I’ve got a lift and kindness story.
My mate had a white Mini and kindly stopped to give me a lift.I got in and sat down without looking but it wasn’t him.It was someone else in a white Mini stopping to ask directions.Luckily it wasn’t a woman,so no screams.

Kindness? I try. I used to fix cars. for my family. New years, freezing, and I was out there fixing my cousin’s car - a major with challenge with a major leaf spring. While I was about this the boys had got up and set off to a New Year football match. That’s was fine.

Well, I suppose. But it was my choice. Fix his car or enjoy his football.

That was an act of kindness…especially to give up watching the football match. I’m sure it was appreciated.

however I do believe that acts of kindness can be falsified to curry favors ? and just to impress your immediate circles or village etc. Then they are well broadcast and over played. the real ones I find are the quiet ones - those that don’t required any reward as most religions preach - surely stating our “acts of kindess” on here can seen to be somewhat boastful perhaps?

Just met a new neighbour who lives a few doors up from me, we got talking because of his beautiful red setter dog,…he was telling me he had 3 cars, I told him I don’t have a car, but can drive…

He offered to take me shopping…how kind was that…

wouldn’t it have been kinder to off you the loan of one of his three cars?

the youth take a long time to learn kindness in any form - some never learn kindness to animals even?

Yes,love your enemies.That will really annoy them.

I have a kindness story.Going home on the train after working late I was in a compartment with a family going on holiday to the West Country.As soon as we left Paddington out came the potato wine.They very kindly helped me out of the train at Reading although I was quite prepared to go to Plymouth with them.

wouldn’t it have been kinder to off you the loan of one of his three cars?

We only met yesterday, gumbud, oh no, I wouldn’t expect him to loan me a car, he’s got a classic car, I can’t remember what he said it was, plus when we introduced ourselves to each other, he forgot my name and I forgot his, we ended up asking each other , sorry what did you say your name was, when we parted…my memory ain’t what it used to be, I think his red setter was called Rufus…once again I can’t remember.

Not if the acts of kindness were performed by someone else, or we were the recipient @gumbud … It’s only boastful if it was the writer of the post who performed the act of kindness…

but!! do I have the right to broadcast someone elses kindness act without their permission ?? we do have to be terrible careful about these things?
