

We’ve had overnight rain & there are still some black clouds. Not looking very promising for the weekend!
I’m off to Skegness tomorrow for a few days with Tony. Check in isn’t until 3.00 so I don’t plan on leaving very early. I haven’t had any sea air since before covid. Just hoping it will brighten up.
Not looking forward to driving all that way with sciatica but will dose myself up with painkillers…
Today will be spent packing & a bit of shopping for luxuries we take with us…
