Good morning all .
a warm sunny day expected and more to come …
I had a visitor in the garden at 1.45 am ,when Ellie went out to toilet ,she was taken by surprise, i was watching from inside and saw her jump back ,she then kicked up a noise barking at it .
I had to hobble out and bring her in .
The visitor was a Hedgehog,a full grown big un .
Have a wonderful day
I have an appointment with the dental hygienist today . AI haven’t been for over a year ( normally I go every six months ) because my two previous appointments have been cancelled without notice .
Then it takes months to get another , so fingers crossed it will go ok today .
Morning to all, bright here first thing but clouded over now, although still pleasantly warm.
Back from our walk now and having a brew before I’m back in the kitchen batch cooking a vegetable curry for the freezer, which we will have for our lunch too no doubt. Nothing else planned so I may pick some more blackcurrants later if they’ve ripened up enough.
It’s Tuesday, which means bin out (done), cafe meet, email work to writing group members, then make my way to the meeting (which is tonight, and we alternate with emailing an update). Busy busy.
Not sorted out anything for lunch, which I prefer when going out as I don’t want to rush the meal before 6.30, and it’s always too late to eat afterwards.
Best get cracking. Time is getting on. Enjoy your day.
Good morning all.
Blue sky and sunny here.
Left knee is so painful and trying to get another injection from my GP.
My daughter phoned them a short while ago, and laid it on thick. (She is still on the IOW) So now waiting for a phone call from them.
I can only manage about 100 yards/metres on the field, and have to turn back.
Now waiting for the stiffness to ease, and off to Sainsburys for a few things. It’s easy there as I can just stop and rest at times if need be.
Suffer little children? Yea right. What about us old uns.
I managed to develop toothache in the night for some reason and I only had a check up two weeks ago, so sod’s law I guess! Anyway, I rang the dentist hoping to get an appointment in the next week or so but they happened to have a cancellation for later today, so hopefully I can get it sorted without that long and painful wait! Wish me luck!
So good news I hope, just some infection behind the tooth so antibiotics for seven days and hopefully it should settle down, but if it doesn’t he will take the tooth out as there is not enough tooth left to fill apparently, so fingers crossed the antibiotics work…
The sun is struggling vainly to get through the clouds. Hope it succeeds.
As I was out and about and busy yesterday, shall take it easier today. Tomorrow, after I drop Holly off at the groomers, I shall be busy. It’s all go.
No specific plans but might see what needs doing indoors. Don’t need to do any writing for a few days, in between library books, bed change won’t be done till tomorrow, as will the hoovering. No budget to go out shopping. Bought a litre of milk in the corner shop, and paid £1.35. Eeek. Still, better than going into town/to a SM and spending more and more on other bits.
I am still determined to rein back on my spend, and to stick to a weekly budget of sorts. Maybe after a few months of putting a good amount away to savings I will relax more. But with ever rising costs I am also looking into bargains. Talking to older sis the other day she agreed, she also loves a bargain. . I was totting up my spend over the course of a few months and was averaging £600-700/m, on goodness knows what! That was without the usual direct debits and utilities. So back to the budget. It’s quite fun, actually.
Good morning everyone, overcast here but pleasantly warm so no complaints.
Just finished clipping Oscar, after which Rosemary gave me a trim… people used to be quite shocked when I told them that I slept with my barber.
So my day will consist of picking blackcurrants and preparing them for the freezer, and then we are being taken out to the pub for lunch with Rosemary’s brother. I may have to have my meal liquidised though so that I can eat it with a straw, as my dodgy tooth is still rather sore and throbbing today, albeit no quite so much now the antibiotics and co-codamol seem to be kicking in.
Morning all, it’s a bit dull here at the moment, but sunshine is promised for later on.
Well thankfully I didn’t catch the bug that my granddaughter and daughter had. A couple of wobbly moments when I thought I felt a bit sick, but I’m sure that was just psychosomatic. They are both back at work/school today.
Washing’s on, nearly finished actually, so I’ll peg that out before I go and have a shower (can never have one until Mr B is up because both the hot and cold water tanks are in the airing cupboard in his room, and it’s a heck of noise when the hot tank refills)
@Barry I do hope the toothache becomes more manageable soon.
Good morning all.
Busy day for me today. I also have an appointment at the dentist at 1145am for the start of the procedure for a crown on the tooth that the filling kept falling out.
Then later at 1730 hrs, an appointment with my gp Dr who is going to give my dodgy knee an injection.
Yesterday I got a phone call from the hospital where I am having the knee replacement done. They gave me a date, 18th August. What? Now look here, as I am going private, and costing me mega bucks, I would have thought it would be done like tomorrow or at least next week.
I was also sent by email a form to fill out. Easy to do until the last page. Where they wanted the name of the hospital. Every name i wrote in was wrong.
So what was the answer?
Have a nice day all and hope it is better that what I will be having.
