Aren't you glad now that we left the EU?

He’s really not

Things will inevitably get worse because of Brexit and they have condemned our children and grandchildren to diminished and impoverished lives

This is just the beginning

Correct .
As if they haven’t got to pay for swindlers on furlough for the rest of their lives too.

Haven’t you heard of the moon.

I have I go out to bay at it at times .
Last couple of nights in fact .

Our trade with the EU was getting less and less year on year even before Brexit and growing with the rest of the world.

Did you see the two articles I posted above.

If the main cause is Brexit why is the whole world effected including China.

Well I suppose the Moon doesn’t have any hard borders yet.

Hard cheese.

There are different reasons .
The covid pandemic in China , tech downfall, problems in America the Ukraine war .
But the major reason for our economic downturn is Brexit .
We knew this would happen , economists knew this would happen but we were beguiled by Johnson and his ilk whose aim has always been personal advancement .
We hate to have foreigners laying down the law for us - and all this is right - but we have cut off our nose to spite our face .

And what’s the reason for the EU’s downturn?

There is this war ………
It has affected everything , security economy global food and energy supplies .
Coming on top of the pandemic lockdown it has been disastrous for Europe …

I hate to say it but there is a lot of truth in this article .

Just read it and it sounds like sour grapes to me.

Did you read the article by the Chairman of M&S also in today’s Guardian.

I think there’s more truth in this article:

It may well have not been working ( I voted out btw something I now regret ) but I think we could have been more effective if we had taken a stronger stance inside the EU.

Can’t find it .

That is The ROI and the EUs problem surely ?

@Muddy ,’ that’s the ROIs and EU s problem surely’
You sound so mixed up Muddy ?
One minute you blame BREXIT !

I’m not blaming them I’m saying it’s their problem that this complication has arisen .
We don’t care if our stuff goes into the ROI without umpteen border checks.
Brexit was a mistake but if the EU want to build a wall to the ROI let them do it at their expense.

It sounds like you are accusing her of being sludge. :018:
