I must admit I have never eaten a quality truffle . I have eaten chocolate truffles but was told not true truffles or bottom of the line truffles .
As someone who enjoys useless info the most expensive truffle —

As a 14 year old schoolboy I was interested in science, particularly making explosives…It was great fun. One foggy November evening I placed a home made device in the wall outside our house. I mainly went for the bangs rather than the damage.
I lit the fuse and did a runner…It went off with the loudest explosion I had ever produced…The darkened street suddenly lit up as people turned on outside lights and ran outside…Including my Dad…
It would be an understatement to say that he was angry…
He marched me back into the house and made me hand over all of my explosive mixture, he then scattered it into dustbin with a bucket of water for good measure.
What he didn’t realise, was the mixture I handed over was harmless copper sulphate. Being blue it looked quite impressive and he didn’t know much about chemicals, so I knew he’d be fooled…
I realised that if he found the concealed explosive mixture hidden in the house he would blow his top, so I decided to let it off in the back yard while he and mum were at work…
Because, like black powder, it had to be contained in a confined space to explode, so I just placed a pile of the stuff on the path and stuck in a lighted match…Just expecting a bright flash…
It exploded in my face, burned off my eyelashes and eyebrows and I was completely blind…
Fortunately for me, my next door neighbour was a district nurse and heard the bang and rushed round. She washed out my eyes and packed me off to hospital.
I recovered and regained my sight thanks to Nurse Moulds…Dad was surprisingly calm when he heard the full story, and made me promise never to make bombs again…

Personally, I have met people who are in their 20’s & who feel old to me. Whilst I have also met people in their 70’s & older, who are young at heart & still living life to the full & with enthusiasm.

On another note I was at pet store yesterday and goliath tarantulas which you had were 100 dollars , recall when 20 dollars .
I’m 63 now but I noticed a change in how I felt physically at 61. That’s when I started to feel a bit limited into what I could do. However, I felt quite young not long ago when I was about to go into a CT scanning machine and the nurse suddenly asked me if there was a any chance I could be pregnant.
I live in London and rarely get offered a seat on bus or underground .
When I do it is invariably from a tourist or obviously non British person.

Having got old (81), quite unfit and now looking back, I can say it was about 78 for me. It was quite sudden and unexpected.

People, young and not so young are generally courteous here in London. I don’t really know about other parts of the country.
Most people around here are tourists or obviously non British. The rest feel sorry for a sad old git.
You would always be offered a seat up here in Yorkshire Helen, and it would be mine if I was on the same bus…
Perhaps I need to re-phrase that…
