Am I drinking too much alcohol?

When I was in Oz I drank iced coffee, I don’t like beer.

You can’t beat a couple of Beers and a Whiskey chaser. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

My mother told me something that I live with: “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”

As long as you feel, physically good!

My mother told me something that I live with…
"Early to bed, early to rise, makes a boy Healthy, wealthy, and wise…
:sunglasses:

I don’t know about that one! hah

My youngest son works 3rd shift (just all kinds of hours to be honest) and he’s healthy, weathy, and… Well my son and I love him

Well, I was late to bed and late to rise, I’m reasonably healthy,

I think “wise” is something that went extinct around 2016

Best thing to do if unsure about drinking too much is to drink a few glasses more. Then you can be sure you are. It takes the uncertainty and questioning right out of it. :icon_wink:

Don’t know about that, one thing is sure, ain’t about to “Prohibit” me self

The only dilemma I have about drinking is whether to buy Abbot Ale or Old Speckled Hen.

Not too fussy in Pubs. Whatever is on the pump is OK. This is every Thursday lunchtime when I meet a friend for a pint and a bag of crisps.

The fact that you posted the question probably means that you are…

If you have to ask “ am I drinking too much?”

You probably are !

OK serious stuff and I shouldn’t make light of it. Just my overriding nature unfortunately. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Others drinking to the same degree might not be so healthy drinking that much. What’s right for one person isn’t for another. I don’t know how long you have been drinking that amount but at aged 90+ you still seem as bright and sharp as a pin. Hopefully so for some years yet.

The only demise of seemingly healthy drinkers that I have known about is sudden liver problems. If you plan to be as healthy as possible, you should try to cut down or stop the drinking I suppose. Like I’ve heard someone say, “Who want’s to live to be 93?” Answer: someone who is 92.

Being “Blotto” is not a good place to be!!!

Don’t know about England but with the increase in the minimum price of alcohol in Scotland the price of a bottle of whisky is now £18.20 Up from £14.

Certainly not something I’d want to be doing.

Me neither Rox, I woke up with my last hangover when I was 27 and decided that getting drunk was not for me. To get rid of the hangover I tried every medical concoction in the book but finally went out for a run up the lane. I had not run since I left school, and it nearly killed me. Strangely as well as clear up the hangover, there was something I liked about running. Almost 50 years later and I’m still plodding along and experiencing the same high as I did all those years ago…
Albeit slower and much shorter distances now…
