Morning all,
Clear and bright at the moment, but rain forecast later this afternoon. So needed though, we had a real downpour yesterday, so refreshing.

@Eliza what an awful thing to happen, that poor fellow and his family :cry:
@Emjay will be thinking of you today, hope all goes well for you.

Well the mattress shopping on Tuesday didn’t happen, because as the morning wore on I really didn’t feel well, so called it off. I ended up in bed all afternoon, which seemed to do the trick and I felt better for it. So we were going to go yesterday instead, but then there was a nasty accident on the A38, which closed the road. Hopefully nothing will prevent us going today!

Good morning everybody.

I’m finding my sciatica very painful so taking it easy today.

I plan on having a soup making day - lentil , minestrone. My two favourite soups.

The rest of the time I will be relaxing with my book.

Tony is out with Ady today so I will have the house to myself.

@Eliza - I hope the roofer gets back to you.
In my experience they don’t want to know if anything goes wrong.

So sorry about the young man who was drowned…

Cool and overcast here. Had a couple of my tuttees reporting in on their A level maths results (an A and a B, with one to go).

Couple of tuitions later then out for a drive anywhere, just to get out for a bit. Nothing major planned.

Good morning everybody.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery Emjay.

My main priority today is to get a plumber. We haven’t got any hot water at all.

The plumber who installed the combi boiler has ignored my calls & texts. I had a lot of trouble with him when he installed it in April this year & I had intended taking him to court but in the end I didn’t bother - I took ill & it was too much hassle.

My son in law is coming to look at it for me. He will advise if I need to get a plumber or if it’s simple he might do it for me.

I was looking forward to going to aqua fit today at the local pool but now won’t be able to go anywhere.

Everything cancelled until we get some hot water.

Good to see you posting, Emjay, but your bed looks like it is facing the wall! Get well soon. Any idea how long you need to stay in for?

Carol, good luck getting your boiler fixed. Last thing you need is more hassle.

Staying home with the dog today, keep her company, but haven’t yet worked out what will get done indoors/outdoors. Taking the day bit by bit.

Good to see @Emjay had the OP and it didnt get cancelled .

My monthly call with the nurse yesterday brought not so good news the Surgeon who was going to do mine as gone off sick and is not coming back ,hes taking earley retirement .

@carol hope you get the boiler working , it might be soon you wont be able to afford put it on …

@Dextrous63 my Grandson got 3 Bs hes got a Job lined up .

nothing planned for me , i may go another walk ,

No luck with the hospital for my minor surgery. Could be another 4 weeks. Tried the sympathy card, saying I was hoping to have had it done by my birthday, so I can celebrate. Nope, nothing doing. Also said I can’t blow my nose. Nope. Staff on holiday or going off sick. Right.

@carol to replace my Heart Valve and an Aneurysm next to my heart . Ive been monitored yearly for the past 15 years , The Operation was going ahead in 2020 but got Canceled cause Hubby was Terminal ill and I was his carer.

They took the dressing off this morning. As you can see it I very swollen. They had me walking with a Zimmer frame yesterday and again today. A bit further each day.
Staying in for 3 nights, so home on Sunday.
They would not cancel as i went

Just catching up after being out most of the day. @Emjay good to see you posting. Looks as if the op was a success, nice neat wound. Hope you manage to get some decent rest (and sleep!). Take it easy, Sunday will soon come round. Hope you’ve got someone to take care of you at home.

ive a parcel arriving by RM this morning . Im making sure Ive plenty of warm clothes this winter.
