Good morning all.
Almost 0900 and am I the only one alive today?
Nothing much going on,
Been to my daughters to feed her cat, took Minnie out., had my breakfast, but not in that order.
Nothing else planed yet, so might just take it easy.
Good morning all,
I went a lovely walk yesterday through fields of Gold , and Sheep with interesting views .
When we returned to the car we were glad it was parked in the shade but realised a window had been left open .
Have a wonderful day âŠ
Morning all.
No Emjay, I was actually lurking on here about 6.30. Drank my tea and came downstairs. Took dog out. Had breakfast. Not sure of order.
Went back to bed for a bit. Showered. Washing just finishing. Washed up. Sitting with a coffee.
Morning everyone, a bit like you @Jazzi - up early and lurking on here before showering, washing hair etc, then breakfast, and finally back here to join in.
Weâre off out in about 15 minutes to take daughter and granddaughter to Clip & Climb for granddaughterâs birthday party. She has 8 friends and family joining her, and will be wearing her new leggings and top I made her. She has absolutely no idea that her BFF will arrive wearing the same leggings and top (and neither does the BFF know that granddaughter has the same outfit!). I canât wait to see their faces!
Just hoping the weather will hold, as there is a bit of a walk from the car park to the venue, and the sky isnât looking too hopeful at the moment, so fingers crossed
Good morning everybody.
Tony & I have had a nice lie in bed drinking coffee & reminiscing. I like to see what he remembers & what he doesnât.
Iâm going to have my breakfast now & afterwards plan on more time spent in the garden. Lots to do.
I havenât got anything in for a meal - well I donât feel like cooking, so this evening weâll go to Wetherspoons with one of the free vouchers we had for Christmas.
Lovely pictures of your walk Eliza.
Have a good day allâŠ
Good morning all, beautiful morning here.
Off to do our weekly shopping this morning.
Have a nice day all.
Good morning all
went a walk yesterday and my Ankle went over , pain was enough to scream out ,and I finish up on the ground , Its swollen up and bruised , not sure if Ive broken something .
So im thinking of going to Hospital when I can arrange it , let them have a look at it .
Ive had a Text Scam this morning saying I need to pay ÂŁ1.45 to get my Parcel from EvriâŠlet them take a hike .
Its the first time ever Ive had one , bad luck comes in 3s ,so Ive one more thing to go wrong .
Have a wonderful day
Oh ElizaâŠhope the ankle isnât broken. Good luck getting it seen to, and hope you recover soon.
Morning all.
I hope that wind has eased. Wouldnât mind a library visit, as I have a feeling I have borrowed/read the rest of the books. Iâll get the bus and take my shopping trolley. I also need an onion, so I can have sausage and mash later.
PS, love the photos.
Carol, did you enjoy your meal out?
God morning all.
Maybe we should change the name of this thread, call it the âsick note groupâ.
It is very nice out at the present time. I have been out with Minnie but could not do the complete walk of the field. Once the pain in the knee starts, I then hobble back.
Nothing planed yet, but got to phone the dentist as that filling has come out again. I think I shall have to have a cap fitted as has been suggested. I wonder what thatâs going to cost?
Good morning everybody.
I need to go to Asda today to return some shirt blouses I ordered online. ÂŁ15 each & they are absolutely horrible!
Later I must do some housework - itâs been very neglected while I was ill.
Eliza it is so easy to turn ones ankle. Itâs happened to me a few times - once I broke it. You must elevate your ankle & put an ice pack on it - frozen peas are good. If it doesnât feel a bit better in a day youâve almost surely broken it & need to get off to A&E.
Janet - yes we enjoyed our meal thankyou. Afterwards, we went a walk round the park & bumped into an old friend I hadnât seen for a year. She was walking her dog. We had a nice catch up.
Have a good day allâŠ
Morning all, weatherâs a bit iffy today, dry and bright one minute, then showery. One of those days when you dare not go for a walk without at least an umbrella.
I was out early today to take my granddaughter to school - normally a neighbour takes her, but theyâve had sickness and diarrhoea in their household, and we didnât want her exposed to the bug unnecessarily. Also dropped off my daughter to her school first, so she avoided the showers. Granddaughter had a wonderful time at her birthday party yesterday, at the local Clip & Climb - she and her BFF were so delighted and surprised to see each other in the matching outfits Iâd made them!! Only difference was her BFFâs top was a lighter pink cos Iâd run out of the fuchsia.
Just got back from Hospital , and my Fibular is Broken , so with it being a break low down , Im wearing a Boot and im on crutches ,going to take 6 weeks to mend .
Got an appointment at another Hospital on Thusday , for a follow up .
Oh heck! Is there anyone to help you? Take care. X
Oh no! I hope you can get some help day to day, or it wonât be easy for you. Poor you, I hope you mend quickly. Sending love and hugs
I got my son living not to far away , he visits if im in need of help I could ask him , but I see myself with my foot propped up and just being lazy , which is going to be hard cause im always trying to keep busy .
Aw Eliza - sorry to hear itâs broken.
Let your son wait on youâŠ
Good morning all.
Oh dear. The thread of the wounded people. .
All those that are not wounded or suffering of any medical complaints, hands up. No show, ok. I will carry on,
Well at least it is at the moment sunny but clouds are building up.
I just did a short walk with Minnie.
Going to Sainsburyâs shortly, I am just waiting for the ache in my knee to ease. I have succumbed to taking paracetamol, that I admit to they do help.
Have a good day people. If you can.
Morning everyone, itâs a bit dreary here today. Got the washing machine on, though - ever hopeful, thatâs me!
Hmm, yes the thread of woes. It reminds me of the rare occasions I use the bus, after the morning rush, when itâs mostly us pensioners with our bus passes. The conversations I overhear are all about medications, aches and pains, hospital appointments and so on. The currency of old age.
Iâve been asked by a friend of my daughter if I could make a memory bear from her dadâs shirts - he died a couple of days ago. I rarely take on such requests, but I know her too, and Iâve said yes. Iâve already got a good pattern, because I made one for my granddaughter some years ago out of leftover scraps from clothes Iâd made her.
Will be going up to see the dogs later - daughterâs dog and sonâs dog that daughter is looking after while theyâre away. Theyâre such good friends, bless them.
Morning all.
Yes, the joys of getting old. Older sister phoned last week and that was what she said, when we compared all our ailments, and those of her OH, and our siblings. For now, touch wood, I am ok, nothing major to report. Just a slowness of getting out of bed/sofa, or when playing with the dog on the floor. Iâm just grateful I can still be active enough to do what I want or need.
Get well soon, everyone.
Dog wants to play. Laters.
Good morning all ,
@Emjay you made me laugh,
on Sunday my Son was on way home when he saw this group of oldie , with zimmer frames as well.
He said they were taking ages to cross the road .
Then this oldie was swinging the zimmer frame over the heads and they were doing a jig ,
it was then he realised they were all Young people dressed up as oldies .
Im finding the Boot im having to wear is so cumbersom,
also when I got up in the night to let Ellie out , i over balanced and finished up on the living room floor .
Its not easy when you trying to keep weight off injured leg .
The weather here is blustery , but im not going anywhere , so it can do as it pleases .
@Bathsheba the little outfits you made for the girls look lovely , You do realise now you have started something ⊠they will be wanting matching outfits always
Well have a wonderful day everyone , lets try and keep on our feet and not on the floor .
