Thanks Eliza and Susie. The stinging is still there, but it is bearable. Maybe another day and I can ‘get it wet’, and hopefully wash some of the blood away. For now, I am keeping it dry, as instructed.
I have had a full day, plus a half, doing very little, also as advised, so will start doing stuff from today. I must change my bed sheets.
Dog is downstairs now so expect I should get her out.
Good morning all.
Up and raring to go. Go? Where?
Been out with Minnie as usual, fed the fish, and now thinking of taking the car out for a check ride, as It has not been used for 5 weeks.
I managed to walk round the field without using the crutch, although I had it with me. .62 of a mile.
I have my booster jab booked for 29th this month.
I expect like the rest of the country I shall be glued to the TV later, for as long as I can bare it.
No plans here either, but I will probably potter about in the garden this afternoon. We watched some of the service and procession whilst having lunch and that was enough for me, a sad occasion certainly but couldn’t we celebrate her life after the service too, that downbeat tuneless music really depressed me and life’s too short to watch that all day…
I watched the Funeral for 3 hrs and that was enough for me, I felt sorry for the Williams two children doing all that walking and the music was to depressing for me, I did see at one stage William in tears and Katie handing him tissues.
Noticed Edward wiping his eyes and trying to find a dry spot on his hanky. Sure I caught Andy glancing at him.
Watched most of it till they left for Windsor. Yes, the music was too depressing.
George and Charlotte were little angels. Meghan, on the other hand, starting walking behind the coffin with her hands in her pockets. I screamed at the telly at this.
Well I watched it all, as I had nothing else that I could do.
It was a one off thing, and I don’t think it will happen again for a long time.
Thinking about it all, what other country could put on such a fantastic ceremony?
It’s certainly been a long and tough ten days for the royals, they must be exhausted!
Morning everyone, a sleepless night here hence the early look around the forum. Later on I have a couple of odd jobs to do at my daughter’s house but nothing too heavy and should be finished by lunchtime, then I can potter in my garden for awhile this afternoon.
I totally agree everyone did well yesterday and it was a day to be proud of , the two young Royals George and Charlotte especially .
I think the Royal family must be feeling exhausted now , and the next week should be for them to be away from the glare of the public .
Good morning all.
I also did not have the usual TV on for long. BBC. It’s a repeat of yesterday, history.
A bit of a drama for my daughter’s Father in law as he was taken to hospital yesterday morning. He was sicking up blood. They are going to Chuck a camera down his throat today to see what’s going on.
Did I tell you in the past, that they live in the same road as I.
I have been out with Minnie, and it was not as easy today, and had to use the crutch more.
I am going to venture out to Sainsbury’s later for a few bits.
I did take the car out yesterday, as it had been stuck in the garage for 5 weeks. Just a short drive to get it up to full working temperature, and back home.
I have been let down by the handyman who was coming to fix me some door locks.
3 times something urgent popped up for him & 3 times he re-arranged with me. In the end I gave up. Now I’ve got to find somebody else.
No plans for today. I’ll see what Tony wants to do when he gets up at his usual time of 10.30.
A neighbour asked why today a kept running over on foot across a bit of paper. So I explained to him on the paper there was some writing which said " tear across dotted line"
