I shall be walking the Cromford canal this morning with Chris.
I’m not too pleased with her because she booked to go see ‘The Thursford Spectacular’ with her sister when she knew I wanted to go. Before covid she & I went every year for three successive years. She didn’t tell me she was going with her sister. I found out by accident. That’s not a way for a ‘friend’ to act…
Last night at dinner with Ady & Paula I told them about how Chris had treated me & straight away Paula said ‘I’ll go with you Carol’ and Ady said to Tony ‘We can have a nice day together can’t we?’ Oh my lovely family. I am so lucky.
I had made my mind up that I wasn’t bothered about going but Paula was so enthusiastic that I will be ringing the coach company later today to see if they have any tickets left.
The sciatica in my leg has been giving me some problems in the night. I shall have to dose up with painkillers before I meet Chris for the walk.
I plan on doing a load of ironing when I get back if I’ve got the energy.

Morning everyone, raining here too but a trip to Brownsea Island booked for this morning so just hoping the rain eases somewhat. Just thankful we packed our coats and hats!

I just could not find a comfortable position for the replacement knee leg last night in my bed… I was so angry, that I went down and slept on the couch. I only woke up once in the night, and again at 0630.
This morning I an going to the ‘Coffee and chat’ group. I feel comfortable that I could drive there, but my daughter says no.
So she is going to take me and then come and pick me up when ready to go. Or I might get a lift from one of the ladies that goes my way.
You soon learn who your real friends are Carol.

After reading the over 65s can now book for the Covid Booster , I rang my local Chemist who is doing them , to be told I have to go through the NHS111 number to book an appointment , and they are booked up till November .
I really wanted it doing before I go to the Theatre next week , I shall have to double mask while there to protect myself .

Morning everyone, had my covid booster invitation yesterday so booked an appointment for a couple of week’s time, no problems…
Our last full day in Dorset today and lunch in the pub with yet more relatives so we will have caught up with most of them for another year, and heading home then tomorrow.

Last night i decided to go through NHS appointments and found a chemist in town doing CB made an appointment for 2 weeks time , Im not having the Flu jab at the same time , I shall go for that in a months time , I dont want to over load my body.

My sis and BiL returned home from their cruise on the 13th, both poorly. Sis very sore throat, BiL tested positive for Covid. So she has rung me yet for a chat. I said in my text that as I was falling asleep on my feet I could wait.
Housework today.

I am trying to book my booster, but the options that they give me are not accessible in my present condition.
Saying that, I went and had another physio session yesterday, she was very pleased with my progress and said that I am weeks ahead of normal.
I am still not sleeping well, as I find it difficult to get a comfortable position for the KRL (Knee replacement leg).
I have been out with Minnie on my own, and I have to use only one crutch, which I did.
My daughter is not staying with me now, and as she said, “I am surplus to requirements”. She will be coming here later, and we will be going to Morrison for lunch.

A chilly morning ,the temps are dropping , time to get warmer clothing out and put an extra layer on the bed .
A food shop arriving this morning , ive Chicken drum sticks in the oven cooking nicely, they will go with creamed mash potatos and Veg.
I need to go in the loft to get the warmer curtains down , .

I wore a coat for the evening dog walk, then put my electric blanket on for a few minutes. Definitely getting colder. AND I had my mini oil heater on in the bedroom for most of the night.
Maybe into town today, for the library.

I am just back from the first walk of the day with Minnie around the field.
Sleeping is still uncomfortable and I wake a few times in the night.
Weather here is also colder. Time to put away the summer clothes, and out come the thermals.
Nothing yet planed, but I expect my daughter will have a few when she comes here.
Morning all, it rained last night, sunny this morning but quite cold, have got my jumper and joggers on this morning, went and did our weekly shopping, that’s it for the day.
Might buy a fleece jacket tomorrow morning, only a light weight one as I already have heavy winter jackets.

I have just removed my bathroom compact fluorescent bulb as it went last night. Had thought of getting a handyman but realised I could do a diy job. Hardest part was unscrewing the outer covering because of the fitting’s close proximity to the bath (no space to manoeuvre a step ladder). Managed to get it off, remove bulb and order the new one on Amazon. Getting it delivered (tomorrow) to my local shop/hub, in case it arrives when I am at the hospital. Yes, I was careful and took it slowly.
So if it’s raining, that takes care of plans to go out. Harrumph!!

I must admit I’m not feeling the cold yet. I must be hot blooded.
(or more likely a side effect of the steroids I take for PMR)
Well, today a change of plan. I was due at my aqua fit class this morning but I didn’t get to sleep till gone 3.00am & then I overlay!!
Not to worry - a trip to Aldi is needed and then I plan on getting in the garden. It’s a disgrace - I’ve neglected it lately…
I’ll get Tony out there with me - he needs some exercise.
