I was up a bit late this morning so not done much yet. I’ve stripped the bed & got the washing machine going. Tony is feeling lifeless so I’ve left him lying down on the settee.
This afternoon I’m going to dead head my roses & generally have a tidy up in the garden.

Just back from my very short stroll with Minnie.
I am quite late this morning, but it don’t really matter.
I shall be going to Sainsbury’s shortly when I have rested my leg and the ache back of the knee goes.
I got my Blue badge on Saturday, so that will be good for easier parking, free of course.
Later I shall be giving myself a haircut. Not a lot to cut realy.
Morning all, we have some cloud cover at the moment, so it’s not quite as unbearable as I know it will be later on.
I have a hair appointment at 11.00, then back for lunch before going up to see Connie and let her out. Well, I say lunch, that is if I can eat anything - I keep feeling nauseous so we shall see. I had the smallest amount of breakfast cereal earlier, less than half my normal portion, and struggled to even finish that. Probably the heat, I don’t know.

Now I feel old! Just applied online for my new driving licence, applicable from age 70. Eeek. I shall cut up the old one and post it on the last dog walk. There is a collection at 9am.
But talking to two ladies in the cafe, they both said we have to pay. Excuse me? First I’ve heard. I wonder if they went on a scamming website, because there is nothing on the form, or online, that mentioned payment was needed. I know passports have to be paid for, but not a driving licence.
No, there is no charge. I didn’t have to pay for mine - I think you’re probably right about them using a different website.
Actually, the charge one of them mentioned, £17, is the one imposed for renewing a licence, but the one for drivers reaching 70, ie me, is free. I did a screenshot of the gov.uk page and emailed it to one of them.
The other lady reached 70 in January and still hasn’t received her new licence, ‘because of her complex health issues’, she told me. She had to get a note from the GP.

Afternoon all, cloudy this morning but clear sky now and quite hot again. I did few odd jobs earlier in the garden but I will stay in the shade now for the rest of the day whilst finishing my book, that’ll be quite strenuous enough methinks.

Found out today the flat I sold nearly 3 years ago…the young couple have upped to Wales, selling it to some young Asian guy. I was surprised. I know I shouldn’t still be attached to that flat, but I did live there for 25.5 years.
There is another at the end of that block, been on market 3 months, with a horrifically short lease. Messaging friend who still lives there. I said, I reckon that is how mine sold again, as I had renewed mine, some years before. These ex neighbours of mine are going to find themselves stuck, or, as I mentioned to friend, I wonder if the flat valuation has reflected that? We were wondering on what the premium would be now. Sky high, probably. AND the vendor has to pay legal fees, both sides, for renewing lease, and for selling. Good luck with that!
Waiting for some rolls to cool, for lunch. Been on a short dog walk. Been messing about this morning, really, having another tidy in my back room, sorting out bits to take upstairs.

@Jazzi ,I think now days 3yrs is the going time for young uns at one property ,ive seen several new neighbours , and the turn over is 3 years .
