Chit Chat Thread (Part 2)

Good Morning , its a lovely day out there , but next few day are going to be better .
Ive no plans for today ,theres not a lot to fill the day now the garden is set out .
I will maybe take a stroll to the Memorial Park, and walk along the Cliffs.

Have a wonderful day

Good morning all.
I managed to walk around the big field just now, with Minnie of course.
Leg was aching a bit but not as bad as it has been.
My daughter got me some stick on cool pads yesterday, seemed to help. But they did not stick on as the label stated. So I held it on with cellotape.
I have also ordered those pads that Carol mentioned from Amazon and should get them today. Delivered to their drop off in Morrison.
Also going to the hospital for the injection of the other knee later this afternoon.
Weather here at the moment ok, but don’t look too promising.

Good morning all, brightening up here after a cool night but no plans for the day, just wait and see I guess…

Good luck with the injection Emjay…

Have a good day everyone

Good morning all, sun is out.

Off to visit Next at the retail park, I would like a pair of Short Pyjamas.

Then wait in for a parcel.

Fish & Chips for lunnch.

Have a nice day all.

Morning all, chilly start to June, but it promises to be lovely later.

I have a bit of sewing to do today, won’t take me long. Yesterday my granddaughter was here for a couple of hours, and she asked if she could do some sewing. I found a simple idea on Pinterest, a two foot long snake. Basically a tube of fabric, the head section being a different colour and with a tongue sticking out, and two buttons for eyes. She did a good job - the bit she loved best was stuffing it with toy stuffing! I helped her with the hand sewing, and shaping the head, but it was all her own work otherwise.

She’s probably coming round for a sleepover tonight, and no doubt she’ll want to sew something else!!!

Good morning all .
Temps are going up to 20c today ,Im going to watch some of the Trooping of the Colours today.
Have a wonderful day .

Morning all.

I am led to believe some of the Jubilee fly past air craft will be preparing the formation off our coasts (including the Red Arrows, yay!), so I am going to make my way to the sea front, and find a bench, to sit and watch. Will leave the dog at home, even though she enjoys the walk there. I can take her out afterwards.

Then it’ll be housework later.

Good morning all.
Yes it looks as it could be a good day today weather wise.
Had my right knee yesterday, and all good.
Left knee still playing up, but still managed to stroll with Minnie around the whole of the big field.
The treatment packs that I ordered from Amazon arrived late to Morrisons yesterday, so I shall go pick it up shortly.
Daughter has gone again to the IOW, and grandson has gone with a friend to the Lake District. He is already there, so gawd knows what time he left this morning,
Have good weekend folks.

Morning everyone, the sun is shining here after a cool night, but looks like being a smashing day weatherwise :sunglasses:

Visitors for lunch so I’m going to make a vegetable curry and bake some crusty bread to clean the plates up with, and rhubarb crumble for pud… yum yum…

Enjoy your day folks :man_cook:

Morning all, looking lovely outside this morning, nice blue sky and sunshine.

I have a long babysitting session later - from about 4.00 till 11.00 tonight. My daughter and granddaughter are going to come with me (it’s half term so doesn’t matter if the nearly 7 year old is late to bed). They will be a great help, because the baby suffers terribly from colic, and quite simply cries in pain as soon as she’s put down, so the only option is to hold her all the time.

I’m going to pop out shortly and get a few things to make dinner for the three of us. It has to be vegetarian, and it has to be something that the nearly 7 year old will eat (she is very finicky), so I’ve settled on a sausage, egg and baked bean pie.

And somehow, I want to find time to watch some of the Jubilee events on TV!

Good morning everybody.

I’m meeting my friend Jean for lunch today & later will be taking some stuff to the charity shop with Tony.

Tonight there’s the lighting of a Queens jubilee beacon outside out village hall and we’re hoping to go to that.

Have a good day all…

Morning folks.

Last night on last dog walk I saw lots of people walking from the direction of our coast line and eventually asked ā€˜have I missed a party?’ And was reminded of the beacon lighting. Ah, that made sense.

Not sure what I will do today.

Morning all, nice and sunny here.
Out early to do our weekly shopping and that’s it.
Have a nice day all.

Morning everyone, a bit dull here but I think a day in the garden is planned, Rosemary is going to do some pruning so I’ll be on clearing up duties no doubt…

Enjoy the day folks

Good morning all , Watching the Trooping of the Colours , and the Fly past yesterday made me feel quite emotional .And when the Queen and Family came on the Balcony it made me feel proud to be British .
I hope the Royals Reign for ever .

Charles and Camilla were good sports i thought for going on Eastenders , Ive not watched it since Dirty Den was in it .
But last night I did watch it and I give C&C top marks , Charles especially .

Today its a bit overcast at the moment ,
Ive had the Oven on and cooked a Chicken Pie, and a Pizza , plus on the Hob a Mince in Bolenese sauce , ready for my Spag Bog dinner . The Pie will go in the Freezer for another day .

Have a wonderful day .

Ive a delivery of food today

Good morning everybody.
We went to the lighting of the beacon last night but it was a bit of a damp squib really. I asked the councilor who lit it if it was going to stay in for four days but he smiled & said he wouldn’t think so!

Today there’s some sort of a fete going on but I’m not bothering. I need to get the cases out & decide what I’m taking for my five days in Weymouth next week with Ady & Paula. Also some jobs that need doing in the garden…

Have a good day all…

A very late good morning or early afternoon all.
I just forgot to log in this morning. I had a bit of a rush and had to get out early to go feed my daughters cat. I thought that there would be the usual Friday traffic going there. Wrong. The roads were extra quiet.
Not doing much today, just taking it easy.
I did pick up those pads that Carol recommend and they seem to work.

Good morning all,
Last of the nice days today , tomorrow its going to rain all day …
Ive no plans other than a trip to take some bedding to the Charity Shop.
Have a wonderful day.

Morning all.

Hmmm…what shall I get up to today? No idea. I do have a meat pie to make, (cooked meat and pastry defrosted), but that’s about it.

Oh yes, could change my water filter, and see if kettle needs descaling (which isn’t often, because of using the filter). And I think I have some bed linen to put in the WM. Oh how exciting is retirement?

Morning everyone, a cool breeze here but hopefully the sun will offset the chill later.

We are going to Newstead Abbey today for a walk around the gardens and have a picnic, just hope it isn’t too crowded and the wind drops a little but whatever, it will get us out of the house…

Have a pleasant day everyone
