Just to say I have no phone signal in the caravan, so doing everything quickly while home before dropping the dog down the road,
I am not paying £10 for their internet for the short time I will actually be in there.

I’ve had my grandson Josh overnight - he was up early & I feel quite groggy from watching over him. He’s very lively & quite naughty. I notice he’s broken the tail off the glass duck in my bathroom & been inside my display cabinet moving things around…
We’re taking him home after lunch & then going to our granddaughter’s because it’s her hubby’s birthday.
I’m longing for a peaceful rest but I think it will be late afternoon before I get one.

Just back from the morning stroll with my daughter and Minnie.
Again done the circuit of the big field and a bit of the small one. At times I was not using the crutches. I am now at the stage where I do not use them or the Zimmer in the house. Just limp everywhere.
Sleeping is the problem, as it is difficult to find a comfortable position for the leg.

I spent last night on my own as my daughter had to take her car in for a service and other bits early this morning.
So she stayed at her home last night.
No dramas here last night and managed to do what needed to be done.
I have not yet been out around the mosquito infested field yet. I will have to wait for my daughter to come.
In all the years that I have walked that field in the past, I have never been bothered by mosquitoes. But this year they are about, and have the itchy bumps to prove it.
Hopefully my daughter is going to get some spray repellent.

Bad night. I just could not get to sleep. At 1 am I went down and had a cuppa and a chocolate biscuit.
When I went back up I think I managed to get a couple of hours. This is very unusual for me.
I think I am healing nicely. Although I still use the crutches when I go out for a walk around the field, I can walk without them ok. Just a security sort of thing.
I don’t use them in the house.
My daughter is not staying with me at nights now, and she says that, she is surplus to requirement.
I think she is going to drag me out to Sainsburys later.
Morning everyone from a dull and wet Dorset, which is the complete opposite to what was forecast over the last few days, but why am I surprised …?
Anyway, the spirit isn’t dampened and we are going to visit relatives at their new house later before lunch out somewhere, so the weather won’t bother us whatever it does.
Sounds like good progress @Emjay , great to hear that you are healing nicely and sounds like you’ll soon be full steam ahead…

Slammed the car boot lid down on my forefinger, this morning.
Now I can’t pick my nose.
So, tomorrow, I’ll go to the local nose shop and let the staff pick me a nose!
