Morning folks.

Looks to be a beautiful day out there.

Good morning all.
Yes that was a moving post Sheba, and there is not much more one can say when a brother, sister, or another loved one dies.
Weather here is warm and sunny. The foxes were out sunning themselves as we went on our morning stroll.
My grandson is supposed to be coming here and we are going to do some more cementing on my garden crazy paving.

Good morning all ,
rather cloudy and overcast here ,
No plans for me today .
Have a wonderful day .

Morning everyone, well it started off bright and sunny, but is now rather overcast.

I think I’m going to make myself a couple of stretchy fabric headbands today - when we were driving home on Friday it was very warm, and the aircon in Mr B’s car needs re-gassing, so we had to have the windows open. It’s OK for him cos he hardly has any hair, but I get so fed up with my hair blowing in my face all the time! Even if I tie it back and put clips in, there are always escapee strands that insist on irritating the hell out of me. So a headband it is, I reckon. That’ll teach them.

No other plans, I’m feeling rather lethargic, to be honest, which I’m blaming the weather for

Hve you ever tries to get you NHS medical records via computer download? Talk about hard it is nigh impossible.
I wanted to get the NHS record of my last covid vaccination. Not only they want the usual you NHS number- name-address-age- where you live- but also a photo copy of a legal document ie driving licence or passport.
Oh it doesn’t stop there far from it, they want a short video of your face reading out the 4 numbers they give you and a direct photo of you as well. Then they fail to match everything up or say the video didn’t show up and you have to start over again.

Security is one thing but this is plain stupid. Their web site is the most unhelpful I have come across, the question answer section doesn’t even cover my request type. No wonder the NHS is in such a mess.
And if you don’t have an android tablet or mobile phone or camera forget even trying, no allowance for doing it on a computer

Couldn’t agree more, I gave up when it came to the photo bit.
Not putting my face out there for some toerag to nick ~ you trust this site? I don’t!

At our surgery you just register at the desk with some photo ID and that’s it, job done… :+1:

Good morning all.
Not going out today, need to do a bit of sunbathing.
Bathsheba, I am thinking of you and your family.
Have a nice day all.

Morning all.

Tescos for me, maybe. I shall catch the bus, taking my shopping trolley. Save on the petrol. And I can’t then buy so much.

Good Morning
A beautiful sunny day and pleased to say that wind as dropped .
The temps are soaring upto 30c this week ,which I find too hot ,so must find a shady corner of the Garden .
I think I know the spot , so that maybe a project to do to make it comfortable .

Im expecting a Food delivery today , not for me but for returning holiday makers .They will pick it up later today im thinking .

Have a wonderful day

Morning good people, not so sunny here today and cooler but no high winds either, so no complaints… :sunglasses:

No firm plans other than knocking up,a salad for lunch, and I hope to phone an old friend later who is about to have a major operation, to offer some encouragement.

Hope Coco is a little better today @susiejaeger ?

Enjoy the day

Good morning all.
It is already quite warm and plesent at the moment. Just back from the morning stroll with Minnie.
Already got a bread in the make and 65 minutes to go.
I am going to repair my wheelbarrow soon. I have already WD 40 the nuts. So that will make it easier to dismantle it.
That’s it I think. Nah, something else will turn up to do.

Good morning everybody.

I’m sorry I haven’t been in touch sooner but for the past week I’ve been ill in bed with only my mobile phone.

The day before I was due to go to Weymouth I took ill with violent sickness. Of course the holiday had to be cancelled.

I was like it until Wednesday when I thought I was dying so called the doctor. Our own doctors wouldn’t come but I got one from 111. He was very thorough and couldn’t find anything seriously wrong so assumed it was a tummy bug. At this point I hadn’t eaten for four days. He left me sickness medication with instructions to get to hospital if it didn’t work. Luckily, by the next day I had stopped retching & feeling nauseous.

It’s just taken me all that time to get a bit of strength back. I have been feeling so washed out & dizzy & weak. I have literally spent all the past week in bed. I have started eating again but only fancy salads - the thought of any other food makes me feel sick.

I still feel washed out, but today I’m going to make an effort to get dressed & go a little walk round the park with Tony.

I will be back later to view all the posts.

I hope everyone is alright…

Good to see you up and about now, Carol. I have been thinking of you, since your FB post, hoping for an update. I know recovery from these things can take some time. Hope Tony managed ok. Get well soon. Sending hugs. X

@carol …. Sorry you missed your holiday Carol, I hope you feel better soon.

Morning all. It’s a lovely bright, sunny day again - fingers crossed this will carry on for a good while yet!

@carol I’m sorry to hear you’ve been so unwell, and missed your holiday, what a shame. It sounds as if you had the same violent sickness bug my nephew had last month. He was vomiting every hour for the first 24 hours, and the sickness went on for about 3 days. He was so severely dehydrated because he was even throwing up the water his mum was trying to get down him. Had to visit the Devon Doctors unit at the hospital in the end. I do hope you will regain your strength soon, it is so debilitating, isn’t it.

I had such a lazy day yesterday, did absolutely sweet FA. I just felt so lethargic all day, was in a real CBA mood :see_no_evil: I got as far as cutting out the fabric for the hairbands I said I’d make, and then I couldn’t be bothered sewing them up. I will do them today!

I’ve also got to alter some lanyards for my daughter - she works in a ā€˜special school’, mostly quite severely autistic boys, and following an incident whereby a member of staff was nearly strangled when a pupil got hold of the scarf she had round her neck, they’ve all been told they mustn’t wear anything around the neck except their lanyards and these must have a ā€˜break’ feature if pulled. So I’ll be cutting hers and putting velcro on them.
