Chit Chat Thread (Part 2)

I should be writing. We will have our ‘how have you all done this past week?’ update tomorrow, and I have nothing to report. So I too have had CBA moods. I just want to sit and read, and watch telly, and play with the dog. Maybe later…

Morning all.

After our weekly cafe meet, and then dog walk, I will set to cleaning the bathroom. And get some of yesterday’s shopping into the freezer (separating and bagging). Need to put some chicken drums into a marinade, for cooking later.

A £5 win on last night’s Set for Life (still dreaming of the big win), so have bought a ticket for the Euro. I don’t want to win big. The £10k a month would do nicely (think how many caravan holidays I can have!), or just enough so I can buy a bungalow. Nothing fancy. I am soooooooo envious of those who have a conservatory and a kitchen big enough for a dish washer. And maybe a garage. And no stairs to fall down,:roll_eyes: I have visited homes of coffee group friends and been in awe. Still, I guess I have to be grateful for what I have.

Have a good day. Ooh look, the sun is struggling to get through. :sun_with_face::sun_with_face:

Good morning all.
A sunny day here ,I have no plans .
@Jazzi good luck with your Euro Ticket .How about writing short stories for Magazines .Payments from these could fund a Conservatary…

Have a wonderful day .

Morning everyone, cloudy and warm here but the sun is trying to break through, so probably be a nice day later…

Back from our early walk and the forest has never looked quite so lovely, with everything now in leaf. No plans for the day other than cooking a curry for lunch.

Enjoy your day

Good morning all.
Sunny and hot already.
I am not doing an early Sainsburys shop, but will go a bit later.
Also have a meet up for lunch at Morrisons later.
Writing stories and pictures for magazines. It would seem everyone and their brother does this. It is a crowded market.
Speaking from experience. I had to do, 1000 words and pictures for a National magazine every month for a few years. Also had photos published in some papers.
All whilst doing my day job driving a cab.

Emjay is right, it is a crowded market. But I say thank goodness for Amazon. At least we budding authors have a chance to earn something if we self publish (after their commission etc.)

I can’t seem to write the kind of stories that the magazines like and want. I start off with the story being okay then it turns dark and into a thriller. Just my preferred genre I guess.

Well it was just a thought , fingers crossed you get lucky with the Euro…

Just don’t forget who your friends are Jan…

Good afternoon everybody.

I’ve spent the morning in bed. I still feel so weak & washed out from the tummy bug. My goal for today is to have another walk round the park. I only managed half way round yesterday.

I think I need a tonic or pick me up - can anybody recommend one please?

Have a good day all…

Carol, I think the only one available is metatone. I think it is in liquid form.

Pharmacies will sell it and I’m sure it’s been noticed in supermarkets, in the medicine aisle (check).

Get well soon.

Good morning all.
Phew .But I love it.
Got a phone appointment with my GP this afternoon. I have decided that I am going for the knee replacement. If the NHS wait is going to be too long. I shall go private.
Very soon I am going to give Minnie a trim and a bath.

Good afternoon everybody.

I’m going to sit outside & watch Tony do some weeding.

Have ordered some Metatone tonic from express chemist on line. I sure do need a boost to get me going.

Have a good day all…

Good luck Emjay. Hope you make the right decision.

I had maybe an hour out in the garden, in between noise from neighbours. Came in to cook lunch and watch telly. Holly soon followed me as she didn’t know where to lay.

Just lost our Lidl virginity. First time ever there today in a recently opened store, as we had a twenty quid voucher to spend there. Must say we weren’t impressed with the layout and the checkout was abysmal, so I doubt it will see us again…

I quite like Aldi or Lidl, have to admit.

I don’t mind Aldi, use it quite a bit but for some reason this particular store didn’t work, hard to nail down why as It’s virtually identical to the Aldi model…

Morning all.

Off out soon, walking to Morrisons. Argh, why did I invite myself along? Looks like it will be very hot! Mind, lots of trees along the way, so hopefully will be shady and cooler.

Hope Susie enjoys her birthday.

Morning everyone, going to be a warm one here too. :sunglasses:

Mum is visiting for lunch today but not much else planned, just wait and see what turns up.

Enjoy the day folks

Good morning all.
Not a lot going on here at the moment.
Done the painful morning stroll with Minnie.
I have to go and pick up a letter from the surgery later.
